there's no such thing as magic. Let's see a single, solitary piece of evidence that anyone has ever been resurrected from the grave after four days. One that is not both the claim and the evidence for the claim at the same time. One that does not require one to accept it on faith. One that does not require us to use our imagination as the only alternative if we want to "see" it happen.

This just happened this week.

Some people we knew when our kids went to the same school 5 years ago, who we have not seen or had contact with since our kids left to go to other schools.
This family has a kid with a mental disability. There are service dogs that can be purchased to help with the child's progress and integration into society at a more productive level. The dogs cost upwards of $1500.00. More than this family can afford.

The mother of this child prays and says that she is putting it in God's hands and trusts that He will do what ever is needed for her child and let Him supply the answer to their problem.

Then, while doing the dishes, she hears "call XXXXXXXXX" (my wife) who she has not seen or talked to in years.

So, the lady calls my wife and tells her the story. She mentions that they were hoping to get a dog at the end of the school year as a graduation gift for this child.

My wife tells her that our female just had a litter of pups and they will be ready to go to their "forever" homes in the first couple of weeks of may. Our pups are a breed that is very intelligent and friendly, exactly what they need.


So, miracle, magic or what?

You're living in the wrong dispensation to make a claim like that.

And even if you were in the right one, and in the right place at the right time, a "Zaccheus" would still get precedence over you.

You could, I suppose, run up to Golgotha later and get in line with the scientists who mumbled:

Matthew 27:42 He saved others; himself he cannot save. If he be the King of Israel, let him now come down from the cross, and we will believe him.

But again, you would be setting yourself up for a disappointment.

THEN AGAIN, you could simply wait three days and three nights -- like a good scientist should -- and go to the tomb and see for yourself.

But three days and three nights is too long for a scientific methodist to wait, and that old Zwischenablage in his head would just assume not; preferring to accept any rumor that says what was going to happen, didn't.

Such as the rumor that His body was stolen by His disciples.

It makes sense if you think about it. I mean if you're standards for a miracle were this low, wouldn't you be hyper-religious?
