As you proceed in your studies, you'll find that many books have been written about this...you'll read a lot of good sounding words, but you won't get the answer.

This is good; complex but good. It addresses the assertion that God's motivations were amiss. Sort of goes along the lines of "Who are you to reply against God. Shall the thing created say to the Creator: why have you made me this way?"

I think it's also pointed that it explains that the ultimate good that God will establish; supersedes the "inconvenience" of the current presence of evil. That's absolutely true!

And in the end, ultimately God "gets His way". He conquers what has transpired and He planned it intentionally to do so.

It's a genius plan - it really is!

Ironically, the fact that God is successful in this, is seen by the reality that we are still here. Yet, it's also noteworthy that by the nature of what God is - He can not fail, so it's kind of not really an argument at all. LOL.

We know God is good and God is omnipotent because if He wasn't, we wouldn't be here debating these questions on this forum!

but some folk are in hospitals dying of cancer.

This would mean that God purposefully created something with a limitation.
This would make HIM the author of the evil.
This is not possible.

The whole purpose of the story of Adam and Eve is to show that God made everything perfectly...at the end of a creation, God said: It Is Good.

Then Adam fell.
WHAT made him fall from grace if God had made everything perfectly and it was good?

Now, if one believes God created everything and has everything planned out from the beginning of man to the end of the world...then that theology also believes that God created evil.

They have their answer.
But they'd be wrong because they'd be going against everything the bible teaches us about God...

that He is

Love
Merciful
Just
Holy

and any god that made evil is none of the above.

I don't mean to be giving you a difficult time.
I'm trying to show you that there is no answer to evil.
The story of Adam and Eve is basically to show how sin and evil entered into a perfect world. But it does not tell us where that evil originated or why it came into the world or how.

I believe God created everything seen and unseen.
The very universe had evil in it. Stars shine and give us sun and heat and eventually they die and explode and we would die if this were to happen in our lifetime. Black holes absorb everything around the singularity, never to be seen again.

We could discuss evil all day and talk ABOUT IT, like that book you suggested,,,but the answer of where it originates will not be there.

P.S. How could I have said evil is just sin if I've been saying all along that even nature is infested with evil.
Nature does not sin....but it still is invaded by evil.

As I already said, creation is not God, its limited compared to Him and therefore is also limited regarding good compared to Him.

If the limitation theory was correct, it would have been accepted. It hasn't been accepted because we can't limit God...God does not have limitations. Genesis states clearly that what He created was good.
We can't deny this fact.
