Hopefully your implication is not the erroneous equation of evolution to atheism (yet another strawman).

Is it just more or does this sound like the fallacy that animals can control evolution?

Ok, I haven't read through much of the thread but has anyone mentioned that pleasure from sex is only experienced by a few animals. All of these animals seem to be more intelligent, and thus it is possible that as an animal became intelligent enough to ignore its instincts, the ones that thought it was fun reproduced more (since there was a lack of birth control).

It seems like a pretty obvious answer to me, since evolution is based on who can have the most offspring, the more the incentive to have more sex, the more likely the mutation that gives that incentive will be passed on.
But i'm waiting to hear, "the big bang didn't have pleasure, so how did it evolve."
:)

Well said. :)

Instinct, genetically coded, is the driving force in the animal kingdom. Eating habits, sex drive, migratory patterns, nesting, hunting, predator evasion, habitats and the like, are all the result of instinct. Desire for sex, beyond the instinctual level, is limited to animals of higher intelligence.

I agree with you, but you got to remember that God is the tailor of such instincts that are exibited in the organisms.

Thats true that you cant desire of what you have no idea about. But, why do you think people yearn for sex? Their body desires it. Why do you think people mastrubate and reach [bless and do not curse][bless and do not curse][bless and do not curse][bless and do not curse][bless and do not curse][bless and do not curse]? Because they desire it.
And [bless and do not curse][bless and do not curse][bless and do not curse][bless and do not curse][bless and do not curse][bless and do not curse] is a byproduct of their desire. How can a byproduct come before desire which you said is not possible to have before you knew it? According to your theory then, there would be no start for an [bless and do not curse][bless and do not curse][bless and do not curse][bless and do not curse][bless and do not curse][bless and do not curse]. Yet, you see [bless and do not curse][bless and do not curse][bless and do not curse][bless and do not curse][bless and do not curse][bless and do not curse] and desire for [bless and do not curse][bless and do not curse][bless and do not curse][bless and do not curse][bless and do not curse][bless and do not curse] in this world.

Desire is irrelevant. [bless and do not curse][bless and do not curse][bless and do not curse][bless and do not curse][bless and do not curse][bless and do not curse] presents an evolutionary advantage, which is why [bless and do not curse][bless and do not curse][bless and do not curse][bless and do not curse][bless and do not curse][bless and do not curse] evolved. Alright, how about this (And try actually reading the post this time):

[bless and do not curse][bless and do not curse][bless and do not curse][bless and do not curse][bless and do not curse][bless and do not curse] evolved as an incentive for reproducing. The [bless and do not curse][bless and do not curse][bless and do not curse][bless and do not curse][bless and do not curse][bless and do not curse] itself must have come first, as evolution does not happen simply because one desires a change to occur. That thought is, at the least, preposterous.

Colossians said:

Yes, it did. Anyone who knows that desire for something which does not exist yet is not only a conundrum, but that evolution does not work on individualistic desires, comes to the conclusion the [bless and do not curse][bless and do not curse][bless and do not curse][bless and do not curse][bless and do not curse][bless and do not curse] must have come first.

So why don't u stop with the "Hear no evil, see no evil, speak no evil" routine and address people's responses to your OP.

Didnt asexual reproduction take place accoring to evolution? Thats called reproducing too and it reproduces far more offsprings than sexual reproduction.

That means organisms on this planet have the power over they anatomy and mutate accordingly to their needs. Then why cant we mutate so that our cells dont get older? Why cant we mutate so that we may never die?

Pleasure is a good incentive to reproduce. If you don't enjoy reproducing, you are less likely to be willing to invest the time and energy to reproduce (ESPECIALLY for a female, because females always invest VASTLY more time and energy reproducing than males). [bless and do not curse][bless and do not curse][bless and do not curse][bless and do not curse][bless and do not curse][bless and do not curse] ensures a species' survival.

Asexual reproduction is "crude" reproduction, that is, it produces lots and lots of genetically identical offspring, which is good for exploiting short-lasting resources, like Aphids.

But asexual reproduction exposes the organism to environmental changes because of its low genetic variation. For example, if a disease hits a population, that population would be eradicated because there is no individuals with the right genetic variation to cope with the environmental change.

Sexual reproduction solves this problem, by encouraging genetic variation amongst the offpring population via various processes leading up to fertilization, which tranfer the genetic material of two different individuals and mix them together in the offpring. Heck, sexual reproduction is so effective that even bacteria (which normally reproduces asexually) has a similar process of gene tranfer.

http://www.life.uiuc.edu/micro/316/topics/genetic-exchange/exchange/exchange.html

This, for example, would allow one bacterium cell to tranfer its antibiotic resistance to another, increase the population's chance of survival.

Wrong. Desire is irrelevant. It is natural selection that decides which trait is an evolutionary advantage and which is not. Natural selection dictates that if you don't reproduce, you die. If you don't adapt, you die. Organisms that evolved sexual reproduction survived natural selection because it answer both evolutionary challenges.

For some basic info on Natural Selection, read:

Sexual pleasure appart from procreation would also help keep the male around thus ensuring the greater liklihood of his/her offspring making it to maturity so they could reproduce, etc.

read what I said please. Those organisms that have sex more create a differential reproductive advantage in their favour, hence the genes that code for the things that they do take hold and spread throughout the population. this is absolutely elementary evolutionary theory and I already explained it.

This should be glaringly obvious. Incentive to reproduce. I'd say the [bless and do not curse][bless and do not curse][bless and do not curse][bless and do not curse][bless and do not curse][bless and do not curse] came before the desire for one (what does that even mean; "desire for [bless and do not curse][bless and do not curse][bless and do not curse][bless and do not curse][bless and do not curse][bless and do not curse]"? ), just as the egg did in fact come before the chicken.
remember that we already have a justification for the evolution of pleasure, through food or other external events. all [bless and do not curse][bless and do not curse][bless and do not curse][bless and do not curse][bless and do not curse][bless and do not curse] is is a massive firing off of the pleasure centre (or it may have been at first, and then developed into something even more pleasurable). "desire for pleasure" was there first for other reasons, then the organism which came along which was "pleasurable" hence was automatically desired.

Did it?

Yes.

As many people have explained to you. Why you claim the evolutionists are "running around in circles" when you seem to be the one with your fingers in your ears yelling “la la la I’m not listening” I do not know.

Let me try and explain it again;

Sexual [bless and do not curse][bless and do not curse][bless and do not curse][bless and do not curse][bless and do not curse][bless and do not curse] evolved first. Actually it is not true to claim the desire for it evolved at all in any strict biological sense. Desire is a psychological state of seeking pleasurable stimuli. [bless and do not curse][bless and do not curse][bless and do not curse][bless and do not curse][bless and do not curse][bless and do not curse] is a pleasurable stimuli by its very nature (Unless of course you suffer from the condition of blanophobia, in which case the male [bless and do not curse][bless and do not curse][bless and do not curse][bless and do not curse][bless and do not curse][bless and do not curse] is an intensely unpleasant experience). The pleasure stimuli of [bless and do not curse][bless and do not curse][bless and do not curse][bless and do not curse][bless and do not curse][bless and do not curse] no more evolved separately from [bless and do not curse][bless and do not curse][bless and do not curse][bless and do not curse][bless and do not curse][bless and do not curse] itself than did the pleasure stimuli connected with eating, that is a fallacy demonstrating a lack of understanding of both biology and psychology.

I have no doubt you will ignore the explanation or falsely represent it, but then it is more for the benefit of other readers than some one who has already made up his mind and has no intention of looking at alternative views to his own.
