The wicked shall be “revealed” = Greek: “Apokalupto” which means to “take the veil or cover off”.

In 2nd Thessalonians: And now you know what withholds (think of righteous Lot here in Sodom). Lot “lingered” in Sodom before he had to be removed out of the way.

“Lot” means “VEIL” in Hebrew. The veil must be removed so that the wicked are revealed in this coming time. Lot had acted as a veil which covered the wicked until he was removed out of the way.

2 Thessalonians 2:6-8 KJV
(6) And now ye know what withholdeth that he might be revealed in his time.

Lot “lingered” around in Sodom which prevented the destruction of the wicked after having learned that God's judgment had been pronounced upon them.

The men of Sodom were wicked. Yet, God had promised Abraham that He would not destroy the righteous with the wicked.

The righteous….the “veil”…. must be removed so that the wicked are “revealed” and who are then destroyed. This is coming to us as well.

The veil (Lot means “veil”) of the righteous must be removed out of the way so that the wicked are revealed (take the veil away).

(7) For the mystery of iniquity doth already work: only he who now letteth will let, until he be taken out of the way.
(8) And then shall that Wicked be revealed
, whom the Lord shall consume with the spirit of his mouth, and shall destroy with the brightness of his coming:

Now the men of Sodom were wicked…..

Genesis 13:13 KJV
(13) But the men of Sodom were wicked and sinners before the LORD exceedingly.

….but God had promised Abraham that He would not destroy the righteous with the wicked. The “Day of Christ” cannot come until the “veil” (LOT) be taken away so that the wicked are revealed.

Genesis 18:23-26 KJV
(23) And Abraham drew near, and said, Wilt thou also destroy the righteous with the wicked?
(24) Peradventure there be fifty righteous within the city: wilt thou also destroy and not spare the place for the fifty righteous that are therein?
(25) That be far from thee to do after this manner, to slay the righteous with the wicked: and that the righteous should be as the wicked, that be far from thee: Shall not the Judge of all the earth do right?
(26) And the LORD said, If I find in Sodom fifty righteous within the city, then I will spare all the place for their sakes.

Lot “lingered” around Sodom and had to be physically removed out of the way. Nothing could be done until Lot had escaped.

Genesis 19:22 KJV
(22) Haste thee, escape thither; for I cannot do any thing till thou be come thither. Therefore the name of the city was called Zoar.

There is a coming time when the tares and the wheat are to be separated. They have grown up together but the harvest is coming.

The righteous shall be removed in this coming time from the congregations of the wicked who will not believe in what they hear the Spirit saying.

The Lord comes to open up the Scriptures to our ears and minds and some will hear and believe while others will hear and not believe and will seek to contend and defend their own denominational teachings.

They …the wicked….will persecute any of those who will receive the Word of Truth. They will act as “one man” in their wicked speech and behavior.

We who will believe in the Word of Truth as spoken by the Lord in this coming time must leave the churches/congregations of men….being separate from them.

Some will be like Lot though and “linger” around in their churches and will face increased persecution of them with the evil words and actions of those they go to church with.

Yet, God is merciful and will deliver the righteous from the company of the wicked and those who will “linger” will be put through increasing pressure to leave as Lot experienced. God shall deliver the righteous....even those who will continue to linger.

2 Peter 2:7-9 KJV
(7) And delivered just Lot, vexed with the filthy conversation of the wicked:
(8) (For that righteous man dwelling among them, in seeing and hearing, vexed his righteous soul from day to day with their unlawful deeds)
(9) The Lord knoweth how to deliver the godly out of temptations, and to reserve the unjust unto the day of judgment to be punished:

The believers of the Word of Truth who will continue to linger around their churches will have increased temptations to return evil for their evil….IF NEED BE. The sooner one gets out the better. The longer one stays, the greater the persecutions will be.

1 Peter 1:5-6 KJV
(5) Who are kept by the power of God through faith unto salvation ready to be revealed in the last time.
(6) Wherein ye greatly rejoice, though now for a season, if need be, ye are in heaviness through manifold temptations:

For the wicked shall “weary” themselves in their persecutions of you to get you to speak evil back as they did Lot.

The wicked shall not understand as they will be struck with spiritual blindness and will not understand why you have received the Scripture of Truth as taught by the Lord.

They will “weary themselves” in their evil words against you in order to tempt you to speak evil back to them. We must not open the "door" of our mouths to speak evil in return for their evil pressure of us.

Genesis 19:9-13 KJV
(9) And they said, Stand back. And they said again, This one fellow came in to sojourn, and he will needs be a judge: now will we deal worse with thee, than with them. And they pressed sore upon the man, even Lot, and came near to break the door.
(10) But the men put forth their hand, and pulled Lot into the house to them, and shut to the door.
(11) And they smote the men that were at the door of the house with blindness, both small and great: so that they wearied themselves to find the door.

(12) And the men said unto Lot, Hast thou here any besides? son in law, and thy sons, and thy daughters, and whatsoever thou hast in the city, bring them out of this place:
(13) For we will destroy this place, because the cry of them is waxen great before the face of the LORD; and the LORD hath sent us to destroy it.

