how swift is the adversary to use agents of unbelief to discredit in judgment those he cannot judge.his name is william seymour and the only racial undertone is your referring to him by his skin colour instead of his name .

God found noah righteous destroyed the whole earth by flood and saved noah and his family...and noah then drank to a stupor.... what a ridiculous judgment to use that,a man drinking, to validate your mortal unsubstantiated non scriptural opinions.

I think you misunderstand what the bible says when it refers to tongues, it always refers to this as a human language. If you go read in the Greek and look at the below information, you will see this is true, it is explained extensively.

glóssa: the tongue, a language
Original Word: γλῶσσα, ης, ἡ
Part of Speech: Noun, Feminine
Transliteration: glóssa
Phonetic Spelling: (gloce-sah')
Short Definition: the tongue, a language, nation
Definition: the tongue, a language, a nation (usually distinguished by their speech).
HELPS Word-studies
1100 glṓssa – tongue, used of flowing speech; (figuratively) speaking, inspired by God, like the evidence of tongues-speaking supplied by the Lord in the book of Acts to demonstrate the arrival of the new age of the covenant (i.e. NT times).

[The normative experience of the 120 believers received "tongues (1100 /glṓssa) as of fire" (Ac 2:3) and miraculously spoke in other actual languages, i.e. that they could not speak before (Ac 2:4f). This sign was repeated in Ac 10:46, 19:6 – furnishing ample proof (three attestations) that the Lord had incorporated all believers into Christ's (mystical) body (1 Cor 12:13).]

Strong's Greek: 1100. ?????? (glóssa) -- the tongue, a language

1 Corinthians: 2. 9. But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him. 10. But God hath revealed them unto us by his Spirit: for the Spirit searcheth all things, yea, the deep things of God. 11. For what man knoweth the things of a man, save the spirit of man which is in him? even so the things of God knoweth no man, but the Spirit of God. 12. Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the spirit which is of God; that we might know the things that are freely given to us of God. 13. Which things also we speak, not in the words which man's wisdom teacheth, but which the Holy Ghost teacheth; comparing spiritual things with spiritual. 14. But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned. 15. But he that is spiritual judgeth all things, yet he himself is judged of no man. 16. For who hath known the mind of the Lord, that he may instruct him? But we have the mind of Christ. - Bible Offline

This was from that Hebrew Apostle Paul

on the topic of two types of tongues .. I really do not know ..
I can speak only what I experienced and most of what I have experienced I do not understand ...

-so I have spoken in tongues by opening my mouth and doing so ..
-I have been shaken so much my heels vibrated me across the floor and I bowed down with my face to the floor ..then rose up and ..I who was afraid to speak aloud to more then 2 people at a time let alone a church of 500 .. let rip in tongues as my tongue shook in my mouth ..
-I have observed in just giving of thanks waiting before the lord that I have felt gently moved as a branch may sway in the breeze and have begun praying on another tongue
-I have felt strongly stirred and prayed with abandonment in a warring tongue distinctly differing in sound from other times and seen images of war and swords of angels descending and demons driven away ..
- I have known a tongue(?)language so un-utterable that the only sound that rose from me was a groaning in cry out unto the lord (the spirit maketh intercession on our behalf with groaning's that cannot be uttered )

in all of these I found I was able to observe .. think about them in a manner separate to my mind ..like my carnal mind observed the Spirit at work at those times when my heart was simply available ,surrendered to him . that's why I say while I have experienced these things and believe to do so more and more ..my carnal mind remains unfruitful .. but oh how our hearts comprehend a little more the deep mysteries of God revealed to us in his gracious loving Spirit .

let us never hinder his mighty work in us by making stone walls with our intellect .
those who speak in an unknown tongue (by the utterance of the Holy Ghost) ,edify .praise .worship and speak the mysteries of God to HIS glory and perfect will .. NEVER FORBID IT ...

there are diverse kinds (forms, manifestations uses, purposes )of tongues ..
lets enter in by faith and grab hold in abandoned trust and belief of All our lord has for us .

Amen these are language.
A lady was praying in tongues in Alaska,a Native of the Eskimos
Walked up and how did you know our native language?
The lady replied she didn't but was praying in tongues.
The Eskimo said lady that was the most beautiful prayer I have ever heard!
The language or diver tongue is for a witness to glorify God.

The Spiritual tongues as mentioned in the 2nd Chapter of 1st Corinthians,Paul says in later verse that it is for our edification.

For me I compared the Spiritual tongue, but not word for word.
The message of the prayer comes instant all knowing all at once.
It can be overwhelming, and so profound you know only God could speak into your being like this.
When I speak in a language I cannot discern anything but the type of language,
And it could be a remote dialect.
I know there will come a time it will be interpreted as the Holy Spirit wills.

I hope this helps our posters question.
