I would like to ask more questions but about the New Testament.A lot of it beautiful but some problems.
In Matthew it gives the genealogy of Jesus but then goes on to describe the genealogy of Joseph who of course was not the father of Jesus.
If you compare this with the genealogy found in Luke then it becomes clear that both writers are stressing that Jesus is the son of God. Luke ends his genealogy by calling Adam the son of God but, why? Just as Adam had no earthly father or mother: so too did Jesus have no earthly father or mother: therefore Mary's conception was supernatural as well as Jesus' birth.

Matthew Ch.5V22.Whoever is angry with his brother or calls his brother a worthless fool is in danger of going to the fire of hell.
What a drastic punishment for a minor verbal offence.
If you read the context carefully Jesus begins by warning us not judge others if we wish to avoid judgment: therefore if we call our brother a fool or are angry with him for no good reason we are being unjust in our judgment.

Also I don't believe in the existence of hell.
Why would God create hell?
Solomon tells us in Proverbs that God made all things for a purpose: even the wicked for the day of evil. And the twenty four elders in Revelation tell us that God made all things for His pleasure. And if you read Revelation carefully you'll see that the lake of fire (not hell) is the final destination for unbelievers and the wicked: even hell and death are thrown in the lake of fire.

V27.Teaching about adultery.
Admiring an attractive woman is normal physiology.
Putting the thoughts into action could be sin or even criminal Also plucking your eye out or cutting your hand off is not a Godly thing to do.
V31? I believe that there are other good reasons for divorce
.
Of course Jesus knew physical attraction is normal: He made us! Attraction was not what He was discussing specifically: this is concerning unlawful attraction. If Jesus = God and He recommended plucking out an eye or cutting off a limb to avoid sin, then why do you who are but dust and ashes question Him? This is Jesus telling us that drastic measures must be taken to uproot sin from our lives whether we talk this command literally or figuratively: He makes it clear that He doesn't want us in the lake of fire.

V43 Love your enemies .Does this include Hitler and his psychopathic mob?
This means love all of your enemies not just pick and choose. After all God loves even those of us who are caught in sin because He hopes that we turn to Him in love be for its too late. This doesn't mean that justice is cast aside, only that God loves us when we fall short and bestows mercy so that we might repent and sin no more.

Acts Ch.5 Ananias and Sapphira.
I think that Peter behaved in a very unchristian way.
According to what standards? The story is clear that the Holy Spirit did not kill him but, the other two for lying against the Holy Spirit.

1Timothy Ch.2 Paul says I do not permit a woman to teach or to have authority on a man,she must remain silent.
I believe that God created men and women equal.
Any help please.
Paul is simply emphasizing the principal found in Genesis where the husband rules over the wife: Paul is emphasizing order and a chain of command. Paul does make it clear that it I he speaking and not God: therefore one must see Paul's actions as a measure against the planting of the seeds of rebellion.

In Matthew it gives the genealogy of Jesus but then goes on to describe the genealogy of Joseph who of course was not the father of Jesus.

What is the problem, exactly, for you with this?

Matthew Ch.5V22.Whoever is angry with his brother or calls his brother a worthless fool is in danger of going to the fire of hell.
What a drastic punishment for a minor verbal offence.

But it seems God doesn't agree. Who knows better? You or God?

The big problem with you and I accusing God of "drastic punishment" is that we aren't in a good place to judge the appropriateness of God's reaction to our sin. We are steeped in sin. It's our daily, and often cherished, companion. We have a familiarity and comfort with sin that God does not. How, then, can we rightly judge how God should react to our evil deeds? Who sees the true nature of our sin better, God or us? It seems very evident to me that God's view of our sin must be far, far clearer. And so His punishment of it, while harsh to us, is actually exactly the proper response.

Also I don't believe in the existence of hell.
Why would God create hell?

Two things:

1. Your choosing not to believe in Hell doesn't make Hell disappear. However strongly you deny that it exists, Hell remains, waiting to receive those God judges His enemies and deserving of eternal punishment.

2. Hell is God's just punishment of the unrepentant and rebellious wicked. Hell demonstrates to us just how vile our sin is; for if our sin warrants eternal, conscious torment in a lake of fire, our sin must be horrendous indeed! We see, too, in God's punishment of wickedness in Hell just how different His standard of righteousness is from our own. Our reflex to condemn God as too severe in His punishment of our sin reveals our sinfulness, not His severity. His punishment of our sin in Hell gives us an indication of just how evil is the sin with which we are often so at ease.

V27.Teaching about adultery.
Admiring an attractive woman is normal physiology.

Admiring a woman's beauty is not lusting after her in your heart. Thinking about sexual relations with her is.

Also plucking your eye out or cutting your hand off is not a Godly thing to do.

