the movie is nothing in comparison to the real thing. its so amazing on broadway. every time i saw it (ive seen it three times) i was on the edge of my seat. phantom of the opera is THE best musical of all time. hands down.

ive never seen it on stage but oh man, if its half as good as the movie, i cant wait to see it!!!

No, I can imagine how Sarah Brightmans voice is when she's done! (she usually plays as Christine)

...Sarah Brightman hasn't played Christine in years and years, well over a decade. I'm not sure who the Broadway Christine is, but the current National Tour Christine is Marie Danvers with Beth Southard as the alternate (like Marie, LOVE Beth).

I liked the movie well enough but the stage version surpasses it mightily.
