You misunderstand salvation through faith. . .not by works (Eph 2:8-9). That is your choice.
Sister, you have a bad translation where "belief" is translated as "faith" when Paul has revealed that the Greek word used is ambiguous for "belief" and should not always be translated as "faith". The following translation of the Ephesians passage is right when it translates the Greek word "pistis" as "belief" in this context, when most other translations are wrong, translating it as faith in the context of the "gift" of initial forgiveness. However, the "gift" is something different from salvation in general, referring to the special case at the beginning of our faith as explained in this other passage through David, but most translations of your Ephesians passage assume the "gift" is descriptive of salvation in general, overlooking most Jews who work hard at the temple with animal sacrifices to gain mastery over sin.

When people work, their wages are not a gift, but something they have earned. But people are credited righteousness (dikaiosuné), not because of their work, but because of their belief (pistis) in God who forgives sinners. David also spoke of this when he described the happiness of those who are credited righteousness (dikaiosuné) without working for it: “Oh, what joy for those whose disobedience is forgiven, whose sins are put out of sight. Yes, what joy for those whose record the LORD has cleared of sin.” Now, is this blessing only for the Jews, or is it also for uncircumcised Gentiles? Well, we have been saying that Abraham was credited righteousness (dikaiosuné) by God because of his belief (pistis). But how did this happen? Was he credited righteousness (dikaiosuné) only after he was circumcised, or was it before he was circumcised? Clearly, God accepted Abraham before he was circumcised! (Romans 4:4-10 NLT fixed)

Changing the initial "gift" to salvation as what "is not a reward for the good things we have done" is wrong as David's experience will show. The following translation failed when it switched the focus from the "gift" of initial forgiveness to salvation in general when salvation requires one to work hard daily with animal sacrifices at the temple to gain mastery over sin.

God saved you by his grace when you believed (pistis). And you can’t take credit for this; it is a gift from God. Salvation/the gift is not a reward for the good things we have done, so none of us can boast about it. For we are God’s masterpiece. He has created us anew in Christ Jesus, so we can do the good things/work (ergon) he planned for us long ago. (Ephesians 2:8-10 NLT fixed and overlaid with commentary)

The first contact is free and is different from the rest of the relationship that costs! Our common experience is that companies offer "free trials" to encourage purchases. God's initial forgiveness is free when the rest of His additional many forgivenesses are not free and require us to work hard daily in the temple with animal sacrifices in God's full plan of salvation. In David's story, his sin destroyed his faith because faith requires obedience to "all" of God's good works.

“Do you think that I like to see wicked people die? says the Sovereign LORD. Of course not! I want them to turn from their wicked ways and live. However, if righteous (adjective) people turn from their righteousness (noun) and start doing sinful things and act like other sinners, should they be allowed to live? No, of course not! All their righteous acts will be forgotten, and they will die for their sins. (Ezekiel 18:23-26 NLT fixed)

The above passage explains that David was lost in sin, where all his previous good works were forgotten before he entered into a new faith below where he now knew he was lost when he did not know that before.

Then David confessed to Nathan, “I have sinned against the LORD.” Nathan replied, “Yes, but the LORD has forgiven you, and you won’t die for this sin. (2 Samuel 12:13 NLT)

In the story of David, his initial forgiveness is free but not the rest of his future forgivenesess in the full cost of salvation from his slavery to sin, which would require David to work hard daily at the temple with animal sacrifices to gain mastery over sin.

Now there have been many of those priests, since death prevented them from continuing in office; but because Jesus lives forever, he has a permanent priesthood. Therefore he is able to save completely those who come to God through him, because he always lives to intercede for them. Such a high priest truly meets our need—one who is holy, blameless, pure, set apart from sinners, exalted above the heavens. (Hebrews 7:23-26 NIV)
Not talking about living by grace. Talking about salvation of Eph 2:8-9 by grace.
The passage says the gift of initial forgiveness is free and not salvation when God puts us to work which is not rest! It says God forgives our past sins as a gift, when you first believe, to put us to "work" and not to give us rest from the "work" He planned for us long ago. One of these works "ready since he made the world" is the Sabbath corrected from human tradition in Hebrews. The word "salvation" in place of the "gift" of initial forgiveness is a bad translation, making the passage say we do not need to "work" for our salvation from sin when the original actually says He wants us to do the "work" God planned for us long ago. He expects "work" and not to rest for those who have received the gift of initial forgiveness for past sins. The gift of crediting righteousness for having believed grants initial forgiveness for prior sins for having "believed". Faith requires at least one act of God's given works of righteousness and you get that first act as a gift when God credits your having believed, as your first act of "righteousness", completing your faith before doing any additional regular works of righteousness at the temple.

