This is pretty important so let's get right to it: There is an abomination at the start of 1290 days and also another one at the end of the 1290 days (Dan 12:11).

Key points to be made:
  • The Assyrian is the 1st antichrist at the start of the 1290 days.

  • The ruler of Tyre is the 2nd antichrist at the end of the 1290 days.

  • The Assyrian who was the first antichrist becomes the False Prophet to the ruler of Tyre, the 2nd antichrist, at the end of the 1290 days. In Dan 11:36-38, the Assyrian worships himself, then worships the 'god of fortresses', the ruler of Tyre (the Dan 7 Little Horn) (aka the king that arises in the latter reign of the Assyrian's transgression in Dan 8:23).

At the start of 1290 days (Dan 12:11) is when the 'daily' (the Hebrew word, 'tamid') is cut off. (Dan 12:11 uses this same word, 'tamid' for 'daily'- not 'daily sacrifices'). Cutting off the 'daily' is the 'transgression' (the Hebrew word, 'pesha', sometimes translated as 'rebellion' or 'apostasy') in Daniel 8:12. That word, 'transgression,' is carried over into Dan 8:23's 'when the transgressors have reached their limit' - THEN a king arises who understands 'riddles'. It is this 'riddler' who commits the 2nd abomination at the end of the 1290 days.

Let's look at how these two points are connected:

Dan 8:9 Out of one of them came a little horn, which grew exceedingly great toward the south, toward the east, and toward the glorious land. 10 It grew great, even to the host of heaven. And some of the host and some of the stars it threw down to the ground and trampled on them.
11 It became great, even as great as the Prince of the host. And the [H8548 ‘tamid’] daily was taken away from him, and the place of his sanctuary was overthrown. 12 And a host will be given over to it together with the [H8548 ‘tamid’] daily because of transgression, and it will throw truth to the ground, and it will act and prosper.
[…]
22 As for the horn that was broken, in place of which four others arose, four kingdoms shall arise from his nation, but not with his power.
23 And at the latter end of their kingdom, when the transgressors have reached their limit, a king of bold face, one who understands riddles, shall arise. 24 His power shall be great—but not by his own power; and he shall cause fearful destruction and shall succeed in what he does, and destroy mighty men and the people who are the saints. 25 By his cunning he shall make deceit prosper under his hand, and in his own mind he shall become great. Without warning he shall destroy many. And he shall even rise up against the Prince of princes, and he shall be broken—but by no human hand.

We can see that the transgression (the first abomination) begins before the king that attacks the saints arises.

Who is this 'king that understands riddles'? It is the ruler of Tyre. Here in Daniel 5, it is said that Daniel 'understands riddles'. Then in Ezekiel 28:2-3, the ruler of Tyre is said to be 'wiser than Daniel' and 'no secret is hidden from you'.

Dan 5:11 There is a man in your kingdom who has the spirit of the holy gods in him. In the days of your father he was found to have insight, intelligence, and wisdom like that of the gods.
Your father, King Nebuchadnezzar, appointed him chief of the magicians, enchanters, astrologers, and diviners. Your own father, the king, 12 did this because Daniel, the one he named Belteshazzar, was found to have an extraordinary spirit, as well as knowledge, understanding, and the ability to interpret dreams, explain riddles, and solve difficult problems. Summon Daniel, therefore, and he will give you the interpretation.”

Ezek 28:2 “Son of man, say to the prince of Tyre, Thus says the Lord God: “Because your heart is proud, and you have said, ‘I am a god, I sit in the seat of the gods, in the heart of the seas,’ yet you are but a man, and no god, though you make your heart like the heart of a god— 3 you are indeed wiser than Daniel; no secret is hidden from you;
Now we get to the interesting part. In Daniel 11, we know that it is the Assyrian who places the abomination in Dan 11:31 because the 'ships of Kittim' attack him. This is a reference to Numbers 24:24 But ships shall come from Kittim and shall afflict Asshur (Assyria) and Eber; and he too shall come to utter destruction.”

Dan 11:29 “At the time appointed he shall return and come into the south, but it shall not be this time as it was before. 30 For ships of Kittim shall come against him, and he shall be afraid and withdraw, and shall turn back and be enraged and take action against the holy covenant. He shall turn back and pay attention to those who forsake the holy covenant. 31 Forces from him shall appear and profane the temple and fortress, and shall take away the [H8548 ‘tamid’] 'daily'. And they shall set up the abomination that makes desolate.

Note that the Assyrian worships himself and the god of fortresses.

