This was one of the works he did. He made sacrifices for their atonement. Not that, that was an unrighteous work but a work none the less. Can the blood of bulls and goats save?

I agree that they were a thorn in his side, all but the youngest, who kept his mouth shut waiting for his elders to give Job wisdom. When they didn't Elihu spoke up.
Job knew he hadn't sinned a sin unto death, and he knew he needed a intercessor, he said someone to stand between him and God. By faith he believed that Redeemer was coming.

What is the sin unto death sir if it is already written cursed is anyone who does not do all that is written?

In that day any sin would have been a sin unto death

Crying out to GOD is not something that is overlooked by GOD. In fact those tears are in HIS PRESENCE but there are other "natures" that yes, have to be swallowed up.

Be still and know that HE is GOD and is sovereign and all things are under HIS SOVEREIGN control is sufficient in our "season of Job"

GOD simply removed the hedge of HIS PROTECTION and Satan was allowed temporary free reign

heres the thing there are many who do not know their right from their left. I do. And I will do what I was called to do

The words of Job are prophetic

Many in the last day who do not know Christ will do these very things but maybe one who is hearing this conversation now will take another look at Job understand Isaiah 8 and seek to know HIM now

It is very easy to have faith when all things are going well
Another things when all things appear to be out of control

It is then that we have to walk by mature and steadfast faith directed in and on HIM not fully understanding and seeing where our feet are taking us
But trusting that He who began the good work in us will bring it to completion provided we remain in HIM and do not go out from the "city of" REFUGE which GOD has provided in HIS SON

That was the big difference and that GOD acknowledged which is why GOD told Job that he would pray for his friends who did not speak well of GOD

His friend's had a complete misunderstanding of Who God is. (they had askewed beliefs that were brought to light) The youngest held back and had a bit clearer view altho not accurate either. Job had to have a sacrificial fire for them. That's the role of a priest in offering up prayers for those who are in error. So Job's actions and God's commendation to His Way was acknowledged.

Back to the beginning of Job we see him doing that for his children as was his way. However being stripped of all his talents and having replacement after God sanctified is the key to understanding. The fact remains that at the end of the book the only significant change was that the daughters were given their own inheritance. All else remained the same but yet in God.
