You said in the post I replied to you did not want to debate.I see what you're saying, but again, this is a matter of opinion.
Don't stop short.Yeah maybe the story of the one caught in the act of adultery would be good too where Jesus says those wanting to condemn her, "He that is without sin let him cast the first stone!"
This isn't truth. Not in line with His Word. However, God speaks to us all as the individuals that we are, therefore we are all going to have different convictions.
Honestly, it looks like you don't want to know.Just now saw this. In what way or ways did my post look "off" to you? Just tell me, and I will answer to the best of my ability.
Sorry?? His tracts are immersed in Christ's love and Scripture !
He did what others were afraid to do - speak out against blatant sin.
As written "open rebuke is better than hidden love".
Yeah, sure....that should be a part of it as well.Don't stop short.
What did Jesus tell her (and His disciples) ?
....... sin no more .....
au contrare - when I saw those tracts, exposing the devil, it was wonderful and simple and put ol' slew in his place.... let people know that they can laugh at him as God laughs at him,Okay. I am forever grateful that God used Jack Chick and he has helped to lead me and many others to the Lord, and I do believe he did a great job with “This Was Your Life” and other tracts, but I feel he did not have to portray demons and the devil laughing, etc. We are to avoid evil communications. I remember a pastor doing a series of sermons focused on the devil. It was as if he was giving glory to the enemy instead of God. Granted, I am not saying we should never mention the devil, but to give too much attention to him when God should be more of our focus in life is wrong in my view. We are to focus and think on that which is good.
I think that he goers way overboard, and tries to hit people over the head, using his tracks as a big hammer!Discuss your grievances with Jack Chick's eponymous tracts here, instead of my Graphic Tracts thread.
For twice or thrice you saying you didn't want to debate, your posts show totally otherwise.Yes, I do. I am willing to try my best to clear up what I am trying to get at for you. But I am not sure this is the thread for it.
Please feel free to message me about this, and I'll answer as I can. I want us to be able to come to an understanding and get along as fellow believers.
hammer? no.I think that he goers way overboard, and tries to hit people over the head, using his tracks as a big hammer!
Its not so much the facts, but the way it was presented!
It was through a Chick tract that I recommitted my life to Christ Jesus way back in the 80's. His tracts have been used by God to bring many sons to glory; however...??!Discuss your grievances with Jack Chick's eponymous tracts here, instead of my Graphic Tracts thread.
2018 will go down as the year Demonhunter made me cryI see what you're saying, but again, this is a matter of opinion. Romans 14 speaks of doubtful disputations (no, I am not talking about things that are clearly sinful according to the Bible) and that nothing is unclean in and of itself. The issue with the Bible versions is that while there are some translations to watch out for, there is documentation that even the King James translators themselves encouraged the use of other translations. As for the music issue, I disagree on that too. I like all kinds of music, and I don't think there is anything wrong with a non-Christian song that has wholesome messages. I do have standards and a line I draw regarding the music I listen to. This is the same with movies, TV shows, and books. If you disagree, fine, but please do so respectfully and don't write me off as "less spiritual" just because of of different convictions.
Here is a commentary that explains the music issue better than I can. I pretty much share the sentiments of the writer here.
Musings on Church Music
This part of the blog touches specifically on the issue of secular music.
Should Christians listen to "Secular" music?
As I said before, I wish not to debate.
For twice or thrice you saying you didn't want to debate, your posts show totally otherwise.
I posted what is needed in my FIRST REPLY. That is all you need to find the truth if you want.
If you want to debate, that's another story. I don't think it would help . I don't want to hear again what you are trying to get at - I already know as you posted it. Thanks tho.
