I have nothing against those who do! It is certainly allowable by scripture. It is just me. :)
I unfortunately, have binged drank too much. Thankfully, it hasn't done extensive damage to my liver or kidneys. I should consider that a blessing.

I have no idea. You could put all the alcohol I have imbibed in my 71 years and put it in a 2-liter bottle. Most of that was when I was in single digits, taking sips from Daddy's beer or taking a shot of Nyquil when I had the sniffles. :swoon:
My mother died when I was a kid due to alcoholism. I resolved that I would never drink. Just never started.
I agree that you should be proud of keeping away from alcohol. Personally, I think having a drink from time to time is not a problem if you control yourself and not get drunk. However, I have a friend that can’t do that, and he stopped drinking completely. Here in Poland, a shot of vodka was almost required when visiting friends, but that has changed, at least where I live. If you refuse to drink, most people will praise for it and offer coffee or tea. It is different at parties, but people who don’t drink don’t go unless it is a wedding.

Not when you factor in addiction.
True. I can drink several shots of plain vodka and not feel drunk, but my brother can only have a few beers and feel and act very intoxicated.

Beer, wine, mead, strong ale, and barley wine
have a lower alcohol amount.

So vodka is more dangerous than them.

What about whiskey and tequila?
They have a strong flavor and other qualities that
give your brain and body signals to stop drinking.

Vodka is also more dangerous than them.
So that explains it. Now I have something to blame for my behavior at times. Not my fault, It's the vodka. I'm telling you, it's dangerous.

Vodka used to be my "go to" hard drink, due to the lighter taste. But I really don't have the desire to drink anymore. Yet, I do love them margaritas at Texas Roadhouse Grill on Cinco de Mayo, with the tequila shot. I could only handle one though. It holds me for the year.

I adore vodka. Yummy.
You are hilarious ^_^. Thank you for that positive view of a very fine liquor. I myself truly enjoy vodka the most (tequila is second favorite) but only have it once in a while. Cheers, my friend

I could never drink straight tequila. I do like margaritas and a tequila sunrise though!

Cheers!

For some reason Jimmy Buffet keeps ringing in my ears,

Wasting away in Margaritaville.
Lookin for my lost shaker of salt.
Some people claim that there is a woman to blame, but I know, it's nobody's fault.

But then he gets a clue and says, could be his fault, and ends with my fault.

Yeah, that's right Jimbo. You should have stopped at the second Margarita.

I'm still blaming the Margarita though.

If you ever get to Mexico, they have all sort of flavored tequilas. The coffee flavored tequila straight up is beyond fantastic .