Dan 11:36 Then the king will do as he pleases and will exalt and [H1431 'gadal'] magnify himself above every god, and he will speak monstrous things against the God of gods. He will be successful until the time of wrath is completed, for what has been decreed must be accomplished.
[Compare H1431’s gadal in ‘magnifying himself’ with the same word, 'gadal' in Daniel 8:11’s ‘exalted himself’ and cuts off the ‘daily’.]
37 He will show no regard for the gods of his fathers, nor for the one desired by women, nor for any other god, because he will magnify himself above them all.
38 And in their place, he will [H3513] honor a god of [H4581 Maoz] fortresses—a god his fathers did not know he will honor with gold, silver, precious stones, and riches.
We know who this 'god of fortresses' is: it is the ruler of Tyre. And we know that he is 'worshiping' this god of fortresses - the word for 'honor' is the same context of worshiping God as in Lev 10:3.

[H3513 Kabad: honor or glorify
Lev 10:3 Then Moses said to Aaron, “This is what the LORD has said: ‘Among those who are near me I will be sanctified, and before all the people I will be glorified [H3513].’” And Aaron held his peace.

Here is the same word for fortress, the Hebrew word 'maoz', used in the context of Tyre:
[H4581 Maoz: place of safety or protection, a fortress
Isa 23:6 Cross over to Tarshish; wail, O inhabitants of the coast! 7 Is this your exultant city whose origin is from days of old, whose feet carried her to settle far away? 8 Who has purposed this against Tyre, the bestower of crowns, whose merchants were princes, whose traders were the honored of the earth? 9 The Lord of hosts has purposed it, to defile the pompous pride of all glory, to dishonor all the honored of the earth. 10 Cross over your land like the Nile, O daughter of Tarshish; there is no restraint anymore. 11 He has stretched out his hand over the sea; he has shaken the kingdoms; the Lord has given command concerning Canaan to destroy its [H3513 Maoz] strongholds.
Here are other words for 'fortresses' used in conjunction with Tyre - who calls himself a god:

Ezekiel 28: 2 “Son of man, say to the prince of Tyre, Thus says the Lord God: “Because your heart is proud, and you have said, ‘I am a god, I sit in the seat of the gods, in the heart of the seas,’ yet you are but a man, and no god, though you make your heart like the heart of a god—
2 Samuel 24:7 They went toward the [H4013 mibtsar: fortification] fortress of Tyre and all the cities of the Hivites and Canaanites. Finally, they went on to the Negev of Judah, to Beersheba.
Zech 9:3 Tyre has built herself a [H4692 matsor: siege enclosure] fortress; she has heaped up silver like dust, and gold like the dirt of the streets.

First, the Assyrian (the last False Prophet) worships himself, then 1290 days later he forces people to worship Tyre as a god. The ruler of Tyre 'calls himself God' in Ezek 28:2. The Assyrian 'magnifies himself' and also worships a foreign god - the ruler of Tyre. This is Satan pretending to worship a 'good guy' as in fulfillment of Rev 3:9 Behold, I will make those of the synagogue of Satan who say that they are Jews and are not, but lie—behold, I will make them come and bow down before your feet, and they will learn that I have loved you.

Again, the Assyrian is a separate person from the person of Tyre, as shown here in Psalm 83

5 For with one mind they plot together, they form an alliance against You— 6 the tents of Edom and the Ishmaelites, of Moab and the Hagrites, 7 of Gebal, Ammon, and Amalek, of Philistia with the people of Tyre. 8 Even Assyria has joined them, lending strength to the sons of Lot.

(The sons of Lot are Moab and Ammon.)

Finally, Tyre is the (final) little horn of Dan 8:21 The shaggy goat represents the king of Javan, and the large horn between his eyes is the first king. 22 The four horns that replaced the broken one represent four kingdoms that will rise from that nation, but will not have the same power.

These 4 'horns' are the sons of Javan:
Genesis 10:4 The sons of Javan: Elishah, Tarshish, Kittim, and Dodanim.

And Tyre is the 'daughter of Tarshish' from Isa 23:6-10 above.

In summary, at the start of the 1290 days of the abomination, the 'daily is cut off' - this is the event of the Assyrian (who is the first Dan 8 Little Horn) 'magnifying himself' and starting the 'rebellion'/ 'apostasy' that is in conjunction with the 'locusts' of the 5th Trumpet who are said to 'cut off the grain & drink offerings' in Joel 1:4-9. At the end of the 'great tribulation' of the 6th Trumpet (the 30 days where the Assyrian is worshiping himself in the holy place), then the Daniel 7 Little Horn arises (who is the ruler of Tyre) (who is the final Daniel 8 Little Horn in Dan 8:23 who appears at the latter end of the transgressors' reign) and will confirm the covenant. Tyre is called a 'cherubim' in Ezek 28:14. This is the 'mighty angel' of Revelation 10 who confirms the covenant.

1260 days later at the 7th Trumpet, the ruler of Tyre (the Dan 7 Little Horn, the king that arises at the latter reign of the Assyrian's transgression in Daniel 8:23) breaks the covenant and calls himself God. The Assyrian who had first started the apostasy/ rebellion now becomes the false Prophet to the ruler of Tyre (the 'antichrist').

