unless you have many people around claiming that they have the holy spirit; then you have many wit the holy spirit but who think that 'their' holy spirit is wrong.
If everyones running around claiming their holy spirit is better than everyone elses' holy spirit, then the holy spirit becomes pretty unholy.
this is why we need clear cut and straightforward logical answers that apply this a real-world setting all the time, no matter what.
So, what does the holy spirit say about my questions? My holy spirit can say one thing, but CIC's holy spirit may say another thing.
the holy spirit can contradict itself.
Which is why we need real answers; if we al assumed we all knew all truth bc of aid holy spirit, we realy wouldn't know anything at all; we'd all make assumptions we all have perfect knowledge of an imperfect world without truely examining all the facts.
but its here on life (not after life) where we need to be able to distinguish fact from opinions, etc, etc, etc.
I'm sure God wants us to distinguish fact from opinion as well.
How can someone be a christian and not agree with the Gospel? Its a contradiction in terms. As revelation says whoever takes away from the words of the book let him be accursed with the plaugues of the earth. people are forming God into who they want him to be(idolism) rather than what he truly is. That is dishonest and hypocritical. Jesus was very clear about doing the will of his Father. Your either with Christs words or you are against them, as Jesus said "you are either with me or against me". If they have a problem with those verses they have a problem with God's word, not other christians. Its quite clear that mpok has a big problem with God's word and considers the words of the prophets just dead people. That is not what the early christians believed or the apostles or Jesus himself. no one is special where the word of the God or the law dosen't apply to them,, in fact by calling yourself a christian would make you even more susceptable to the law because we must be an example to others and have the responsbility to preach the Gospel to others.
good thing im concerned with truth, period.
no flesh, no spirit, just, truth.
truth and facts, regardless of anything else.
just truth, and fact.
There are many different denominations of Christianity and this is due to the many different interpretations of Scripture. The individuals that have interpreted Scripture come from different backgrounds, they have different personalities, and I am sure they all thought God was speaking to themIs there only one right denomination? If so, how do you know? Obviously, complete contradiction of the Bible is a sign that interpretation may be flawed but what are the requirements for having a "true and accurate" representation of the Scripture?
*Remember, if an individual accepts the verses you defend shouldn't you also advocate slavery? (since cultural contexts play no relevance in your opinion)
denonimations didn't come till after 1500 years after Christ died. And the liberal non-biblical view is generally only around 30 years old when people starting trying to find ways to justify sin. All the early christians with the exception of some heretical groups all had one core truth. orthodoxy dosen't contradict itself and the core fundamentals always stay the same. You couldn't all of a sudden say Christ never raised from the dead, or was never crucified and then claim to really be christian. Same as when people condone sexual immorality and divorce when it is clearly stated otherwise in the Gospel.
God never condoned slavery. But for people who did have slaves it was taught to treat them well. Slavery in biblical times was also different than what people would think it is today. Most people link slavery with images of black slavery. Also God freed the hebrews from slavery.
The scriptures do not reveal "everything," but then again, that is why God gave us the Holy Spirit, that which leads us unto all truth (that is if you have the Holy Spirit).
Based on your posts I somehow doubt that, considering all Christians know that truth only comes from Christ
And what do you mean "no spirit"?
Therefore I tell you, people will be forgiven for every sin and blasphemy, but blasphemy against the Spirit will not be forgiven. Whoever speaks a word against the Son of Man will be forgiven, but whoever speaks against the Holy Spirit will not be forgiven, either in this age or in the age to come. - Matt 12:22-32
"I am the way the TRUTH and the life"
If your word deviates from the Gospel then it is not truth.

Im sure he should just admit that divorce isnt always bad, and that it is okay for women to have careers of their own even if its outside of a domestic enviornment.
hes not doing well justifing much at this point though.
I'm kinda sick to the stomach thinking he's actually justifying biblical slavery....
+1slavery in biblical times different from slaveyr now!????????????????????!?!?!?!
lol
nooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo!
Its the EXACT same!
Children forced into forced labor and sex acts happens now JUST as it happened in biblical times. Its the exact same;