(Ephesians 2:8-10 NLT fixed)

Sister, there is another word in Greek for "belief" that allows these two words to be kept separate in Greek as in Hebrew, but God has in the New Testament deliberately made the Greek word "pistis" ambiguous for "belief", which requires decoding of "pistis" based on context between "belief" or "faith" to fully understand the New Testament. Why did God do this? He tells us why in the next passage! Satan has used a man in the mother of all prostitutes who has many daughters to deceive with the lie of humans being able to replace the Sabbath with Sunday. This is in irony with the Sabbath being corrected from human tradition under the new covenant in Hebrews.

This man will come to do the work of Satan with counterfeit power and signs and miracles. He will use every kind of evil deception to fool those on their way to destruction, because they refuse to love and accept the truth that would save them. So God will cause them to be greatly deceived, and they will believe these lies. Then they will be condemned for enjoying evil rather than believing the truth. (2 Thessalonians 2:9-12 NLT)

Paul tells us in the following passage that this Greek word "pistis" is ambiguous for the Hebrew word "believed" and should not always be translated as "faith" in the Greek New Testament.

For the Scriptures tell us, “Abraham believed (pisteuó) God, and God counted to him as righteousness (dikaiosuné).” When people work, their wages are not a gift, but something they have earned. But people are counted righteousness (dikaiosuné), not because of their work, but because of their faith (pistis here is "belief" as what is counted as "righteousness" by the previous quoted Abraham passage in Hebrew revealing an ambiguous word in Greek that should not always be translated as "faith" in the Greek New Testament) in God who forgives sinners. (Romans 4:3-5 NLT fixed and overlaid with commentary)

I think it should be a christian Sabbath safehouse. For the same purpose that the 7th day safehouse was created?
Here would be the place Forum suggestion forum.
Open a thread my friend with an explanation of what you have in mind.

However having it named christian Sabbath safehouse implies those who don't hold to what you purport are not Christians.
I myself would fight that tooth and nail.

Messianic? I get why you might think that. I am just a Christian. To say non-denominational seems silly but that is what I would say.

I have no doubt that Paul chose the correct Greek word when he dictated his letters in Greek.
Sister, I have no doubt that Paul is inspired! That is why my conclusion from what he has revealed in Romans 4:3-5 is different, because I know that Paul cannot contradict what came before him in the original passage of Abraham about what is counted as righteousness being "belief" and not "faith". What comes before always defeats any contradiction that comes after, which disqualifies the ministry of any later contradictor as a false prophet. The only position in which Paul's inspiration holds is if Paul has not changed the original Abraham passage at all and is revealing an ambiguous word in the Greek New Testament that can mean "belief", just as in the original Abraham passage.

Look to God’s instructions and teachings! People who contradict his word are completely in the dark. (Isaiah 8:20 NLT)

Paul's revelation about the Greek word "pistis" being ambiguous for "belief" is confirmed in the following passage by even more clearly saying that "faith" is not "belief" alone, when the Greek word "pistis" sometimes means "belief" and not always "faith".