In other words, the Assyrian is the 1st antichrist at the start of the 1290 days and the ruler of Tyre is the 2nd antichrist at the end of the 1290 days. The Assyrian who was the first antichrist becomes the False Prophet to the ruler of Tyre, the 2nd antichrist.

No, there is only one abomination of desolation in Daniel 12:11 setup. The abomination of desolation in Daniel 12:11 is "set up ". Go from there. What will be "set up" ?

11 And from the time that the daily sacrifice shall be taken away, and the abomination that maketh desolate set up, there shall be a thousand two hundred and ninety days.

Since the abomination of desolation setup was prefigured by Antiochus IV's placing a statue image of Zeus in the temple - the end times abomination of desolation will be a statue image of the beast king. The statue image will be of him in the standing position because of what Jesus said in Matthew 24:15.

When ye therefore shall see the abomination of desolation, spoken of by Daniel the prophet, stand in the holy place, (whoso readeth, let him understand: )

tranquil, Daniel 12:11 is about the abomination of desolation "setup".

There are three arch-evil persons of the end times. All three will be on the temple mount when Jesus returns to meet their end.

1. the beast-king (formerly, the little horn, prince who shall come, Antichrist, the revealed man of sin)
2. the false prophet
3. Satan who will be indwelling the abomination of desolation standing statue image of the beast king.

Ezekiel 28 indicates that the king of Tyre is to be a Jew.
”Behold I will bring strangers against you”, “You shall die the death of the uncircumcised “.

Hi One God,

Just to be clear, when looking at the Old Testament prophecies, I don't necessarily hold to a strict nationality interpretation because the notion of 'Israel' was expanded to include Gentiles within the Christian sense. So when it says, 'Assyrian' or Tyre (Lebanon), I don't necessarily think it is talking about those nationalities.

But you bring up a good point with the circumcision issue - which is to say, there does seem to be some expectation within the passage that there has been a betrayal of God. Is it specifically a Jewish reference? I'm not sure I would go that far (the concept of 'circumcision' was spiritualized by Paul as I recall.)

Imo, this relates to the fact that Mystery Babylon is clothed in purple in the context of being married (she should have been the bride of Christ but is not).

Amos 1
9Thus says the Lord:
“For three transgressions of Tyre,
and for four, I will not revoke the punishment,
because they delivered up a whole people to Edom,
and did not remember the covenant of brotherhood.
10So I will send a fire upon the wall of Tyre,
and it shall devour her strongholds.”
The covenant of brotherhood refers to between Hiram, king of Tyre, and Solomon. Hiram built the temple for Solomon - in the future, the new ruler of Tyre will help build the temple (what manner of temple, I am not dogmatic about - but probably Ezekiel's temple).

Let’s continue on and look at this same idea in Isaiah:

Isa 8:5 And the LORD spoke to me further: 6 “Because this people has rejected the gently flowing waters of Shiloah and rejoiced in Rezin and the son of Remaliah, 7 the Lord will surely bring against them the mighty floodwaters of the Euphrates— the king of Assyria and all his pomp. It will overflow its channels and overrun its banks. 8 It will pour into Judah, swirling and sweeping over it, reaching up to the neck; its spreading streams will cover your entire land, O Immanuel!

The ‘flood’ imagery associated with the Assyrian is also used here in Dan 11:

21 In his place a despicable person will arise; royal honors will not be given to him, but he will come in a time of peace and seize the kingdom by intrigue. 22 Then a flood of forces will be swept away before him and destroyed, along with a prince of the covenant.
40 At the time of the end, the king of the South will engage him in battle, but the king of the North will storm out against him with chariots, horsemen, and many ships, invading many countries and sweeping through them like a flood.

This connects with the ‘five months’ of the ‘locusts’ in the 5th Trumpet (Rev 9:5). In the Noahic flood (‘as in the days of Noah’), the literal flood lasted for 150 days (aka five months) from Gen 7:24 The waters flooded the earth for a hundred and fifty days. (The ‘locusts’ being the ‘people of the prince to come that destroy the city and sanctuary’ from Daniel 9:26.

Assyria comes through Samaria (capital of the ten apostate, northern tribes of Israel) and destroys its idols. Then it arrives at Jerusalem.

