If you think the Russian language is too complicated
for a high school class.

At least teach high schoolers the Russian alphabet.

Then they would be more likely to learn the
Russian language in College.

Bad idea. If they could read Russian they might read real Russian history and literature. Putin's propaganda would be revealed for what it is, along with the corruption of the Russian Orthodox Church which helps keep him in power. You really don't want Westerners to learn to read Russian.

There is plenty of real Russian history and literature available in English. I can't tell if you were serious or being ironic in the above post. I hope the latter.