You say you have faith (pistis), for you believe that there is one God. Good for you! Even the demons believe this, and they tremble in terror. How foolish! Can’t you see that faith (pistis) without good deeds is inactive? Don’t you remember that our ancestor Abraham was shown to be right with God by his actions when he offered his son Isaac on the altar? You see, his belief (pistis) and his actions worked together. His actions made his faith (pistis) complete. And so it happened just as the Scriptures say: “Abraham believed (pisteuó) God, and God credited to him as righteousness (work).” He was even called the friend of God. So you see, we are shown to be right with God by what we do (faith), not by belief (pistis) alone. (James 2:19-24 NLT fixed and overlaid with commentary)

We are agreed.
Sister, the "gift" of initial forgiveness for past sin and not the full cost of salvation crossed out in the below translation is free. Shown below in the case of David where any further sin by David in the future would need David to work hard his salvation at the temple with animal sacrifices to gain mastery over sin.

(Ephesians 2:8-10 NLT fixed)

The above free "gift" of initial forgiveness is found below in David's new faith. Where David believed God that he would have died for his sin had God not freely forgiven him. David would have died because David had not worked hard for his forgiveness at the temple like everyone else who sins again after the "gift" of initial forgiveness.

Then David confessed to Nathan, “I have sinned against the LORD.” Nathan replied, “Yes, but the LORD has forgiven you, and you won’t die for this sin. (2 Samuel 12:13 NLT)

We, like David after Jesus, need to work hard for our salvation to gain mastery over sin. Praying daily to our High Priest Jesus in the true heavenly temple for the forgiveness of any subsequent sin after the "gift" of initial free forgiveness when we believed for the first time.

Pray like this: Our Father in heaven, may your name be kept holy. May your Kingdom come soon. May your will be done on earth, as it is in heaven. Give us today the food we need, and forgive us our sins, as we have forgiven those who sin against us. And don’t let us yield to temptation, but rescue us from the evil one. “If you forgive those who sin against you, your heavenly Father will forgive you. But if you refuse to forgive others, your Father will not forgive your sins. (Matthew 6:9-15 NLT)

We are in the new covenant, not in David's covenant.
Sister, that change in covenant is learning to obey the Ten Commandments from a divine model of obedience in Jesus instead of a human model of obedience in Judaism. We are to be children of "Sarah" and not children of "Hagar" when Judaism replaced the Ten Commandments of God with Human traditions that disobey the Ten Commandments. As Jesus said: Judaism's human traditions "shut the door of the Kingdom of Heaven in people’s faces". Your view of the new covenant is inconsistent with the following passage when Jesus existed before David! Jesus is the same today as He was with David before the incarnation. Jesus is the one Moses saw face to face.

Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever. (Hebrews 13:8 NIV)

Don't you know that these animal sacrifices brought daily to the priests represented our daily turning to our Hight Priest Jesus in prayer for the forgiveness of past sins? David used the earthly stand-in temple copy of the true one in heaven, of which the earthly one was a shadow, an earthly representation of the true one in heaven.

Unlike these prior priests, Jesus lives forever to complete the daily work He began when we first believed until we gain mastery over sin by obeying "all" His now Eleven Commandments. Eleven Commandments in the new covenant of which the Fourth Commandment in Hebrews is corrected from the human tradition of a wrong view of the days of the week because the Sabbath in Jerusalem falls half a day before the seventh day of the week. Judaism since Joshua assumes incorrectly that the Sabbath in Jerusalem is the seventh day of the week when it falls half a day earlier between two days of the week.

Now there have been many of those priests, since death prevented them from continuing in office; but because Jesus lives forever, he has a permanent priesthood. Sister, God does not assume you know how to love based on our brief sinful lives. It is the opposite of what you are thinking! You don't reduce it to the summery expecting to know how to love better than God who has lived an eternity, but instead humbly follow "all" of God's expansion of the summery in the now Eleven Commandments.

He who loves has fulfilled the law (Ro 13:8).
For the third time, God does not assume you know how to love! Saying in the following passage that our best effort is as "filthy rags". It is the opposite of what you are thinking! You don't reduce it to the summery thinking you know better than God how to love when He has lived an eternity in comparison to your brief sinful life. Deciding for yourself how to love in disobedience to the now Eleven Commandments but instead obey "all" of God's expansion of the summery in the now Eleven Commandments.

