This short video really breaks down what it happening in this country. It is from a self proclaimed feminist liberal. I consider myself to be a conservative and I agree with much of what she says here.

Thoughts and comments on what she says here are welcome.

In my opinion, one person cannot be a "feminist" and agree with the entire transgender movement.

Case in point.. You cannot be a strong believer in the rights of women, women sports, women in the workplace, .... and then accept that a man can simply state that he "feels" like a woman... and walk in to a women's sport and break all the records.

How rude and dissrespectful for a man to simply "feel" like he's a woman and thus nullify all the progress that women, fighting for their rights have made.

It was nice to see the coach of a women's weight lifting team go into a competition and smash the new bench press record by 100 lbs.

He did this as the record lift that he beat... was set by a man who felt that he was a woman...

Who complained? The transgender female, who was actually a biological man.. complained that a man broke his record.

I full well beleive that men and women are different. We need each other. I believe in equal work... gets equal pay. I believe men are better at some things and women are better at others.

I don't think men and women can do without each other.

I cannot understand why the womens rights and feminist movement is not (edit) sceaming "foul" at the top of their lungs over this who thing.

The historical observation that this type of phenomenon has happened multiple times before a culture met its demise should give us pause to reflect. But it seems we are in an all out promotional and normalization phase of the transgender movement. The most disturbing part is what is being promoted to and done to our children. Camille Paglia in the video says this is child abuse. I totally agree!

The question that came up in my mind after listening to the video is whether a culture can turn around once one starts to see the signs of androgyny that she talks about.

I have to believe it can but historically it usually doesn’t.

I think you mean you can't understand why they are NOT screaming foul at this whole thing. But that's an easy answer. Feminism and Transgenderism both come from the same side of the aisle.

I don't know where to post this as you don't have a gay/homosexual area. This is sorely needed because a lot of people out there need help on this. I was thinking about forgiveness. Its been well established that sexual abuse is often a trigger for homosexuality of both sexes. When people can't get over something usually a lack of forgiveness is involved. Now I'm not trying to rationalize the abuse of course. Let's get that very clear. They were wronged, no question, through no fault of their own. But without forgiveness often we can't move forward and we get stuck in this quagmire of resentment, anger and even retaliation which gets us nowhere. It struck me that a lot of homosexuals I've met in my life often seem to have a resentful attitude which usually indicates a proclivity to not forgive people easily. Its not overt of course. But its something that often comes out in conversation after you have earned their conversational trust. So I was wondering if others have noticed this trait in homosexuals. It could be that the most important road back to a healthy sexuality is forgiveness yet this seems to be very rarely discussed today by Christians hoping to help homosexuals see the light.

You raise a very important point. Generally speaking the home environment is a big factor in many issues in a person’s development as a member of society. Children cannot choose good loving parents many unfortunately are born into bad situations of which they have no control. IMO that is a far different issue that the problem we have in many schools today which are openly promoting homosexuality and transgenderism to our youth. The speaker in the video called it child abuse I agree totally. No true Christian should condemn these people for whom Christ died, but I am afraid “wokeness” has prevented many from actually defining the problem in a scriptural way. Just as being called a racist often shuts down debate, being called a homophobe has the same effect on many. We cannot ignore the scriptural stance on this issue and hope to solve the problem. Christ is forgiveness.

Yes Christ is forgiveness but many Christians who claim to be gay don't apply forgiveness to their past abuser(s). I believe forgiveness is a lot easier once one understands the possible motivators of the abuse which psychiatry could help hugely with. Understanding the why helps us forgive because then it starts to make a semblance of sense. Like most abusers were abused themselves. Or had very dysfunctional childhoods or suffered severe trauma they never recovered from. So many things can contribute to a few minutes of bad decisions.

One thing I notice whenever I hear the gay agenda talking: There is zero focus on their past, their is zero effort made to forgive, just a meaningless support system to keep each other afloat in their deranged view of sexuality. Pride? Pride of abuse? Pride of sexual dysfunction? Pride of a barren, childless existence? Pride of family alienation because they have higher moral standards and put God first before any person? That's not pride. That's warped values and very poor decision making. Its like we have a whole segment of society that is trying to bolster a dysfunctional way of life. They don't care about each other. They only care that their choice is never discussed, never challenged, never debated. Because as soon as they engage in discussion their points fall utterly flat.

God wants us to strive higher than mere Earthly values. Because that's the only way we have a real future in Heaven. Prioritizing. God really wants us to prioritize and that starts with His Son who showed us by example. Always the best way to teach.

Camille Paglia in the video stated this type of thing has happened at the end of many civilizations. Can we we discuss the elephant in the room and point out from a scriptural perspective what is really behind this movement. Will woke-ness even allow such a conversation? I’ll jump off of the ledge and ask does this relate to the reason God destroyed Sodom and Gomorrah? This is the Christian’s only thread I hope we can openly discuss scriptural matters.

What scriptures were you thinking of? This came to my mind. God let their heart be darkened, and as prosperous civilizations go on, they go deeper into darkness, I think. And the video talked about people seeing themselves as very sophisticated as they accept the growing androgyny.

I believe 1 Timothy 1 does apply as does the passage in Romans you pointed out. As to people seeing themselves as sophisticated just look at the catch phrase of the day "woke" . What does that say?

Hmm leaving Christ out of all this.. its all mute

But, of course!

That's wrong for the trans sect to go destroying the womens sports. Let them have a frankenstein class of their own where they all (transgenders) can compete. Leave the women alone.

It was women that first pointed to a God for me. I went to school and seen these things they call girls there. And they were sorta strange. They dress different and they act real weird sometimes but they smelled good. And it was almost like you can feel their spirit and that they are different. They vibrate at a different frequency than men.

I saw those things at a young age. They are magnetic to man. God saw Adam when He created him and knew right away, wow he should have a helpmeet. He should have a Wife. And it was very good! It is not good for man to be alone.

So I dunno what they are teaching kids in school nowadays but I think if I ever met a trans by accident of either flavor it would scare me just a little. I'd prolly have my hand on my weapon lol. Because that stuff is weird. It's simply insanity. Isn't there an inpatient program for those folks?

I prolly just made a bunch of people mad. Just my opinion. But hey, it used to be a capital offense to be homosexual!

Strange bedfellows you choose.

Camiglia Paglia is an atheist lesbian that openly mocks Christian morality.

I don’t disagree but I think you missed the point. I agree with her assessment that this current push to indoctrinate our children is child abuse.

My point is that her assessments of the world in general tends to be cruel and cynical, and lack the kind of ethos I associate with good rhetoric.

It's too difficult to say what is happening in popular culture regarding gender, in terms of broad generalization. Paglia's critique sounds like a moral panic, and she makes broad sweeping generalizations about history that seem unwarranted. While most Americans favor non-discrimination against trans people in terms of housing, employment, and access to public facilities, they don't necessarily believe that gender should be the result merely of self-identification. Only a very small minority think that way. Other countries in the western world have generally taken a similar attitude, and have gone with evidence-based care for transgender individuals, over ideology.

I don't think the Bible is as clear-cut as you claim in giving us those kinds of easy certainties or ethical mandates.

Like @2PhiloVoid , I believe in a more dialogical approach to the Scriptures. Our reading of the Bible must be confirmed in our experience of the world. If it doesn't lead us to exhibiting more of the fruits of the Spirit, of kindness and generosity towards our fellow human beings and towards the creation, then something is amiss.
