Well, we had the first snow of the season yesterday. Sadly, by ten o'clock it was all gone.

The problem with snow here on the West Coast is that there isn't enough to play with. The advantage is that it doesn't get as cold here either. No frost heave problems. Twelve inches or so is deep enough for plumbing, foundations, etc... Therefore, it's also all that much less wood I have to cut and split.;)

Love the trees in the snowy pic, Stude. It makes me long for a trip to Ruidoso, but no time for that this Christmas.

We have snow forecast for the latter part of the week and all weekend. As cold and foggy as it's been, it was bound to happen eventually. We were planning on putting up the tree and having our own little Thanksgiving Saturday, so a little snow might be nice to add to the festive mood. :)

you guys can have our snow. And our ice. Bleh.

I do like snow, but when it's combined with ice I have to admit I don't like it much. Most people know how to drive around here, but I still had someone tailgating me this morning when I was driving 30 (like all the other drivers) and trying not to slip all over the road.

A cup of peppermint tea is nice for tummy aches.

Very true! In fact, peppermint in general is. Therefore, a peppermint Frappachino from Starbucks or even just a peppermint Candy Cane will do the job.;) I like using peppermint flavoured syrup in my whipped cream for Pumpkin Pie too.

Supposed to be a blizzard rolling in tomorrow with up to a foot of new snow on top of the 5 inches or so of fluff we already have. We cancelled travel plans to make sure my wife could be at the store on Friday. You wouldn't think Black Friday would be big in used clothing but it's a pretty busy day.

We are suppose to get an ice storm in the morning. YUCK!! I hope it misses us as my son is to be driving tomorrow afternoon/evening.

Why in the world did I just read this as "an ice cream storm" and got my hopes all up??? ^_^

Wishful thinking.

Now I have "if all the raindrops were lemon drops and gumdrops...oh what a rain that would be" stuck in my head.

We're under a winter storm advisory right now and looking at the radar, it looks like a pretty nasty one. I hope anyone who is supposed to travel is leaving now rather than later. We start with freezing drizzle, switch to snow (possibly 3"), and then go back to freezing drizzle. We may see about 2" of ice on the roads.

We live right next door to our church and I wonder if we'll make it!! :D

Well if you're looking for an ice cream storm, come to Phoenix. It still gets hot enough here during the day to justify buying one.

Well, we have the icing today. Like PW, we are under a storm advisory, but it is for all of it to be ice. Don't think I will be making it to church tonight and we live next door too. Actually, I suspect that we will cancel.