You welcome those who gladly do good, who follow godly ways. But you have been very angry with us, for we are not godly. We are constant sinners; how can people like us be saved? We are all infected and impure with sin. When we display our righteous deeds, they are nothing but filthy rags. Like autumn leaves, we wither and fall, and our sins sweep us away like the wind. Yet no one calls on your name or pleads with you for mercy. Therefore, you have turned away from us and turned us over to our sins. (Isaiah 64:5-7 NLT)

Which is why God has given me the Holy Spirit who writes Christ's law of love on my heart.

I don't need a written code to know how to commit to my neighbor's well being as I am committed to my own, to do for him the necessities he cannot do for himself.
The good Samaritan is all the law that is necessary.

Which is why God has given me the Holy Spirit who writes Christ's law of love on my heart.
Sister, happy Sabbath, starting this Friday, December 1, 2023 at 9:34 AM EST! Humans have made the Holy Spirit an excuse to keep you from learning from Jesus how to be more like Him. This misuse of the Holy Spirit comes from a misidentification of Paul's use of the word "Spirit" in the following passage. Where it is the model "Spirit" of Jesus we are to follow and not the Holy Spirit as an excuse to keep ourselves too busy to learn from Jesus. Jesus is the "Spirit" Paul wants us to follow to be "more like Him as we are changed into His glorious image".

But whenever someone turns to the Lord, the veil (not knowing they were disobeying the Ten Commandments) is taken away. For the Lord is the Spirit (Jesus is the model "Spirit" to follow who obeyed properly the Ten Commandments as our example and Paul is not referring to the Holy Spirit as an excuse to disobey the Ten Commandments), and wherever the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom (from sin and not from God's Ten Commandments). So all of us who have had that veil (not knowing they were disobeying the Ten Commandments) removed can see and reflect the glory (character) of the Lord (in obeying the Ten Commandments). And the Lord—who is the Spirit (Jesus is the model "Spirit" Paul is telling us to follow and not the Holy Spirit, whose job is to tell us things through prophets and remind us of Jesus as the model "Spirit" to follow)—makes us more and more like him as we are changed into his glorious image. (2 Corinthians 3:16-18 NLT fixed and overlaid with commentary)
I don't need a written code to know how to commit to my neighbor's well being as I am committed to my own, to do for him the necessities he cannot do for himself. The good Samaritan is all the law that is necessary.
Going your own way keeps you away from Jesus with the made up human tradition of following the Holy Spirit in my previous response when Paul wants us to follow Jesus to be "more like Him as we are changed into His glorious image". You are behaving as Martha when Mary has made the better choice to learn from Jesus what to do instead of keeping herself too busy on the many things that can keep us from Jesus.

As Jesus and the disciples continued on their way to Jerusalem, they came to a certain village where a woman named Martha welcomed him into her home. Her sister, Mary, sat at the Lord’s feet, listening to what he taught. But Martha was distracted by the big dinner she was preparing. She came to Jesus and said, “Lord, doesn’t it seem unfair to you that my sister just sits here while I do all the work? Tell her to come and help me.” But the Lord said to her, “My dear Martha, you are worried and upset over all these details! There is only one thing worth being concerned about. Mary has discovered it, and it will not be taken away from her.” (Luke 10:38-42 NLT)

You would achieve more by learning from Jesus than by following your own path. You will accomplish less if you go your own way than if you follow Jesus, keeping yourself busy with the human excuse of following the Holy Spirit in a misidentification of Paul's use of "Spirit" in my previous response.

Then Jesus said, “Come to me, all of you who are weary and carry heavy burdens, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you. Let me teach you, because I am humble and gentle at heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy to bear, and the burden I give you is light.” (Matthew 11:28-30 NLT)

God's Holy Spirit is not an excuse in any shape, fashion or form.
Sister, happy Sabbath, starting this Friday, December 8, 2023, at 9:35 AM EST! Here is what we know about the Holy Spirit: "He will not speak on His own but will tell you what He has heard". We are told the Holy Spirit is silent, yet most people excuse replacing the Sabbath with Sunday as following a silent Holy Spirit. If the Holy Spirit "will not speak on his own" and everything He tells us that He hears is through the guarantied word of God by the prophets in the scriptures: who are these Sunday worshipers listening to? When they ask the silent Holy Spirit because "He will not speak on his own". I can tell you that they are not following Paul because he tells us to follow Jesus, Jesus being our model "Spirit" to follow, for us to do likewise when Jesus obeyed the current Eleven Commandments. Paul did not say the popular misidentification of Jesus as our model "Spirit" by humans replacing our model Jesus with the tradition that we are to follow the silent Holy Spirit as an excuse to disobey the current Eleven Commandments. Humans use the Holy Spirit as an excuse to say we asked the Holy Spirit, and He did not tell us to change anything because "He will not speak on his own".

