Wow, sounds like an amazing time, Bill. It kills me to think I'll never be able to see Phish live. Do you think there's any possibility they are recording this last concert in some way?
I think they are making a DVD of Coventry. I heard a rumor about that. They just released a DVD of IT, which was last year's festival, sans all the mud. I wasnt there but I think I'm going to buy it so it can hold me over until the Coventry DVD comes out ^_^

Oh, and what do the arrows next to some of the songs on the setlist mean?
-> means that there was an extended jam out of the song and that it went into another song without really stopping.

> means that there was maybe a little jam but they pretty much went from one song straight into another. (edit: it looks like they didn't do any of these....makes sense as all the jams were super long, some even became their own songs)

Nothing means that they stopped when the song was done, then started a new song fresh.

Did you watch the PBS special on IT? It was pretty cool; I'd like to get the DVD. And the Coventry DVD is sounding pretty good, too.

Ah, that's sorta what I thought. I'd seen those arrows on the setlists of the Live Phish albums, and had wondered about it.

No I missed it! Hopefully I can find it somewhere. I purchased the Coventry shows today, they should be available for download tomorrow or Thursday....I'm excited! Concerts are awesome but sometimes you can't hear everything, and with Phish, you want to hear everything :).

There was a review of the last show in my local paper today, I am sorry I missed it, sounded like a great show.....
I bet you would have loved it! If I'm not mistaken, you have a motorcycle? That would have come in handy in the 17 hours of traffic :)

Ah you beat me to it Jordan! I have downloaded about half of Coiventry so far. Its great! They have a great deal where you can download the Soundcheck, Saturday, and Sunday for only $20. Its about 10 CDs worth of music! I think the individual shows are $12 each, if you can only afford that definitely get Sunday. It was better IMO and there are band speeches, Trey starts to cry, it is very emotional...great great music. Definitely one of their better shows, although its hard to compare because its in a league of its own.

I was poking about on the phish.com site a bit, and looked at a couple of reviews of the Coventry show. Apparently quite a few people were less than impressed with Trey's playing. You hear about any of that, or think so yourself, Bill?

It all began on Thursday night at Camden. The first set, apparently, was amazing. Then in the second setm they just weren't up to par. Especially Trey. This funk carried over to the first night of Coventry - Saturday. There were some fantastic songs (AC/DC Bag, and I loved the new take on "Stash" and "Free") but yeah Trey was subpar. I think he was in a bad mood. I think he knew that deep down, a lot of the fans were angry at him for breaking up the band. No denyig that. He also said its the first time he's been nervous at a Phish show. This man has been doing this for 20 years, and he is nervous at his last show - it definitely affected his playing. During Guyute, Page actually had to do a lot of Trey's parts because Trey was just in this funk. Sunday night rocked though - he was back on target, a whole turnaround. One of the best shows I've ever seen. It ranks up there with 12/1/03 and 12/231/02. He was on fire and the band was back to "normal." Very very emotional too. So, if you're not a huge fan, but you like their music, go for the Sunday show.