The wicked shall not have understanding as they will persecute those who will understand. Many will be tried as the wicked shall try their faith in what they hear in this coming time. the wicked shall do wickedly and will not understand.

Daniel 12:10 KJV
(10) Many shall be purified, and made white, and tried; but the wicked shall do wickedly: and none of the wicked shall understand; but the wise shall understand.

The words of the wicked shall be evil and shall try our faith in the “fire” of their flaming of us….as the burning, fiery furnace that did test Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego.

The evil speeches of the unbelievers in the churches of men in this coming time will be as a fire….but a fire that will not touch us when we do not return evil for their evil flaming of us.

But we must endure their persecutions with the whole armor of God on as Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego had their “hats” and their other garments on while being cast into the midst of the burning fiery furnace.

Daniel 3:21-25 KJV
(21) Then these men were bound in their coats, their hosen, and their hats, and their other garments, and were cast into the midst of the burning fiery furnace.
(22) Therefore because the king's commandment was urgent, and the furnace exceeding hot, the flame of the fire slew those men that took up Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego.
(23) And these three men, Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, fell down bound into the midst of the burning fiery furnace.

We must follow the Son of God….following in His footsteps…when our faith is tried by the burning “fiery” furnace of their evil accusations against us.

(24) Then Nebuchadnezzar the king was astonied, and rose up in haste, and spake, and said unto his counsellors, Did not we cast three men bound into the midst of the fire? They answered and said unto the king, True, O king.

Their “fire” shall not harm us when we follow in the footsteps of Jesus….the Son of God.

(25) He answered and said, Lo, I see four men loose, walking in the midst of the fire, and they have no hurt; and the form of the fourth is like the Son of God.

We must do well always even in the face of enduring grief by the wicked and suffering wrongfully for it.

1 Peter 2:19-25 KJV
(19) For this is thankworthy, if a man for conscience toward God endure grief, suffering wrongfully.
(20) For what glory is it, if, when ye be buffeted for your faults, ye shall take it patiently? but if, when ye do well, and suffer for it, ye take it patiently, this is acceptable with God.

We must be found “walking in the midst of the fire” in the footsteps of the Son of God and do no sin (returning evil for their evil). When Christ was reviled, He did not revile again. When He suffered, He did not threaten in return. He committed Himself to God that judges the wicked righteously . We must do the same.

(21) For even hereunto were ye called: because Christ also suffered for us, leaving us an example, that ye should follow his steps:
(22) Who did no sin, neither was guile found in his mouth:
(23) Who, when he was reviled, reviled not again; when he suffered, he threatened not; but committed himself to him that judgeth righteously:
(24) Who his own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness: by whose stripes ye were healed.
(25) For ye were as sheep going astray; but are now returned unto the Shepherd and Bishop of your souls.

We shall suffer evil persecutions by the wicked who will not believe in what the Spirit says unto the churches in this coming time.

The wicked will try the faith of those who will believe in what they hear the Spirit speaking in this coming time.

But they are counseled to be faithful unto the death….the death of the Lamb. We must keep the “daily” sacrifice of our Lord in our mortal bodies and die to sin…dying to the temptation to return evil for the evil persecutions of the wicked in this coming time.

Revelation 2:10-11 KJV
(10) Fear none of those things which thou shalt suffer: behold, the devil shall cast some of you into prison, that ye may be tried; and ye shall have tribulation ten days: be thou faithful unto death, and I will give thee a crown of life.

He that overcomes shall not be hurt of the “second death” as the wicked shall have no more sacrifice for their continued, willful sins….their speaking evil of us.

(11) He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches; He that overcometh shall not be hurt of the second death.

We are to keep the sacrifice of the Lamb especially when the wicked speak evil of us (the “fire” of their persecutions).

The wicked are revealed and the Lord shall consume them with the Spirit of His mouth as they will not be able to put up with what He has to say.

They are destroyed with the “brightness of His coming”….that is, His presence. This speaks of His “daily” sacrifice as kept by the righteous who will not return evil for evil. They will keep the sacrifice of the Lamb in their lives.

2 Thessalonians 2:7-8 KJV
(7) For the mystery of iniquity doth already work: only he who now letteth will let, until he be taken out of the way.
(8) And then shall that Wicked be revealed, whom the Lord shall consume with the spirit of his mouth, and shall destroy with the brightness of his coming:

The wicked shall speak all kinds of evil and be judged for every idle word in the Day of Christ. There will be no mercy shown to the wicked as the wrath of God is poured out “without mixture”…without His mercy.

They shall be tormented with fire (their tongue will be a fire that will bring themselves grief) and brimstone (the righteous judgment of God upon them) in the presence of the holy angels….the Lord’s words of life and spirit…and in the presence of the Lamb as the righteous shall keep His sacrifice in the face of the persecutions (the fire) of the wicked who shall be judged. The righteous shall be patient and shall not render evil for their evil.

Revelation 14:10 KJV
(10) The same shall drink of the wine of the wrath of God, which is poured out without mixture into the cup of his indignation; and he shall be tormented with fire and brimstone in the presence of the holy angels, and in the presence of the Lamb:
