It means .......................the ship is sinking ........ :D

All rock & Rollers give us your fav rock & Roll song/s

I know a band in my town " The Jets " who have been together as a band for over 25 years , they are brothers (3) and have played great R&R all over the world.

There is just something so stylish and clean sounding about Rock & Roll .

Most of Marc Bolans music was Rock and Roll , and Bowie and Elton.

Long live Rock & Roll

25 years? wow. that's pretty awesome they've stayed together that long! a lot of the bands around here break up... mostly cause no one wants to stay here... lol

hmm...favorite rock songs... depends on what you want to refer to as "rock & roll". Elvis definitely no question there. You gotta love Elvis. My friend is a HUG fan of him... knows his dance moves and everything... rather frightening really lol

would you consider Led Zeppelin in that genre? some people do, some people dont. i would classify them as 'classic rock', but yeah...lol im rambling and only 1/2 awake, so forgive me if im not making much sense...

Rock & Roll covers such a wide spectrum .......... but basically it's that simple three maybe four chord song that makes you want to get up and dance .... I think you know Rock & Rolll when you here it ...

"Crazy Little thing called Love " ..... by Queen ...... that is so slick ..

Chuck Berry is the man. He started it all. Where would rock be without "Johnny B. Goode"?
you have a point there nadroj , Jimi hendrix said " I want to be remembered for my own sound like Chuck Berry .......... "

I guess he got his wish :D

I used to prefer the Bizkit version (didn't actually know it was a cover until my girlfriend told me and sent me the original via MSN) but now I prefer the original!

see, i prefer the original also, as far as the style/sound (i'm not a big Limp Bizkit fan myself), but i like the way Limp re-wrote some of the lyrics... overall, i'd probably put my vote on the original though. It's pretty good stuff. :D

maybe a little history lesson:-
Rock and roll was born out of literally nothing, it all started with the 1950's "race music."
this is during the time when racism was a big problem, especially in america. the black communities over there made their own music, this is the original rythem and blues, which is farfar better than the manufactured rubbish they make today. this was seen by the more enlightened of the time as quite brilliant music, companies such as sun records are now seen as legends. rock and roll was born from, to be frank "white people playing black people's music." in the 50's, nothing like it had been heard before, it was away from mainstream music, people such as Frank Sinatra tried to go through the senate to get it banned. it was "guitars and drums." very simple, very different and very effective. try listening to some of the early bands now, and maybe you'l realise why theyre seen to be so influencial, when they played from nothing. the beatles may sound simple, but theyre far from it if u know what your listening to. then there's pink floyd.... but that's another story taking it all the obvious step further...
