It'd be great if you guys provided more private contractors, laborers, engineers, and surveyors instead of missionaries. I'd gladly pick up a hammer instead of a bible.

That church provided lots of employment for all those professions. Who do you think built those buildings? Were there deals cut to provide jobs to some who needed work, on these projects? I'd like to think so.

Part of the outreach of many churches is the funding of building projects, which employ local workers. Providing workers from outside doesn't help the local economy much.

Also, training new employees is best left to the building industry (and the market), not the churches.

No, that is called evidence. You just contradicted yourself. And of course the observed increasing velocity of more distant galaxies is only part of the evidence for the Big Bang.

I am amazed at how many people do not understand the nature of scientific evidence.

Or, those that are down on this luck, and their health, are more receptive to the (unsubstantiated) promises made by religions. Hence, the development of a venue that best allows for the targeting of those at their weakest, religious or not.

If they could do it without the sales pitch, then I would not find it reprehensible.

if the universe is infinite, such an expansion would merely be localized.

the discovery of "dark matter" indicates that up to 2/3 of or universe could be "trapped" in some kind of "quantum flux".