Isa 10:5 Woe to Assyria, the rod of My anger; the staff in their hands is My wrath. 6 I will send him against a godless nation; I will dispatch him against a people destined for My rage, to take spoils and seize plunder, and to trample them down like clay in the streets. 7 But this is not his intention; this is not his plan. For it is in his heart to destroy and cut off many nations. 8 “Are not all my commanders kings?” he says. 9 “Is not Calno like Carchemish? Is not Hamath like Arpad? Is not Samaria like Damascus? 10 As my hand seized the idolatrous kingdoms whose images surpassed those of Jerusalem and Samaria, 11 and as I have done to Samaria and its idols, will I not also do to Jerusalem and her idols?” 12 So when the Lord has completed all His work against Mount Zion and Jerusalem, He will say, “I will punish the king of Assyria for the fruit of his arrogant heart and the proud look in his eyes. 13 For he says: ‘By the strength of my hand I have done this, and by my wisdom, for I am clever. I have removed the boundaries of nations and plundered their treasures; like a mighty one I subdued their rulers. 14 My hand reached as into a nest to seize the wealth of the nations. Like one gathering abandoned eggs, I gathered all the earth. No wing fluttered, no beak opened or chirped.’ ”

Pay attention to how the ‘Branch’ is associated with the ‘shoot springing up from the root of Jesse’. In the Psalm passage below, you can see that the ‘descendant of David’ is equated with a ‘horn to sprout’ that is given a crown. All of these have the same idea going on: the ‘little horn’ mentioned in Daniel 7 and 8 is a reference to this person who will heal the civil war and plunder the enemies of Israel.

Isa 11:1 Then a shoot will spring up from the stump of Jesse, and a Branch from his roots will bear fruit. 2 The Spirit of the LORD will rest on Him— the Spirit of wisdom and understanding, the Spirit of counsel and strength, the Spirit of knowledge and fear of the LORD.

Psalm 132:10 For the sake of Your servant David, do not reject Your anointed one. 11 The LORD swore an oath to David, a promise He will not revoke: “One of your descendants I will place on your throne. 12 If your sons keep My covenant and the testimony I will teach them, then their sons will also sit on your throne forever and ever.”
[The Revelation 10 ‘mighty angel’ (who is the ruler of Tyre, the ‘guardian cherub’ of Ezek 28:14) is ‘swearing an oath to heaven, earth, and the sea’ (‘confirming the covenant’ which then God will place the ‘horn’ on the throne of David)].
17 There I will make a horn to sprout for David; I have prepared a lamp for my anointed. 18 I will clothe his enemies with shame, but the crown upon him will gleam.”

This ‘little horn’ that has sprouted will heal the civil war between Ephraim (northern Israel) and Judah. The ‘scattered of Judah’ are gathered (not whisked away in a rapture). The exiles of Israel are gathered (not whisked away in a rapture). After being united (as in the 2 sticks prophecy from Ezek 37 below), they plunder the Philistines and the sons of the East together. Also, this little horn will plunder Edom, Moab, and the Ammonites (remember the 10-horn coalition from Psalm 83:5 For with one mind they plot together, they form an alliance against You— 6 the tents of Edom and the Ishmaelites, of Moab and the Hagrites, 7 of Gebal, Ammon, and Amalek, of Philistia with the people of Tyre. 8 Even Assyria has joined them, lending strength to the sons of Lot). (The sons of Lot are Moab and Ammon.). These are the ‘3 horns that fall’ from Daniel 7:

Dan 7:19 Then I wanted to know the true meaning of the fourth beast, which was different from all the others—extremely terrifying—devouring and crushing with iron teeth and bronze claws, then trampling underfoot whatever was left. 20 I also wanted to know about the ten horns on its head and the other horn that came up, before which three of them fell—the horn whose appearance was more imposing than the others, with eyes and with a mouth that spoke words of arrogance. 21 As I watched, this horn was waging war against the saints and prevailing against them, 22until the Ancient of Days arrived and pronounced judgment in favor of the saints of the Most High, and the time came for them to possess the kingdom.

Back to Isaiah 11 which illustrates the horn taking over the 3 horns:

Isa 11:10 On that day the Root of Jesse will stand as a banner for the peoples. The nations will seek Him, and His place of rest will be glorious. 11 On that day the Lord will extend His hand a second time to recover the remnant of His people from Assyria, from Egypt, from Pathros, from Cush, from Elam, from Shinar, from Hamath, and from the islands of the sea. 12 He will raise a banner for the nations and gather the exiles of Israel; He will collect the scattered of Judah from the four corners of the earth. 13 Then the jealousy of Ephraim will depart, and the adversaries of Judah will be cut off. Ephraim will no longer envy Judah, nor will Judah harass Ephraim. 14 They will swoop down on the slopes of the Philistines to the west; together they will plunder the sons of the east. They will lay their hands on Edom and Moab, and the Ammonites will be subject to them.

