  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

It's alot slower tempo then Judy Jacobs, but the Holy Spirit is all over that song. The first time that I heard it, I just stopped what I was doing, and felt like I wasn't breathing. They play it all of the time on the Christian radio station here.

Jesus comes again to thwart the invasion of Jerusalem at the end of the tribulation. I thought I should at least give my opinion on this...:)
LOL, I forgot even what topic I was on. I believe that Jerusalem is destroyed to make way for the New Jerusalem, LOL. There is scripture that shows that Jerusalem is destroyed, but I forgot where at the moment.

I don't know of any passage that says that but trust me, that isn't saying alot :D

I believe Jerusalem is spared destruction by the armies that wish to destroy her. However because of the destruction caused by the wrath of God that Jesus, the King of Kings, and the Lord of Lords brings to earth at his second comeing a new earth is formed out of the mess that is left. not an actual new earth but a reforming of the one that is laid waste.

I guess if you find that scripture mentioning jerusalem being destroyed I would have to suggest that it is from the event I have stated my belief in.

I found it and came back...Luke 21:20-21 ~And when ye shall see Jerusalem compassed with armies, then know that the desolation thereof is nigh.
21 Then let them which are in Judaea flee to the mountains; and let them which are in the midst of it depart out; and let not them that are in the countries enter thereinto. Sounds like they are going to be destroyed to me.

Yes it sure does but does Jesus make it clear who actually will make jerusalem desolate? I don't think from those two passages you can say for sure that any army will destroy the city, it just doesn't make it clear.

However if you turn to Rev. 16 I believe we may see something happening around Jerusalem that sheds light on what Jesus was speaking about there in Luke 21.

Rev. 16:14, For they are the spirits of devil;s, working miracles, which go forth unto the kings of the earth and of the whole world, to gather them to the battle of that great day of God Almighty
Here I see the meaning of this that armies from all over the world will converge, but where?

Rev. 16:16, And he gathered them together into a place called in the Hebrew tongue Armageddon.
Here I see those armies converging at Armageddon who some believe is Megiddo which I believe is in Israel.

So I believe Rev. 16 is talking about the same thing jesus is talking about in Luke 21:20-21 but if you look closely at the story unfolding in Rev. 16 those armies never go on the attack. Why? because the seventh and final trumpet blows! I believe the rapture takes place at this time.

Now read Rev. 16:19-21, And the great city was divided into three parts, and the cities of the nations fell: and great Babylon came in remembrance before God, to give unto her the cup of wine of the fiereness of his wrath. And every island fled away, and the mountains were not found. Anf there fell upon men a great hail out of heaven, every stone about the weight of a talent: and men blasphemed God because of the plague thereof was exceeding great.

Whose wrath causes these things I must ask myself. I have to say Gods because 16:19 says it's from "the cup of the wine of the fierceness of HIS wrath".

I also should have added that this passage makes it clear that these armies are going to do battle, not with Jerusalem as they so want and intend but are leading themselves into the battle of "that great day of God Almighty" which in other parts of the Bible is described as God's ultimate wrath upon evil on this earth.

Joel 2:11, And the Lord shall utter his voice before his army: for his camp is very great: for he is strong that executeth his word: for the day of the Lord is great and very terrible; and who can abide it?

The end times will come when Christians are almost exterminated.

Looks like you are right. Better have on the armor of God when He come;)
It appears to be the second coming, both in vengeance and wrath and to redeem those who are His.

reve 14:14 And I saw, and behold, a white cloud, and upon the cloud [one] sitting like to a son of man, having upon his head a golden crown, and in his hand a sharp sickle; 15 And another angel came out of the temple, crying with a loud voice to Him who sat on the cloud, "Thrust in Your sickle and reap, for the time has come for You to reap, for the harvest of the earth is ripe." 16 So He who sat on the cloud thrust in His sickle on the earth, and the earth was reaped

reve 20:4 And I saw thrones, and they sat on them, and judgment was committed to them. Then [I saw] the souls of those who had been beheaded for their witness to Jesus and for the word of God, who had not worshiped the beast or his image, and had not received [his] mark on their foreheads or on their hands. And they lived and reigned with Christ for a thousand years. 5 But the rest of the dead did not live again until the thousand years were finished. This [is] the first resurrection. 6 Blessed and holy [is] he who has part in the first resurrection. Over such the second death has no power, but they shall be priests of God and of Christ, and shall reign with Him a thousand years.[strange it shows both God and Christ, but has the word "Him" for both. Is this a correct translation?]

romans 13:10 Love does no harm to a neighbor; therefore love [is] the fulfillment of the law. 11 And [do] this, knowing the time, that now [it is] high time to awake out of sleep; for now our salvation [is] nearer than when we [first] believed. 12 The night is far spent, the day is at hand. Therefore let us cast off the works of darkness, and let us put on the armor of light.

