Forgiven? How so? Paul repented but the churches haven't yet repented. You are very wrong here.Super! "I was shown mercy because I acted in ignorance and unbelief."
For this reason, the churches are also forgiven their imperfections.
Thanks for covering it for me. I need not add anything more.
You seem to be avoiding the question. How can churches be gifted by God is they all teach different doctrine? How? Answer that please.
Im not grumbling, im asking a question, one you refuse to answer. Look, i didnt start this topic, continuationists did in another thread. Go tell them they are judging too.James 5:9 Do not grumble against one another, brethren, lest you be condemned. Behold, the Judge is standing at the door!
James 4:12
There is only one Lawgiver and Judge, the One who is able to save and destroy. But who are you to judge your neighbor?
1 Corinthians 4:5
Therefore judge nothing before the proper time; wait until the Lord comes. He will bring to light what is hidden in darkness and will expose the motives of men's hearts. At that time each will receive his praise from God.
We judge doctrines by the scriptures, and much of what is being taught in ,modern Charismatic Movement fails on that judgement!Im not grumbling, im asking a question, one you refuse to answer. Look, i didnt start this topic, continuationists did in another thread. Go tell them they are judging too.

How about judging false doctrines and practices then within the Church?Proverbs 17:27 He who has knowledge spares his words,
And a man of understanding is of a calm spirit.

Im calm and i do spare my words. I do however want some answers. Please answer or leave my thread, thank you.Proverbs 17:27 He who has knowledge spares his words,

Cherry picking scriptures isnt helping your case any. Please stop spamming the thread, just answer the questions.Matthew 6:14-15
For if you forgive others their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you, but if you do not forgive others their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses. (Not just those who repent)
Luke 6:37
“Judge not, and you will not be judged; condemn not, and you will not be condemned; forgive, and you will be forgiven;(Not just those who repent)
Colossians 3:13
Bearing with one another and, if one has a complaint against another, forgiving each other; as the Lord has forgiven you, so you also must forgive.(Not just those who repent)
Notice how continuationists ask questions of cessationists but when the roles are reversed they accuse you of judging? God hates unbalanced scales of judgment. How about judging false doctrines and practices then within the Church?
That’s because their theology and Biblical understanding is often lacking.Notice how continuationists ask questions of cessationists but when the roles are reversed they accuse you of judging? God hates unbalanced scales of judgment.
Yes the Apostle Paul wants us to grow up, i agree. That’s because their theology and Biblical understanding is often lacking.
They cannot compete Biblically. Their pastors promote experience over sound doctrine. So like Paul said, babes drinking milk, never moving to meat. It’s static and doesn’t promote growth. The people of God are growing in faith and knowledge and 30 years later - more milk for continuists. A diet of milk for the rest of their lives. Odd thing is they LOVE milk. They substitute experiences for growth of faith. Growth of anything internal. They are never looking inward. Milk. Milk. Milk.
It’s like a lowball insult when one cannot think of anything to say or vulgar language use because a person doesn’t have a vocabulary to express themselves.
If there was no judging of sound doctrine or not, there would have been no Reformation, and we all would have remained Catholic!Cherry picking scriptures isnt helping your case any. Please stop spamming the thread, just answer the questions.
Many Charismatics are spoonfed by their teachers not the scriptures themselves, but so called fresh and new revelations from God in faith, healing, signs and wonders, etc.!That’s because their theology and Biblical understanding is often lacking.

As God’s Word says “iron sharpens iron”. But if there is no iron. No sharpening.

I totally agree. The perceived value is an experience over God’s Word and that’s why they fall for it. They have no Biblical basis to stand in truth because they aren’t taught solid theology. Many Charismatics are spoonfed by their teachers not the scriptures themselves, but so called fresh and new revelations from God in faith, healing, signs and wonders, etc.!
The main problem is that their Shepherds are like Jesus warned, blind ones leading them !I totally agree. The perceived value is an experience over God’s Word and that’s why they fall for it. They have no Biblical basis to stand in truth because they aren’t taught solid theology.
But in a way, the person puts themselves in that position by not seeking first to understand God and His Word, build faith and THEN strengthen the things God has given us.
It’s like expecting someone to be successful in high school with out having first completed the grades before it. We BUILD our faith.
Skipping grades doesn’t mean you have the knowledge level to be successful. It’s a short cut. A work around that doesn’t end well.
Good point. If there was no judging of sound doctrine or not, there would have been no Reformation, and we all would have remained Catholic!