Ezekiel 37:15 The word of the Lord came to me: 16 “Son of man, take a stick and write on it, ‘For Judah, and the people of Israel associated with him’; then take another stick and write on it, ‘For Joseph (the stick of Ephraim) and all the house of Israel associated with him.’ 17 And join them one to another into one stick, that they may become one in your hand. 18 And when your people say to you, ‘Will you not tell us what you mean by these?’ 19 say to them, Thus says the Lord God: Behold, I am about to take the stick of Joseph (that is in the hand of Ephraim) and the tribes of Israel associated with him. And I will join with it the stick of Judah, and make them one stick, that they may be one in my hand. 20 When the sticks on which you write are in your hand before their eyes, 21 then say to them, Thus says the Lord God: Behold, I will take the people of Israel from the nations among which they have gone, and will gather them from all around, and bring them to their own land. 22 And I will make them one nation in the land, on the mountains of Israel. And one king shall be king over them all, and they shall be no longer two nations, and no longer divided into two kingdoms. 23 They shall not defile themselves anymore with their idols and their detestable things, or with any of their transgressions. But I will save them from all the backslidings in which they have sinned, and will cleanse them; and they shall be my people, and I will be their God.
24 “My servant David shall be king over them, and they shall all have one shepherd. They shall walk in my rules and be careful to obey my statutes. 25 They shall dwell in the land that I gave to my servant Jacob, where your fathers lived. They and their children and their children’s children shall dwell there forever, and David my servant shall be their prince forever. 26 I will make a covenant of peace with them. It shall be an everlasting covenant with them. And I will set them in their land and multiply them, and will set my sanctuary in their midst forevermore. 27 My dwelling place shall be with them, and I will be their God, and they shall be my people. 28 Then the nations will know that I am the Lord who sanctifies Israel, when my sanctuary is in their midst forevermore.”

From the Ezekiel passage above, we can see that the ‘horn’, the king ‘David’ will make the covenant of peace. This is the covenant of Daniel 9:27. When he breaks it, then God will punish them (at the 7th Trumpet) – that is how that Israel will know that God is watching and the rebels will be purged from the land.

Hosea 1:10 Yet the number of the Israelites will be like the sand of the sea, which cannot be measured or counted. And it will happen that in the very place where it was said to them, ‘You are not My people,’ they will be called ‘sons of the living God.’ 11 Then the people of Judah and of Israel will be gathered together, and they will appoint for themselves one leader, and will go up out of the land. For great will be the day of Jezreel.

Continuing on with Isaiah 14, this king of Babylon is the ruler of Tyre, the ‘god of fortresses’, the Daniel 7 Little Horn, and the Daniel 8 Little Horn that arises in the latter days of the kingdom of the transgressors (i.e. after the first abomination has taken place). Note the reference to ‘day star’ in verse 12. (Remember that ‘stars’ can symbolize ‘angels’ as in Revelation 1:20). The ‘day star’ here is often translated as ‘Lucifer’.

Isa 14:3 On the day that the LORD gives you rest from your pain and torment, and from the hard labor into which you were forced, 4 you will sing this song of contempt against the king of Babylon: How the oppressor has ceased, and how his fury has ended! 5 The LORD has broken the staff of the wicked, the scepter of the rulers. 6 It struck the peoples in anger with unceasing blows; it subdued the nations in rage with relentless persecution. 7 All the earth is at peace and at rest; they break out in song. 8 Even the cypresses and cedars of Lebanon exult over you: “Since you have been laid low, no woodcutter comes against us.” 9 Sheol beneath is eager to meet you upon your arrival. It stirs the spirits of the dead to greet you— all the rulers of the earth. It makes all the kings of the nations rise from their thrones. 10 They will all respond to you, saying, “You too have become weak, as we are; you have become like us!” 11 Your pomp has been brought down to Sheol, along with the music of your harps. Maggots are your bed and worms your blanket.
12 How you have fallen from heaven, O day star, son of the dawn! You have been cut down to the ground, O destroyer of nations. 13 You said in your heart: “I will ascend to the heavens; I will raise my throne above the stars of God. I will sit on the mount of assembly, in the far reaches of the north. 14 I will ascend above the tops of the clouds; I will make myself like the Most High.” 15 But you will be brought down to Sheol, to the lowest depths of the Pit. 16 Those who see you will stare; they will ponder your fate: “Is this the man who shook the earth and made the kingdoms tremble, 17 who turned the world into a desert and destroyed its cities, who refused to let the captives return to their homes?” 18 All the kings of the nations lie in state, each in his own tomb.

In this next verse, the king of Babylon is called the ‘abominable branch’ who is ‘cast out of his grave’. Presumably, this is where the ruler of Tyre, king of Babylon gets his ‘mortal head wound’ (Rev 13:3) and is ‘resurrected’ (at the 7th Trumpet). So as you recall, the ‘branch’ was mentioned in Isaiah 11:1 and is now called ‘an abominable branch’ three chapters later.

