There is something that has been bothering me about fanfictions for the last few years - the very common usage of some false god's name in vain. Usually it's a character that clearly isn't even a god at all. I see it so many times anymore, it's almost like it's obligatory. Even if it's not the true God, I still find it annoying and unnecessary. :/
