However, the material world is part of what God wanted to save. He will save it by fire, but Christ came as a material human, died a material death, performed material miracles, and even rose in a material resurrection. Christ was not content to defeat half of sin's effect. His death was material and His resurrection was material so that He could defeat ALL of sin's effect, both material and spiritual.

YSM, go to space and then tell me what is there
You have Moses and the prophets -and John the Revelator, and if you do not believe them, why would you hear one who has been to space and returned, like the Prophet Enoch, the seventh from Adam?

Someone gave me a tip about posting youtube links to keep them from making the thread posts spread out past the page boundaries almost: when the link is "https", remove the "s", and the link will post, but it does not make the pages spread out like they are since you posted those without removing the "s" first.

I have met people who have been to space and returned.

I was there for the final flight into space of John Glenn.

The Apostles and Prophets do NOT teach Geocentrism. I disagree with your personal opinion and posit my own: an interpretation which not only explains why it APPEARS that the sun is moving, but also fits with all of the evidence, including the fact that satellites that remain fixed in the same location above specific locations on the earth do not fall.

I also post my credentials as a tutor in biology, chemistry, and physics, as well as maths up to Calculus. I am a student at TTU in Biology.

Given your lack of scientific accuracy, I'd wager that even a high school science education is more than yours.

What credentials do you have?

They never said anything about a geocentric universe.

, why would you hear one who has been to space and returned, like the Prophet Enoch, the seventh from Adam?
Probably because the real Enoch never wrote anything that we know of, and the writing attributed to him is as bogus as a $43.76249 bill.

Anything else?

I go with the Scriptures
Well no, you don't. You go with the "meaning" that you've assigned to some Scriptures, meanings that are inconsistent with what you think they mean coming from anyone else. For instance, if the Bible says "the sun came up", then you maintain that it "means" that the sun circles the earth. But if I say "the sun came up", you know full well that it means "the part of the globe where I'm standing turned toward the sun." If Scripture says God sits in the sun, you believe it "means" that God has ensconced Himself within the sun itself. If Jipsah says he sits in the sun, you know it "means" that he's sitting on his back porch in the afternoon. You just make the stuff mean what you want it to to "support" your curious beliefs.

, and not with men who always change their mind and who give us their "proofs" based on their own desires to prove God a liar.
Interesting ad hominem, but the earth continues to orbit the sun without taking any notice of your dearly held beliefs.

And the really funny thing is that it's God Who designed it to work that way. All your notions about how you think the universe ought to work based on your misunderstanding of the Bible have you ardently protesting against laws and principles that God kaid down Himself.

Looking into the history of those whose words/philosophies are trusted over God's clear word
There's no contradiction between the Laws of God in Holy Writ and the Laws of God as observed in the working of the universe.

And God having said that is recorded where, exactly? Is that from the Bible, or the spurious book of "Enoch"? If the latter, the I think we may stand assured that God said no such thing.

That's a bit too generous, I think.

The bulk of the argument for the Earth being the center of the universe is that what we perceive as us moving in space and revolving around a star could rather be everything in the universe moving around us- basically, that it's simply an illusion by our perceptive bias that the Earth is moving.

God wrote through Moses exactly that the earth was first, with the heavens as a force that was not stretched out from the earth, nor was the heavens or the earth "furbished" when in the beginning the heavens and earth were called into being; and out of the waters of creation everything that is created, was brought forth.

YHWH wrote, through Moses: So if one does not believe Moses, nor Enoch the prophet the seventh from Adam, who traversed the entire universe, seeing everything, and to all the heavens stretched out and to the depths beneath and was shown everything by the angels in charge of it all; and if one does not believe the Hebrew prophets, nor the LORD Jesus Christ come in flesh, nor John the Revelator, who was given the words to write that also corroborate geocentrism; then their blindness is incurable, and arguing with them based on their own idols and the lies of men of unbelief, whom they hold above the Word of God, can never convince them of their deception by the father of lies in this matter of earth first, with the heavens of power right with it and as a globe of water; then the heavens second, stretched out from the earth between the divided in two waters of creation.

That makes as much sense as the blind men and the elephant.

1. IF the sun is an electric lamp, as YSM has declared, how does it heat the earth? The earth is dependent upon the heat from the earth that comes from the sun.
Heliocentrism explains this perfectly, as the heat is generated from the nuclear reactions in the sun's core, and transferred to the earth via waves of Ultraviolet radiation, as well as various other cosmic waves .
In order for the electric lamp of YSM's geocentricity to work, the sun would have to be smaller than the earth. This would result in the sun not producing enough heat to be transferred only in the visible spectrum.

2. IF Jupiter orbits the earth, then why is its orbit neither elliptical nor circular? The Ptolemaic model requires something else over there, but it is invisible to every one of our methods of viewing.
The heliocentric model explains why Jupiter seems to be a complicated dance step more than a real orbit: We are moving in relation to Jupiter, specifically around the sun!

3. If YSM's theory of lab-made galaxies is true, then please explain why we aren't in the center of our own galaxy.
Heliocentrism doesn't need to explain this because we aren't that absurdly naive.

If Moses wrote that someone must have since lost it, as Scripture says nothing of the kind.

Sorry, the book of Enoch is bogus. For proof of that, it's sufficient to know that the stuff recorded in "Enoch" as to the working of the universe contradicts God's actual design of the universe, visible to anyone who cares to look.

That's the problem you have here. Your view of the universe comes from book that is, for all practical purposes, pure fantasy. The Bible doesn't require belief in a geocentric universe, it simply states everything in normal geocentric terms that we all still use. But "Enoch" gives detailed descriptions of the working of the universe, and those descriptions are simply and demonstrably untrue. "Enoch" has the sun flitting around in space, going in and out of "doors", and doing all kinds of bizarre stuff. In reality, God's design is quite different. God has made the sun move in a regular, predictable manner, and the earth move around it in a similar orderly way. God has laid out everything so that it works perfectly, as one would imagine that He would.

Geocentric notions fail not only in refusing utterly to see the Law of God written large in the functioning of the universe, they also envision a universe where nothing works at all without conjuring up one-off rules and exceptions and excuses for things they can't explain away. Where God's design is elegance itself, the geocentric vision is a miserable kludge that no engineer in his right mind would want to take the blame for designing.

The Laws of Nature are God's Laws. If you can't believe that, then all the appeals to misunderstanding of real Scripture and the slavish adherence of false "scripture" won't alter it. If you can't look up and see the Law of God at work in His glorious design of the universe, then your religion has wandered far in the wrong direction.

Face it YSM, you're the one who's incorrect for believing a geocentric model. Not us, time to come to grips with the reality of how God has ordered the cosmos.
