Your found paradigms aren't worth 20 cents if you don't get out there and do something with them.
The point is that the prophet doesn't just "go out there" and do it. He KNOWS by direct revelation when Jesus has SENT him to go out and do it. Let's take an example from Acts - after all that textbook is supposed to be our evangelism handbook:
"Paul and his companions traveled throughout the region of Phrygia and Galatia, having been kept by the Holy Spirit from preaching the word in the province of Asia.
7When they came to the border of Mysia, they tried to enter Bithynia, but the Spirit of Jesus would not allow them to.
8So they passed by Mysia and went down to Troas.
9During the night Paul had a vision of a man of Macedonia standing and begging him, “Come over to Macedonia and help us.”
10After Paul had seen the vision, we got ready at once to leave for Macedonia, concluding that God had called us to preach the gospel to them." (Acts 16).
THAT's the paradigm. He
SENDS. And what about healing the sick? Should we all just "get out there and do it" ? In Luke 9 and 10, Jesus
SENT the disciples out to heal the sick. Was it effective? Quite so. Now imagine the disciples had self-initiated that endeavor. What then would have been the likelihood of success? Good luck with that approach.
I'm not saying God will never heal or save on other terms. He is determined to have a church after all. But what I want to see is revival, I want to see a MAXIMUM of conversions and healings. And such requires fidelity to the biblical paradigm, even if it doesn't yield the sort of instant results that you seem to want.
