Yes, I know. I'm PCUSA. I attended seminary, but was working on my doctorate in theology, not going into ministry. Some students went four years, to better handle their internship.
No, I am definitely not a Calvinist, though I translated two published volumes of his sermons. I would identify myself as a process theologian.A Presbyterian who is actually a Calvinist, imagine that! I was raised Presbyterian but never took Predestination seriously until I studied under Heiko Oberman.
Yes, the certainly do. The Center for Process Studies is at the Claremont School of Theology, Claremont, CA, which is essentially a Methodist seminary. However, there are also major process people from other churches as well.Ah, the United Methodists excel at that.
This is a matter of reasonably dividing one's time. Do you have any idea, the number of 1 hour+ long videos people I debate toss at me? The number of written sources that exceed 10 pages? Since these aren't formal debates, why hold them to the formal debate standard of reading and watching all the source material of the opponent? Remember, we are also often debating on multiple subjects in multiple threads with multiple people. It is not uncommon for me to post in 10 different threads on a very active basis at a time. Eventually, it becomes physically impossible to look at every source thrown at me, even if I exclude obvious bad sources, like Answers in Genesis. That all depends upon how theologically minded he is, doesn't it? Not everything can be summed up in a single paragraph.

Same difference as Forest says: "stupid is as stupid does".Oh, baloney. He went to jail because he was a crook and guilty of tax evasion.
My son wants to take a five year computer science program. What advantage is that degree over a four year engineering program? He already has a years worth of college credit in high school and his scholarships last for 4 years. So in four years he can get a five year degree.Correct. Most mainline churches require their pastors to have master's degrees. In the Presbyterian Church that is a three year program.

No, absolutely not. We did and do not all go to Claremont. I didn't.But they all go to Claremont.
Do you know Roland Faber?
What on earth does this have to do with the discussion at hand?My son wants to take a five year computer science program. What advantage is that degree over a four year engineering program? Nothing, I just wanted to ask him a question just like people ask me 50 million, billion, quadrillion questions all the time non stop. What on earth does this have to do with the discussion at hand?

Hovind, a scientist?OH, how typical.....attack the scientist...forget the science.

He does, my cut and paste is not working right now or I would give you the quote. All of Christianity is based on becoming like Jesus. I did not put "Jesus is the pinnacle of evolution" in the title because it would have shut down the discussion.

Collins - Theistic Evolution is clearly deterministic as apposed to non deterministic random events. Evolutionists universally claim that natural selection is anything but random and very deterministic. God had a plan for us - humans from the very beginning of the universe. Adam and Eve were the first humans 6,000 years ago. Adam was the first husband and Eve was the first wife, they were the first man and women, before them you had male and female. It would take a whole book to discuss all that happened in the Garden of Eden 6,000 years ago. All backed with rock solid scientific evidence. You may not understand the difference between theistic and atheistic evolution but that maybe because when you scan the brand of atheists there are areas of their brain that do not work on the same level as theists. Of course the reverse also shows that atheists have analogical areas of their brain that light up more then the theists. If you wish to know Collins' stance on mainstream biology, check my sig.
On that note: you still owe me an answer to the question on wheter or not you agree with that view of biology that Collins expresses.
Yes and I have two hours a day to answer questions. There are limits though because I can not spend all day dealing with the usual pratt questions (point refuted a thousand times). People need to come up with something new and different that we have not already gone over a million billion times. If you start topics like this one you might expect a few questions mate!
