Couple of points:

6:8 But Noah found favor (ח&#1503 in the eyes of the LORD (Yahweh).

Favor is not something that Noah could do or earn favor, it is entirely something with Yahweh.

Also, the word used for “perfect” (תמי&#1501 is also translated as “complete” or “blameless” or “whole.” It is something that results from the favor of 6:8. See how this same word is used in Gen. 17:1 relative to Abram regarding the covenant. Interestingly it is commonly used to describe the lamb sacrifice in Exodus and Leviticus.

Well Sunday my husband and brothers all went to the shooting range. Now they all have Mosin shoulder.

They have Mosin Nagant's (M44) and they kick pretty badly. A Mosin shoulder is one highly bruised.
