I agree. I used to tell him to stay here with us...we may beat him up...with pillows![]()
Now that's an ideaOr stick snow down my shirt!![]()
O.K., briefly over here:
My older son got his driving liscence and his first car in August.
His car was stolen and totalled by an underaged joy rider in September. It's now in my front yard, awaiting further decisions on the matter (legal and otherwise).
A week after that my younger son broke a leg while trying to set a new school long jump record. He's now out of the cast and the brace, the titanium pins are holding, and he's working on rebuilding the muscles.
My dog had another round of ear infections.
I became an unofficial godfather (since I am not officially a member of the state Lutheran church here) to my lady-friend's brother's son, born in August.
Our school burned out one of our new rookie teachers already.
I'm leading the middle school "peer mediation" project, and there has been some progress on reducing bullying and tensions between pupils (we think).
Last week's school shooting just north of here has sent shock waves through the area that will take a while to settle.
I guess those are the main things.
Now that's an idea
David was so surprised that I wasn't afraid of mice or creepy crawly things when we first met. Hey, I had two older brothers that used to put any moving thing down my back...kittens, snakes, toads, bugs...oy!
Muahahahahahaaaa...Funny, for me it was my sister who put stuff down my back. And pants too.![]()
Oh yeah! I forgot about Mrs. muuuuhaha...
She kinda skeers me....![]()
Oh sure, Grammy. And then what happens? She'll find something else to do while she's sitting there...![]()
OK, Let's see... I'll hit a few highlights...Many of us have had a number of changes in our lives that others may or may not be aware of: marriage, accidents, health issues, grandkids. Okay, that I didn't know about. Ahem. We have things happen every day, big and small, that affect our outlook, our temperment, our health; pretty much anything and everything.
So how about a place where we can put an update on the things that have changed for us, big or small, and where we can later let others know the resolution to those issues.
My quick update: graduated, passed the bar, got a job, left the job, starting own practice with former classmates.
Anyone else want to let us know what's changed or is changing in your life?
What she said (except for the first paragraph).![]()
I use to post in this forum two years ago as MaggieRose aka Magnify aka GraceAlone aka TryMe.
Due to selling house and changing emails lost access to that account.
I returned as fwm aka fwmcathy aka catofhope. Real name Cathy.
I had participated in the Fab Forty Matchmaking thread from Jan 2006.
Randy aka bvwsmaker and I admitted to having crushes on each other.
We slowly started to get to know each other better.
Then I left online life to pack up my house and move.
But I returned last December. Randy and I had continued to email ocassionally.
January 23rd, 2007 Randy and I started courting, dating with the expectation of marriage.
It was a 900 mile long distance relationship starting out with just PMing.
Eventually we started having LONGGGGGGGG conversations.
He spent his two week vacation here with me in August.
He stayed an extra day to propose.
Tonight he is finishing packing up all his worldly belongings.
Tomorrow the Uhaul truck will be loaded for the journey here.
He will stay with my parents until the wedding.
They got along fine when he stayed there this summer.
Prayers for traveling mercies.
We are getting married Saturday, December 1st, 2007 at 1 PM.
We are both never married and very excited about starting our life together.
God really has prepared each of us for the other.
