Sure but just to clarify that most thiestic evolutionists believe that sincine the scientific record/evidence disputes Genesis then therefore that means our understanding and or interpretation of the scripture is flawed. They believe the scientific/geologic record is just as important a book written by God as the scriptures are. I'm sorry for bringing this up again but I couldn't resist.

I do believe that macro evolution hasn't been proven yet but I don't fear it if it is. My beliefs about how the ancient Hebrew was written and how it was to be understood will be able to support such facts if proven.

Hi Paul,
That Ezekiel prophecy I thought was for all those in Christ with the Holy SPirit.Ezekiel said the spirit would be poured out, if that was not at penetecost, I would say that propehcy was false and just throw the bible away. I assume The Holy Spirit is what gathers all people who are in Christ together.
Why would God pour out His spirit twice? I didn't read anything in the NT on that.
Anyway, according to my read on revelation, if the "2 witnesses" are killed in the same Great City that is being destroyed , what city could revelation being describing, just using this and not even spiritualizing it. I am of course after the Truth in the bible. I don't know how I have viewed this, as it just comes up when I am reading the bible.
Anyway, how do you view this brother?

Ok but we still have a difference. Verse 19 says that "the cities of the nations fell" this tells me that when this great Babylon falls so will other cities around the world. Now in Rev 18 we are told that when Babylon the great falls the kings of the earths well as the merchants of the earth will weep and mourn over her demise.

In Rev. 16 we see a whole worldwide catastrophy but in Rev. 18 we see only a local catastrophy concerning Babylon the great and that's why I view these as separate places and events.

Let me ask you, since in Rev. 16 the idea is of a worldwide catastrophy why would anyone around the world weep over America when the same things are happening to them?

Makes you wonder if 16,17,& 18 aren't different Babylons. I DO believe that 18 is the US. I have heard some people say that Rev 17 is Britian or [EDIT]. Does Britian sit on many waters? I don't know much history, so I don't know if Chpt 17 would fit Britian or not. I heard that Britian was our Mother at one time, (Mother of Harlots?) and that the colonies broke away from them. I hated history, LOL. That does make sense on why they would be weeping over America when they are having their own "difficulties" LOL.

Nephilim is the Hebrew word used as giants in the English in Genesis 6:4 and Numbers 13:33, in the Hebrew it means "fallen ones". I and yes many believe that these fallen ones were the progeny of fallen angels and human women. Some believe that these nephilim are present today and explain the ufo phenomenon and alien abduction.

Hummmm. Makes me wonder though since the angel with the 7 viles comes over and talks to John. It sounds to me like this process of the great city in 16, and the harlot in 17 are going on at about the same time period, or fairly close together. Another angel comes down from heaven in 18, so that could be much later. Isn't Rev fun, LOL?

What is even stranger, is that here the vials appear to still be full!!!! Is this translation right? I had to look at it twice, but the fact it even said "filled" is odd.
Some had "had" and some have "having". So I don't really know. Nana, it is a lot of fun and exciting.
Revelation is really so out of order, and changes symbolism so much, it is like a hugh devine jigsaw puzzle. No wonder it was almost not accepted in the canon!:o
