The Undercut

What are your thoughts about this hairstyle? Love it? Hate it? I see variations of it are very popular at the moment

I had one last summer and loved it. I liked the way it looked. I didn't like the amount of styling it took. Also, if the long part is too long it can get in your eyes....

After that undercut, I let my hair grow. I now have near-shoulder length curls and they're really annoying. I'm so eager to get my hair cut tomorrow.

I don't know if I'll do another undercut, or pick a modest version of a faux hawk. I will probably make that decision last minute.

I think the Joker had his hair like that in a recent Batman book "Joker Endgame" one of my friends got it for me for Christmas
well if it is good enough for Nazis and the Joker, then it must be a good haircut

alas, I have rather thin hair so I do not think I could pull that look off

What? I would date a girl with an undercut... as long as she can tilt her head without freaking out about her hair falling the wrong way.

That's basically what I've had going now for a while, although it's grown out a bit so it doesn't look tidy. It's a good look on dudes. Women get them too which I think is more dramatic cause they'll shave the sides and then have shoulder length hair on top. Not bad, I prefer a simpler style on women but there are chicks out there who pull it off really well.

Honestly, I think undercuts look better with short hair. But... women can rock that look too.

I like it. I think its fine for both girls and guys. Although probably not for everyone..not for curly haired people. Isn't it also called a buzzcut?

It depends on the individual person, but I think it could definitely work for you. Everyone I've seen with that style I think looks good. Even girls... But I think for some people it probably wouldn't work.
I don't really like the look if the shaved hair is too closely shaved though.

Well the undercut was also referred to as the 'SS Cut' or 'Hitler Youth cut' for a while.

The Nazi's might have been [trying to find a suitable replacement word here, but failing] but you must admit they had some classy styles.

Yeah I agree.

There's actually some interesting documentaries about the allure of Nazi fashion etc.. but I'd probably get in trouble if I posted them. Lol. They were evil, but they did have style. Lol.

I'm sporting the same haircut now...

I actually hate it. But my mom insisted I'll look good on it so I gave it a try but did not work out.

My hair would always go up no matter how long it grew....It defies gravity...go figure.

My last haircut looked similar to the undercut and I actually cut it myself but it's slightly longer at the sides and met the hair towards the top in a more or less, straight line. It looked better on me and one I could go out with, look great even without styling. The undercut as you said requires styling and a little more for me due to my gravity-defying hair.

Actually I did have one, although mine was a bob with an undercut. My hairdresser (mum) shaved some of my hair off underneath, and it sat better.

These days I have a fringe, which reminds me it needs trimming. Although I go to my friend now for hairdressing (sorry mum).

I think the undercut is the anti-mullet.
