There it is again- you're both giving your personal opinions about the Rosary, rather than answering the OP's question.

It's not a matter of opinion that nowhere in scripture does God instruct us to pray to anyone but Him alone. That's fact.

Your answers belong in a "Is the Rosary Scriptural?" thread, not a thread like this.

But how do you pray the rosary?

It is in the main a mediation on the gospels not just a prayer repetition, that just gives it structure.

Visualize the mysteries.

Remember and recite the relevant scriptures

Recite the Fatima prayer in each decade, and visualize Jesus there, listening.

The joyful, a trip through Luke's gospel, the sorrowful become for example an extended visualisation of the way of the cross.

And visualize our Lord and lady in the room.
Put gaps after each spoken line, as you would speaking to another.
Insert the word please before requests!

The way it is done machine gun fire, without address of scripture. sometimes in public is simply not right. And disrespectful to those to whom you speak.

There are many books.
Sister Lucia of Fatima speaks about it in her memoirs.

I've been maintaining a very deep prayer life for all last semester, a not-so-deep prayer life for a year or so before that, and not much of any prayer life before that, but at any stage, no matter how much or how hard I try, praying the Rosary just doesn't seem to do anything for me or for anything or anyone around me. The Rosary is a pretty big time commitment. It's a powerful prayer though. But if you're not benefiting from praying it, you could try praying a single Hail Mary and maybe throwing in a different Marian devotion. One in particular that I pray frequently is Alma Redemptoris Mater:

Loving Mother of the Redeemer,
gate of heaven, star of the sea,
assist your people who have fallen yet strive to rise again.
To the wonderment of nature you bore your Creator,
yet remained a virgin after as before.
You who received Gabriel's joyful greeting,
have pity on us poor sinners.

If you want something non-Marian, I'm sure you're familiar with Act of Contrition:

O my God, I am heartily sorry for having offended Thee,
and I detest all my sins because they offend Thee, my God,
Who art all good and deserving of all my love.
I firmly resolve, with the help of Thy grace,
to confess my sins, to do good, avoid evil,
and to amend my life. Amen.

I pray that one frequently. I've always found it beneficial.

Another part of my devotions includes reciting the Nicene Creed. Verbally expressing the core beliefs of the faith is always good practice, in my opinion.

Generally, asking for prayers from saints you identify with isn't a bad practice either. The ones I keep coming back to are St. Brendan the Navigator (Patron saint of sailors, navigators, mariners, seafarers, those traveling by sea), St. Andrew and St. Margaret (Patron saints of Scotland) and back in my IT days there was also Isidore of Seville (Patron saint of computer scientists and computer-users).

The Annunciation and the Visitation; but the validity of this ancient prayer isn't what the OP is asking to discuss, so it would be best if you (and others) didn't try to make it about that.

Now, if the ROSARY is not in the Bible as something we as Christians are told to do, then that right there may just be the reason why the op said...……………..

You can disagree all you want- it doesn't change the fact that you aren't answering the question that the OP asked. You're deviating from the topic to insert your opinion on a specific prayer, and your opinion on its validity wasn't solicited.

The OP was not asking whether the Rosary is a valid prayer, and no matter of twisting their words can make it come even close to sounding like they were asking for this. You're off topic and that's that.

I don't know. The rosary didn't do much for me either. To be fair, I was using a rosary app. Perhaps the traditional rosary would be better...? Blessings.

I do not "feel" anything at all about it. I am just saying that the Rosary is not a Bible Doctrine.

I don't know. The rosary didn't do much for me either. To be fair, I was using a rosary app. Perhaps the traditional rosary would be better...? Blessings.

Prayer does everything but prayer to Mary is simply not Biblical.

The rosary is not mentioned in scripture because it is a human invention. It is not of God. It does not provide forgiveness of our sins, relief from punishment, or certain graces; nor does it give us victory over hell. In fact, God has given us different directions.

It was not a statement that could be proven wrong. IT was a Question and I just asked if it was in the Bible. The purpose was to get Catholic believers to read their Bible!
