  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Gen 3:19 shows mans death was established as a result of the fall.
By the sweat of your face you shall eat bread, till you return to the ground, for out of it you were taken; for you are dust, and to dust you shall return.”

The verse does no such thing. It's merely a statement of fact that he was going to struggle his whole life til he died. He was created miortal and was always going to die. His life just got worse after the fall.

If Adam and Eve didn't eat from the tree of knowledge of good and evil they would still be alive today.

Again, something which is not found in scripture.

If they hadn't eaten from the Tree of Life would they be alive, today?

I find it rather amazing how the Theo-Evo crowd tries to change the bible to make it conform to the religion of evolutionism.
They claim Adams sin didn't bring physical death to humans...but their Jesus physically had to die on the cross.

Considering how they claim the account of Genesis didn't really happen....just how did sin and death enter into the world? Did inspired Paul get it wrong?

Did a mutation cause mankind to sin?

So, do tell us....just what is found in scripture?

God created all human beings as mortal beings, from the dust destined to return. It is the next world, the next life and next body which are immortal.

There is no contradiction there and that is the only thing supported in scripture. This "immortal Adam" doctrine is non-biblical.

Considering how they claim the account of Genesis didn't really happen....

Stop generalizing. The events of Genesis happened.

just how did sin and death enter into the world?

Death was a natural part of a mortal word. Sin came when someone first did something wrong in the eyes of God.

Did inspired Paul get it wrong?

No, people misread Paul and they get it wrong.

Did a mutation cause mankind to sin?

No.

If we're only animals....primates......and animals can't sin....then how/when did they first do something wrong in the eyes of God?

Wow, that's a huge example of circular reasoning plus it is fully unrelated to what I posted about. Advice: delete that and re-read my post and respond directly to the content instead of content that never was presented.

The next body in the next life is what Adam and Eve had.

Made out of dirt? No, you are wrong. Adam and Eve were never immortal and may never be immortal.

I understand your trying to avoid my question. Heck, you Theo-evos have been doing it a while now.
Your view is not supported by the bible. If so, please show me chapter and verse.

Jesus' body while on earth was just like our....made from dirt so to speak. That is although we are made through a biological process, the original human...Adam...was made from dirt. When we die we return to the dirt.

The resurrected body of Christ still has the physical features we have, yet glorified... The resurrected body of Christ is physical yet also immortal. I do suspect you reject the physical resurrection of Jesus.
Anyway....prior to the fall Adam had an immortal, physical, glorified body...that fell. That spiritually died and then physically died.
The bible is pretty clear we all die spiritually and physically because of Adam.

Hold on, now. You've been given chapter and verse a couple of times. You should respond to those before you ask for more.

Jesus' body while on earth was just like our....made from dirt so to speak.

Yes and he was in a mortal body that aged and would eventually die, just as Adam.

That is although we are made through a biological process, the original human...Adam...was made from dirt.

Which disproves the immortal Adam doctrine.

The resurrected body of Christ still has the physical features we have, yet glorified... The resurrected body of Christ is physical yet also immortal. I do suspect you reject the physical resurrection of Jesus.

Why would you suspect that? I can prove Jesus physically resurrected:

Joh_20:27 Then saith he to Thomas, Reach hither thy finger, and behold my hands; and reach hither thy hand, and thrust it into my side: and be not faithless, but believing.
Joh_20:28 And Thomas answered and said unto him, My Lord and my God.
Joh_20:29 Jesus saith unto him, Thomas, because thou hast seen me, thou hast believed: blessed are they that have not seen, and yet have believed.

Is there anything else you assume about me with zero justification?

Anyway....prior to the fall Adam had an immortal, physical, glorified body...that fell.

Prove that using scripture please. I assume you are able to.

The bible is pretty clear we all die spiritually and physically because of Adam.

It is clear only about the spiritual death that leads to hell fire. It is perfectly clear humans are mortal and physical death is a natural part of a mortal life.
