I've spend most of my young adolescent and adult life trying to explain everything with logic. But no matter how much knowledge we have, it doesn’t fill the emptiness in our hearts and souls. So, let’s remember to not only love God with our minds, but with our whole hearts.

Discussed these verses today in my men's group, God is good! It was definitely something I needed to hear.

Pro 3:5 Trust in the LORD with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding.
Pro 3:6 In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths.
Pro 3:7 Be not wise in your own eyes; fear the LORD, and turn away from evil.
Pro 3:8 It will be healing to your flesh and refreshment to your bones.
Pro 3:9 Honor the LORD with your wealth and with the firstfruits of all your produce;
Pro 3:10 then your barns will be filled with plenty, and your vats will be bursting with wine.
Pro 3:11 My son, do not despise the LORD's discipline or be weary of his reproof,
Pro 3:12 for the LORD reproves him whom he loves, as a father the son in whom he delights.

Right, we invent a god, this god “reveals” stuff to us and we’re all set.

Or God exists, but we'd prefer if He didn't- until we change our minds and finally consider His overtures, His revelations to us. Then we don't need to make stuff up. No one would make up the story of Christ anyway-too far-fetched, nothing much that would come to the human mind regarding a God.

Well, true enough to some degree. Or that we want to be our own god in any case.

Yes, and consider how fortunate we are that God has revealed Himself- as a God who'll be infinitely fair to those who have less knowledge, as I've come to view Him.

Really? The Jesus story is not really remarkable. There are loads of deity made flesh back from the dead stories in other religions.
