  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Man...I just can't ever find a fanfiction/video/etc. that makes my day without finding something later on that totally ruins it. This time I found a story I really loved, only to see the author post another story containing something I don't like and another that is NOT clean, and the one I loved (which was clean) got deleted for unknown reasons. I am so disgusted and disappointed right now. Like, this is why I don't trust people.

It's an ugly fact of life.

I had a moment last decade where I started noticing all sorts of bad things - in things that I had once considered good. I was given the advice to focus on the reason why I liked something (whether I noticed the bad things or not). It's helped me.

Since I've been in my 30s I've realized some bad parenting my mom has done. For example, she never talked to me about Jesus and His salvation growing up. NEVER. How can you be a Christian and never talk to your kids about those things? Isn't this very important?

She's a real Christian. She's accepted Christ's atonement for her sins.