“There is so much more I want to tell you, but you can’t bear it now. When the Spirit of truth comes, he will guide you into all truth. He will not speak on his own but will tell you what he has heard. He will tell you about the future. He will bring me glory by telling you whatever he receives from me. All that belongs to the Father is mine; this is why I said, ‘The Spirit will tell you whatever he receives from me.’ (John 16:12-15 NLT)

You want to take your chances on obeying human authority instead of God! We are warned against such behavior in the next passage. You think you can follow God's path in summary without needing to obey His expansion of His summary with the current Eleven Commandments. Satan also thinks he can live on his own terms different from God's way, and we know his end. You think you can convince God that you are worthy of eternal life without obeying the current Eleven Commandments, replacing the Sabbath with Sunday? If I were you, I would add the Eleven Commandments to whatever you think you are doing, that you think is like the good Samaritan, and not take your salvation into your own hands without obeying the now Eleven Commandments. The decision is yours, but I would not take the path you are taking! I am certain that the Samaritan's good works are included in the new Eleventh Commandment and you will not be deprived of whatever good you think you are doing by following the now Eleven Commandments.

But Peter and the apostles replied, “We must obey God rather than any human authority. The God of our ancestors raised Jesus from the dead after you killed him by hanging him on a cross. Then God put him in the place of honor at his right hand as Prince and Savior. He did this so the people of Israel would repent of their sins and be forgiven. We are witnesses of these things and so is the Holy Spirit, who is given by God to those who obey him.” (Acts 5:29-32 NLT)

You will have to give up replacing the Sabbath with Sunday as expressed in the new covenant in the book of Hebrews! The Holy Spirit has told us what He heard, written down through the guaranteed word of God by the prophets in the following passage, that "Joshua" did not give us the right view of the Sabbath "day" ready since God made the world. Joshua failed to recognize that God had prevented them by "oath" from entering the Sabbath "day" by making them keep the seventh day of the week, which was for 40 years with Manna half a day too late to enter the Sabbath near Jerusalem, when the Sabbath falls half a day before the seventh day of the week in Jerusalem.

So God’s rest is there for people to enter, but those who first heard this good news failed to enter because they disobeyed God. So God set another time for entering his rest, and that time is today. God announced this through David much later in the words already quoted: “Today when you hear his voice, don’t harden your hearts.” Now if Joshua had succeeded in giving them this rest, God would not have spoken about another day of rest still to come. (Hebrews 4:6-8 NLT)

The days of the week during the 40 years in the desert were from morning to morning, as revealed in the following passage where they are given two portions of Manna on the previous day because there will be no Manna tomorrow. Importantly, the bad news that there will be no quail tomorrow if the next day begins in the "evening" is not mentioned, because they will eat quail in the "evening" before Manna is the first thing they will not have the next day. The quail not mentioned clearly shows the day begins in the morning.

On the sixth day, they gathered twice as much as usual—four quarts for each person instead of two. Then all the leaders of the community came and asked Moses for an explanation. He told them, “This is what the LORD commanded: Tomorrow will be a day of complete rest, a holy Sabbath day set apart for the LORD. So bake or boil as much as you want today, and set aside what is left for tomorrow.” So they put some aside until morning, just as Moses had commanded. And in the morning the leftover food was wholesome and good, without maggots or odor. Moses said, “Eat this food today, for today is a Sabbath day dedicated to the LORD. There will be no food on the ground today. (Exodus 16:22-25 NLT)

Hello, brother! Most Christians believe the Holy Spirit is able to give guidance.