Isa 14:19 But you are cast out of your grave like an abominable branch, covered by those slain with the sword, and dumped into a rocky pit like a carcass trampled underfoot. 20 You will not join them in burial, since you have destroyed your land and slaughtered your own people. The offspring of the wicked will never again be mentioned.
21 Prepare a place to slaughter his sons for the iniquities of their forefathers. They will never rise up to possess a land or cover the earth with their cities. 22 “I will rise up against them,” declares the LORD of Hosts. “I will cut off from Babylon her name and her remnant, her offspring and her posterity,” declares the LORD. 23 “I will make her a place for owls and for swamplands; I will sweep her away with the broom of destruction,” declares the LORD of Hosts. 24 The LORD of Hosts has sworn: “Surely, as I have planned, so will it be; as I have purposed, so will it stand.
25 I will break Assyria in My land; I will trample him on My mountain. His yoke will be taken off My people, and his burden removed from their shoulders.” 26 This is the plan devised for the whole earth, and this is the hand stretched out over all the nations. 27 The LORD of Hosts has purposed, and who can thwart Him? His hand is outstretched, so who can turn it back? 28 In the year that King Ahaz died, this burden was received: 29 Do not rejoice, all you Philistines, that the rod that struck you is broken. For a viper will spring from the root of the snake, and a flying serpent from its egg. 30 Then the firstborn of the poor will find pasture, and the needy will lie down in safety, but I will kill your root by famine, and your remnant will be slain. 31 Wail, O gate! Cry out, O city! Melt away, all you Philistines! For a cloud of smoke comes from the north, and there are no stragglers in its ranks. 32 What answer will be given to the envoys of that nation? “The LORD has founded Zion, where His afflicted people will find refuge.”
The founding of Zion occurs at the 7th Trumpet (Rev 11:15).

Matt 24:15 is the first abomination, the 'transgression' from Dan 8:11-12.

9From one of these horns a little horn emerged and grew extensively toward the south and the east and toward the Beautiful Land. 10It grew as high as the host of heaven, and it cast down some of the host and some of the stars to the earth, and trampled them.
11 It magnified itself, even to the Prince of the host; it removed His daily sacrifice and overthrew the place of His sanctuary. 12And in the rebellion, the host and the daily sacrifice were given over to the horn, and it flung truth to the ground and prospered in whatever it did.

The insolent king that arises AFTER this transgression is the ruler of Tyre. The 'rebellion'/ 'transgression' has already started!

23 In the latter part of their reign, when the rebellion has reached its full measure, an insolent king, skilled in intrigue, will come to the throne. 24His power will be great, but it will not be his own. He will cause terrible destruction and succeed in whatever he does. He will destroy the mighty men along with the holy people. 25Through his craft and by his hand, he will cause deceit to prosper, and in his own mind he will make himself great. In a time of peace he will destroy many, and he will even stand against the Prince of princes. Yet he will be broken off, but not by human hands.

That ruler that arises is what people consider to be the 'antichrist'. The 'insolent king' arises AFTER the rebellion/ transgression has already happened!

tranquil, Daniel 12:11 is about the abomination of desolation "setup".

Have you ever wondered why there is no term, 'Antichrist', whatsoever, to be found in Revelation?

There is no 'Antichrist' in Revelation - that is because it is not as simple as you want it to be.

The rider on the white horse in the first seal given a crown is the Antichrist. Given a crown means that he will be anointed the King of Israel, thought to be messiah by the Jews.

@tranquil

When you started your timeline chart, you should have used the 7 years as the base chart. Then start working the timeframes into it.

Your chart does not begin with the day 1 confirmation of the covenant of Daniel 9:27 for 7 years.

I think the little horn of Daniel 8 is the Assyrian and not to be confused with the little horn of Daniel 7 which is the Antichrist and spoken of as the king of Tyre.

First off, you conflate everything brother (or sister, I don't know) You do not keep it simple, you overcomplicate that which is not that hard to grasp. Th first part of Dann. 8 is a "vision" the second part is Gabriel whom Jesus pre incarnate tells to explain "THE VISION" he had just seen. Its not complicated really that my friend.

Dann. 8:15 And it came to pass, when I, even I Daniel, had seen the vision, and sought for the meaning, then, behold, there stood before me as the appearance of a man. 16 And I heard a man's voice between the banks of Ulai, which called, and said, Gabriel, make this man to understand the vision.

17 So he came near where I stood: and when he came, I was afraid, and fell upon my face: but he said unto me, Understand, O son of man: for at the time of the end shall be the vision. 18 Now as he was speaking with me, I was in a deep sleep on my face toward the ground: but he touched me, and set me upright. {{{ Why is this so hard for people to digest? Its the END TIME !! The first part was THE VISION and it was about the END TIMES. Everything else you do it thus based off a wrong turn my friend.

The Assyrian is the Man of Sin/A.C./Beast/Little Horn et al. He is not the False Prophet who is the 1290, the Assyrian/Beast/A.C./Little Horn only comes 30 days later as the Conqueror who conquers Israel.

