If a book claims that the Moon is made of green cheese, and when we go to the Moon we find that it is made out of rock, which is wrong? The book or the Moon?

If a map says that there is a 5 mile high mountain in the middle of Kansas, and a survey team finds that there is no mountain in the middle of Kansas, which is wrong? The map or Kansas?

If the book says there was a world wide flood and we look all over the earth and find evidence of it all over the world...whose wrong?

And it's a lot harder to belief that a world wide cataclysmic deluge put so many coccoliths only in that one specific area of the south coast of Britain.

But the cliffs are 350 feet high. If we take the generally accepted view that the Noahic Flood occurred nearly 4000 years ago, the uplift would have been something catastrophic.
@RickG, as a professional geologist, what effects on the surrounding environment would we see if the Cliffs of Dover reached it's full height in 4000 years?

I think it says something more about your view of God that he'd intentionally do it so that all evidence of a flood he was supposed to have done all disappears. Sounds a bit deceptive, doesn't it?
And yes, there is literally zero chance of the Earth being five miles underwater for a week, then two weeks later, they come across a full-grown olive tree. It really sounds to me more like a morality tale over literal history.
