This coastal city, a mighty city, deceived nations with sorcery, contained the blood of prophets and saints was destroyed in one hour. Jerusalem and Rome have been referred to as Babylon. I wouldn't call Jerusalem a might city of prosperity where the worlds merchants weep over her for, unable to do business. ??? They would mourn for Rome or New York or any major port city.And the ten horns which thou sawest are ten rulers, which have received no kingdom as yet; but receive power as kings one hour with the beast.

It is my very strong belief that the USA is the daughter of babylon, no other nation fits the characteristics of that last great nation described in Jer 50-51, Revelation 18, Isaiah 13-14, 47 like the USA does...
with that said, i can not be sure the Ten FEMA Governors that obama has already appointed are connected to the ten toes that do not adhere one to another Dan 2:44, my thought is this means civil war in babylon Jer 51:45-46, Rev 18:4

Actually, the 70th week is spoken of as starting at the "going forth of the command" to restore Israel. The U.N. declared that Israel should become a nation again in 1947. 70 weeks, or rather more accurately "feasts of weeks" which occur once every year, so 70 years later is 2017, aka the 120th and final Jubilee, the Lord's Jubilee.
Be that as it may, this thread is about "The Start of the Tribulation" not the start of the seventieth week. The tribulation is not seven years. It is "42 months" or "a time, times and half a time" or "1290" or "3 1/2 years". Just make sure you know that. It is very important. The Great Tribulation probably begins March 22, 2013 and ends October 3, 2016.

I guess we'll be seeing those two witnessess evangelizing to the Jews around that time. I have been expecting the GT soon. Interestingly enough, Israel has a time line to respond to Iran with an attack before said nukes are made around that time. By then Assad should be ousted and the new Imam of the Rebels in place. *historical note: Babylon was a great city for 2000 years and then emptied after Alexander the Great. The Persians took it over for 900 years and then Islam began around 700 AD. The obvious presence of Satan (the beast) started corrupting in the Garden butand his first city was Babylon and its seed certainly spread throughout the world. Scripture does imply that the antichrist isn't revealed until he suffers a deadly blow to the head and apparently is resurrected (resuscitated) back to life, at which time Satan enters into him. The Revelation was written well after the destruction of Jerusalem. Which is why the beast has manifested itself in different areas: Babylon, Medo/Persian, Greek and Roman empires. I watched the 2 hour video. The interpretation of the 70 weeks was compelling but had a flaw that I noticed. It disregarded two events in Dan. 9:26 and brushed right over them as if they were being avoided!
1. "...the Messiah is cut off ..." Well, in the GT, the Messiah does not get cut off!
2. "destroy the city and the sanctuary"
The prince who came after Jesus did destroy the city and temple in 70AD!
But they seem to make everything else work. But examining the alternate interpretation, in which "weeks of years" adds up to 483 years, brings us to Christ's "First Coming" and the finale week contains his ministry: In the middle of the week, he was "cut off"; He put an end to sin with His atonement; He made sacrifice in the temple obsolete; He made an New Covenant and then years later the city and temple were destroyed! I do believe this interpretation is stronger!
Nevertheless, that one generation is 70 years and this can be applied to Israel becoming a nation in 1948 is a valid observation in prophecy. That leaves us with the same timeline give or take a year.
The bottom line is: This video claims that the Great Tribulation will start on March 22, 2013, so if this date comes and goes and nothing happens, then we will know this ministry is somewhat off --but not entirely, especially if they only miss it by a year or so. We'll see.
