Back to dreary, rainy and cold. Yuk! I'd rather have snow. Oh well... Back to gathering firewood.

I heard from three of my four kids yesterday. My oldest is still ignoring me, but three out of four is acceptable for now.

It appears one of them started a FB site for their mother. However, they put it under her first married name, kinda. Very strange. My wife has been dead twenty years and she has a FaceBook page... 'Course, the kids won't let me into it. That's okay though as the whole thing is just a bit creepy.

well....pastor, his wife, a teenager, an elder, and myself managed to stencil and cut (with exacto blades, no less) 80 paper bags full of stars (for luminarias for the Living Nativity tonight) in about 2 1/2 hours.....my hands hurt, my backside hurts, and my back hurts - but we listened to an awesome Christmas album while we did it and had a great time!! can't wait for tonight to see those pretty bags all lit up.....and to see the Living Nativity!!

Sounds pretty. We like to line our driveway (it's quite long) with kerosene lanterns on Christmas Eve. It's particularly beautiful when there is snow. St. Louis is not always conducive to snow on Christmas though.

I'd love to see a live nativity. It's been years since I've seen one.

There used to be a live nativity at the north entrance of Jefferson Barracks right at Broadway and Telegraph by a cemetary on the Mississippi river side. Don't know if it's there anymore.