Ask yourself a question my friend, why would Jesus (pre incarnate) tell Gabriel about a MEAT SACRIFICE which when it is TAKEN AWAY causes an Abomination unto the temple, WHEN........That very meat sacrifice would be in and of itself an Abomination? Its not just you who cant see this, believe me, its 99 percent pr more, they really all believe that the A.C. (who is not even on the scene at the 1290, he only comes on the scene as a conqueror 30 days later) Little Horn/Beast takes away or forbids a Meat Sacrifice when it is the False Prophet that does this and its not a "MEAT SACRIFCE, its Jesus that get the heave ho. Elijah is sent back before the DOTL, which is the 1260, to get Israel to repent, they are the 1335, which happens 75 days before the 1260, so Israel REPENTS, and before the Flee Judea at the 1290 they NATURALLY start worshiping their Messiah now !!! Of course, and they want to do so in the temple of their God, of course. So, for 45 days they worship Jesus in the temple, then the False Prophet Jewish High Priest in the mold of Jason under Antiochus (real name Yeshua) does the exact same thing Jason did, he welcomed Antiochus into the temple to sacrifice a pig unto Zeus and mandated that all Jews be Hellenized (take on the Greek Culture and worship the Greek's gods). The Abomination can only come when the temple is cleansed, and that can not happen unto Israel repents.

Everything from Dann. 8:9 on is about The A.C./Little Horn/Beast of the END TIMES. Do not overthink it, that has been my calling for nigh 40 years. Keep it simple.

Dann. 11:31 was an Abomination about Antiochus Epiphanes time. Dann. 11:36-45 is about the future Abominations of the A.C./Beast/Little Horn.

I think the little horn of Daniel 8 is the Assyrian and not to be confused with the little horn of Daniel 7 which is the Antichrist and spoken of as the king of Tyre.
Yes, the first little horn in Daniel 8 is the Assyrian. Yes, the Daniel 7 Little Horn is the king of Tyre. The Daniel 7 Little Horn is the second king mentioned in Daniel 8.

23In the latter part of their reign, when the rebellion has reached its full measure, an insolent king, skilled in intrigue, will come to the throne.
How do we know that this 'insolent king' is the second king? Because the 'rebellion' (sometimes translated as 'transgression') has already started. It was started by the first Daniel 8 Little Horn (the Assyrian). Thus the second king (the insolent king of Dan 8:23) is not the same one mentioned at the beginning in Daniel 8:9-12

This is the first Daniel 8 Little Horn (the Assyrian):

9From one of these horns a little horn emerged and grew extensively toward the south and the east and toward the Beautiful Land. 10It grew as high as the host of heaven, and it cast down some of the host and some of the stars to the earth, and trampled them. 11It magnified itself, even to the Prince of the host; it removed His daily sacrifice and overthrew the place of His sanctuary. 12 And in the rebellion, the host and the daily sacrifice were given over to the horn, and it flung truth to the ground and prospered in whatever it did.
This starts the 1290 days of Daniel 12:11..

Then the Daniel 7 Little Horn (king of Tyre) comes to power - he is the 'insolent king' of Daniel 8:23 arising after the Daniel 8 Little Horn (the Assyrian) has cut off the 'daily' sacrifices.

23In the latter part of their reign, when the rebellion has reached its full measure, an insolent king, skilled in intrigue, will come to the throne.

Hope that made sense.

Dan 11: 36Then the king will do as he pleases and will exalt and magnify himself above every god, and he will speak monstrous things against the God of gods. He will be successful until the time of wrath is completed, for what has been decreed must be accomplished. 37He will show no regard for the gods of his fathers, nor for the one desired by women, nor for any other god, because he will magnify himself above them all.
38And in their place, he will honor a god of fortresses—a god his fathers did not know—with gold, silver, precious stones, and riches. 39He will attack the strongest fortresses with the help of a foreign god and will greatly honor those who acknowledge him, making them rulers over many and distributing the land for a price.
The Dan 11:36 king is the Assyrian. You call him the 'antichrist', but the 'antichrist' role does not worship other gods - it is the False Prophet that worships the beast from the sea with the mortal head wound (aka the 'antichrist') that is in the role of worshiping someone else.

The Assyrian is worshiping this 'god of fortresses' in Dan 11:38.

The 'foreign god' and the 'god of fortresses' is the ruler of Tyre as I have already shown with scripture.

The Assyrian is worshiping this 'god of fortresses' in Dan 11:38.

The 'foreign god' and the 'god of fortresses' is the ruler of Tyre as I have already shown with scripture.
No, Daniel came after Assyria, this is about a future A.C./Beast, I will explain why he's Assyrian now. God ties all the Beasts together. Hes born in Greece (Dan. 8:9 mandates this) he arises to political power in the E.U. (Dan. 7:7-8 says so) and his bloodline is Assyrian (Iraqi/Turkish descent). Bloodlines move, a Turk or Iraqi family migrated to Greece in the last a few decades or so, or a 100 years or more ago, thus he will be born in Greece to fulfill the "DIRECTION" he conquers from, he conquers TOWARDS the East (Seleucus or Turkey) and TOWARDS the South (Egypt or Ptolemy) and TOWARDS Israel, just as Dann. 11:40-43 shows. Let me post the passage and explain every verse, its easier that way.