You must not have read any of my "Babylon" posts. I believe that Babylon is the United States. I can see the US being divided into 3 parts. We sit on some monster earthquake faults here. We have one called the San Andreas that runs the length of California from North to South, where the Pacific plate meets the northern American plate. I call it the big endtime scar, because it is wide and ugly!!! Then there is the New Madrid Fault, that is huge, and runs across 5 state lines, and crosses the Mississippi river in 3 places, and the Ohio river in 2 places. The EQ of 1811 caused the Mississippi river to flow backwards. Then the Denali Fault in Alaska that meets the Pacific Plate and the North American Plate. I think that these plates are going to seperate into 3 parts.
I can easily see how the cities of the nations are going to fall when these 3 plates suddenly seperate. They can have an EQ way up north in San Francisco 500 + miles from where I live, and we can feel it here. It may only be a 6.5. Can you imagine the richter scale when these 3 plates are seperated? There will be no way of measuring this when it happens.

Why not read up on geology to prevent errors such as this. Will you tell me why these 3 plates are going to separate? Do you even know how these faults work?

Oh goody. I see you are back again. I have studied Geology for years, as I live in one of the most active seismic zones on earth besides Japan... California. When you are moving, you like to know what is causing it. Yes, I know how faults work. When these 3 plates seperate, it's going to be by God, not naturally.

You are joking right? I mean how have you been studying geology for years when you make statements about these plates separating when that is not what they are doing?

You might bamboozle some folks on here with this nonsense but not me. Please tell me the mechanism for the separation? I dare you.

They aren't seperating now, and that wasn't even said. I also said that God is going to do it. Shows that you need to read a post first, before making comments. This is an endtime event that is going to happen. As far as trying to "bamboozle" you, I'm sitting here laughing at your post. Thank God He gave me a sense of humor. I could care less what you think ya know? You showed your attitude on a previous day, and I don't have time for the arrogant.

You mean you don't have time for those who call out scientific mumbo jumbo. You have no basis for saying God is going to separate these plates. You can say God is going to do something but don't frame that in some half baked scientific appeal when it is obvious you don't know geology. Why bring the plates into it? You only did that as some weak appeal that since you mentioned geology we must think it lends credence to your fantasies. That is weak.

Depends on if that is a "literal" 3 parts or symbolic 3 parts:cool: Biblically it follows Ezekiel (as does a lot of revelation). Revelation can't be taken "literally" too much from what I have seen of it.

ezekiel 5:9 'And I will do among you what I have never done, and the like of which I will never do again, because of all your abominations. 12 'One-third of you shall die of the pestilence, and be consumed with famine in your midst; and one-third shall fall by the sword all around you; and I will scatter another third to all the winds, and I will draw out a sword after them. 13 ' Thus shall My anger be spent, and I will cause My fury to rest upon them, and I will be avenged; and they shall know that I, the LORD, have spoken [it] in My zeal, when I have spent My

Maybe because it is symbolic of Jerusalem, as revelation does show a "jewish" city being destroyed?. Some think it is Iraq, some think it is the vatican in Rome, some think it is America etc. My view is just a view like others but I am trying to keep mine as biblical as I can, so no harm done. I was just showing what the 3 parts might be symbolizing.:holy:

God referred them to Sodom and Gomorrah, so why not "mystery" babylon also? No harm in just looking at it in different ways. I try to go strictily by scripture when I can Nana, as that is all I read I guess. You had a revelation that said it was America, my revelation told me it was Jerusalem, so I guess we won't know untill it happens:cool:

Isaih 1:10 Hear the word of the LORD, You rulers of Sodom; Give ear to the law of our God, You people of Gomorrah:

It is showing a "judgement" in revelation I believe.

Matt 11:21 "Woe to you, Chorazin! Woe to you, Bethsaida! For if the mighty works which were done in you had been done in Tyre and Sidon, they would have repented long ago in sackcloth and ashes. 22 "But I say to you, it will be more tolerable for Tyre and Sidon in the day of judgment than for you.

Isaiah 28:14 Therefore hear the word of the LORD, you scornful men, Who rule this people who [are] in Jerusalem, 15 Because you have said, "We have made a covenant with Death, And with Hades we are in agreement. When the overflowing scourge passes through, It will not come to us, For we have made lies our refuge, And under falsehood we have hidden ourselves." 16 Therefore thus says the Lord GOD: "Behold, I lay in Zion a stone for a foundation, A tried stone, a precious cornerstone, a sure foundation; Whoever believes will not act hastily. 17 Also I will make justice the measuring line, And righteousness the plummet; The hail will sweep away the refuge of lies, And the waters will overflow the hiding place.

Revel 20:14 Then Death and Hades were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death.

I haven't seen your posts before about Babylon and I might surprise you by saying that I believe you are right in part. I believe "mystery, Babylon the Great" is America! However that's in Rev. 17, Rev. 16 only says "great Babylon" so I tend to believe they're two different places.
