Biological structure, molecule with properties that allow for movement or for chemical reactions that cause either itself or another molecule to change... my terminology varies by case.
Nah, you have to understand, modern cells have already gone through more than 3 billion years of evolution. During that time, cells have become extremely specialized in their components. In evolution, structures develop from ones that already exist, changing/expanding/narrowing/improving functionality over generations. Hence why our gastrointestinal tract and our respiratory tract share an orifice; the function of a structure that already existed expanded to have more functions. The same applies to organelles and other cell structures.
Organelles is the plural, and we have observed significant change in some of their functions in bacterial evolution. You act as if there aren't organism currently existing that don't have these structures, and that we have never observed such populations developing them. You'd be wrong.