This is the way Jesus communicated how desperately we should desire to avoid sin. He wasn't actually recommending self-mutilation.

V31? I believe that there are other good reasons for divorce.

Well, who is God? You? Or God?

V43 Love your enemies .Does this include Hitler and his psychopathic mob?

Why wouldn't it? Do you think you are so much better in the eyes of a perfectly holy God than they? If you do, you think far too much of yourself and far too little of God.

Acts Ch.5 Ananias and Sapphira.
I think that Peter behaved in a very unchristian way.

And who sees better the sin of Ananias and his wife? You or God? Why is lying to the Holy Spirit such a minor offense in your mind?

1Timothy Ch.2 Paul says I do not permit a woman to teach or to have authority on a man,she must remain silent.
I believe that God created men and women equal.
Any help please.

They're equal? In what way? They aren't physically equal. They aren't psychologically equal, either.

Is a general in an army superior to a private? In rank, authority and responsibility, yes. But in his essential humanness, no. So, too, in the spiritual hierarchy God has established. Men are set above women in God's hierarchy, not to lord it over them, but to love, lead and protect them. Men are not, however, any greater in God's eyes in their basic humanness than women. All humans are created in the "imago dei" and as such possess equal intrinsic value whatever their sex.

I believe in some parts of the Bible but not the parts that insults God. I am a Christian.

But, then, you are simply making God after your own preferences and ideas. Who, then, is God in your thinking? That would be you, it seems to me.

A very unhelpful answer.
Genesis Ch.22.
Abraham heard voices from God telling him to murder Isaac.Would Isaac ever be able to believe that his father was sane and what would they talk about on the way home ?
God did not say murder....he said offer a sacrifice of worship, prefiguring the offering of the Son of His love.
Sin causes death....

I believe that God is a God of love and not the barbaric creature described in the O.T.
God is God in all 66 books....Jesus is the God of jn3:16-18...
And the Same God who destroyed the world of the ungodly with the flood.
To deny this is to deny God's word.

I find that hard to believe, but ok, whatever. Have you ever lied ?
What I'm clearly getting at is that all of us have behaved at times in an ungodly way, and yet God can still use us as he did David for his glory and will. So what makes you qualified to be his judge ?
The intellect that God gave me.

Exactly. If he's going to believe in God, he better believe in the God of the Bible, not the conception of God he gets from the New Testament alone.
Jesus taught that the scriptures cannot be broken.
Jesus taught before Abraham was...I AM.

You are utterly deceived for if the Bible is not God's Word then, it follows you have the book which contains His Word. However you do not and the Bible is the Word of God which you repeatedly quote from to make your cases.

Well I find describing God as a barbaric creature. Which he must be, according to his view of the old testament
Completely unnecessary and misinformed so there you go. I was just making the point that if he was in the situation of the enslaved Israelite's he might have a different opinion but there you go We all have a opinion.
I know what you mean, h however we are not to live by "opinion" but rather by every word the comes from God...2tim3:16....mt 4:4

Just as Adam had no earthly father or mother: so too did Jesus have no earthly father or mother: therefore Mary's conception was supernatural as well as Jesus' birth.

WHAT?!?!? Who was Miriam then if not Yeshua's true mother? Are you Roman Catholic?

God is almighty and if He says, your sins are forgiven, that is an end of the matter.

I can only address your issues with the crucifixion by addressing some of the issues I see with your understanding.
The part your missing above is repentance. Repentance is absolutely necessary for forgiveness.
You may ask, why do we need to repent, why aren't we simply forgiven as you imply above.
The reason repentance is important is it's a measure to help us avoid repeat sinning.

Friend....the word.....scripture comes from a word which means the word of God written. If your church does not teach this.....flee out of that place .

No I'm not Roman Catholic. I'm simply drawing the logical conclusion that if Jesus is the son of God then it follows that His birth must be special and unlike any birth in history (i.e. it should be supernatural as opposed to natural). Adam was the old man while Jesus is the new man: therefore if we study Adam closely we will see that He is the first type of Jesus. Joseph and Mary were still father and mother I the sense that they filled that role legally speak but, not biogically.

Hello Kenneth,
God used 40 different men over a 1600yr.period to write scripture..
But consider 2peter1:16-21.....open your bible and pray and ask God to help you understand...men wrote as they were moved, or borne along by the Spirit of God Himself......God did not say....just freestyle and write anything you feel like:swoon:

Let's see...unless my etymology is wrong then yes cherubim are those who are like children: and Jesus said that unless we becomeme children we cannot enter into His Kingdom.

What is your etymology? So you think that we need to become Keruvim (children...using your logic) to enter The Kingdom? Keruvim are ranks of Malakhim...they are not human nor children. You might want to read The TaNaKh...

Sounds like you are just making this up as you go. Read The TaNaKh regarding Keruvim, hopefully you will learn something...
