  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

I am seriously contemplating converting to Messianic Judaism from being well i dont know quite what i am, charasmatic non-denominational i guess...

ive been practicing kosher dieting... and judaism seems to make a bit more sense than christianity, and i understand it a bit more...

im just curious what exactly entails in the messanic jewish lifestyle etc versus christianity...

there is something about it, sitting through their services, that just gives me this sense that they have this very distinct connection with god.

i dont know what it was, but it gave me the chillies (in a good sense)

and i would like to know more about it

is it really black and white the differences, for example do messianic jews read the new testament? or do they usually stick to the old testament?

I would ask the rabbi at the messianic church that meets in my church building if i lived at home still, but yeah, its kinda hard when you live hours away from home to do so, especially without a car.

i dont know why ive had an interest in messianic judaism, and there is so much i would like to learn about it, so if any links or books you would recommend, i would greatly appreciate them :)