36 And the king shall do according to his will; and he shall exalt himself, and magnify himself above every god, and shall speak marvellous things against the God of gods, and shall prosper till the indignation be accomplished(God's Wrath has to END by the time he stops ruling): for that that is determined shall be done. 37 Neither shall he regard the God of his fathers, nor [regard] the desire of women, nor regard any god: for he shall magnify himself above all.

{{{ Notice how the God of gods is capitalized? That means God Almighty, the real God of all creation. His father somewhere down the line was Noah who served God and maybe even Abraham. So, when it says he will not regard the God (capitalized) of his fathers, that means the one true God. The Desire of women simply means he will not [REGARD] their desires, put simply, he will not partake in advice from any woman, period. Last it says exactly what you say verse 38 proves, that this man serves a god, but vs. 37 says he will regard no god. So what gives? Its speaking about the normal gods like Jupiter, Zeus etc. etc. not Satan himself, this man will serve Satan, that is why he hears dark sentences or riddles. Remember, Rev. 13 and 8 both say Satan gives him his Seat of Power. But on earth, he magnifies himself, this may very well mean, I think it does tbh, that Satan indwells him like he did Judas. Then Satan will rule through this man, notice The Dragon chases the Woman (Israel) for 1260 days and the Beast (A.C.) rules for 1260 days. When God's wrath falls at the 1260, Satan is cast down to earth, thus he is the ultimate god of the spirit world (besides God) he will be possessed by Satan. Its a play on words but you have to read between the lines, Satan when he indwells a man will not worship Zeus, nor Jupiter et al, because Satan was Zeus in all reality. He was Baal, he was Jupiter. }}}

38 But in his estate shall he honour the God of forces: and a god whom his fathers knew not shall he honour with gold, and silver, and with precious stones, and pleasant things. 39 Thus shall he do in the most strong holds with a strange god, whom he shall acknowledge and increase with glory: and he shall cause them to rule over many, and shall divide the land for gain.

{{{ Basically, Satan has possessed this man, now Satan is bent on killing all the Jews hence he chases them in Rev. 12 for 42 months via the A.C./Beasts body, all this mans estate (Office/E.U. President) is thinking about is killing Jews and fighting wars. He spends his monies on that. Never allow contradictory verses to cause you to go down wrong paths, work it out. }}}

40 And at the time of the end shall the king of the south push at him: and the king of the north shall come against him like a whirlwind, with chariots, and with horsemen, and with many ships; and he(The KOTN is the Anti-Christ/Beast/Little Horn of Dann. 7 & 8) shall enter into the countries (PLURAL as in many), and shall overflow and pass over.

{{( He has to conquer Turkey (Dann. 8:9 mandate) to get at Israel, he also goes through Lebanon, Syria and Jordan, and then enters into the Glorious land (Israel) as shown below. }}}

41 He shall enter also into the glorious land, and many countries shall be overthrown:(Very, very important, the MANY in Dan. 8L25 and Dan. 9:27 is now understood as MANY NATIONS besides Israel) but these shall escape out of his hand, even Edom, and Moab, and the chief of the children of Ammon.

{{{ So, this end time Beast/A.C. conquers Turkey to the East, Israel, and Egypt to the South (Below) but he can not conquer (GET THIS !!! Its a tell) Edom, Ammon or Moab, which all just so happen to be in the Petra and Bozrah region of Central and Southern Jordan, where Israel flees unto and God protects her for 42 months !! Hmmmm !! This is just not a coincidence my friend. Google European Neighborhood Policy map. When the E.U. conquers every nation on the Mediterranean Sea Coastline, that kingdom on a map will look just like Rome circa AD 117.}}}

E.U. will conquer conquer everything in orange, & Turkey now we have Rome's "Baby".

42 He shall stretch forth his hand also upon the countries: and the land of Egypt shall not escape. 43 But he shall have power over the treasures of gold and of silver, and over all the precious things of Egypt: and the Libyans and the Ethiopians shall be at his steps.

{{{ The Anti-Christ/Beast will conquer Israel, Lebanon, Syria, Jordan, Egypt and all of North Africa. }}}

44 But tidings out of the east and out of the north shall trouble him: therefore he shall go forth with great fury to destroy, and utterly to make away many.

{{{ This man never conquers the whole world, he conquers the whole earth/LAND being spoken about, and every Beast came out of the [Mediterranean] Great Sea [Region]. So, this man gets a smidge of push back from two nuclear powers, China and Russia. Apophis the asteroid will hit the USA and the New World is burned up, see the 1/3 of trees burning. }}}

45 And he shall plant the tabernacles of his palace between the seas in the glorious holy mountain; yet he shall come to his end, and none shall help him.

{{{ Jesus will slay this Beast by the presence of His coming, Amen. }}}
