While there are various means for the Holy Spirit to bring to mind God's truth I wouldn't place any significance on anything that does not align with scripture. Whatever part of Forrest Gump that triggers revelation needs to be checked with scripture to prove accuracy. God is not constrained to speak only from scripture but any truth must line up with scripture which is the authority or it's a falsehood, or at the very least questionable.Truth is carried in lots of vehicles. To make the suggestion that the story of Job is not an historical account but rather a story does not for one moment take away from the truth that the story carries.
Forest Gump - which many of you will have seen, is a story, nobody says that it is a true story of history, however it is a story and it carries some truth, and some of the truth carried in the story of Forest Gump is the same truth of the story of Job.
Please note, that I am not put the the movie on a par with scripture. The account of Job is received as authoritative scripture, however I am saying that God is not constrained only to speak in the pages of the Bible.
Pray that we may have the grace to stand with those who suffer through no fault of their own. Let us all resolve to be friends who help in time of need.
