Daniel 12:2 is a prophecy on the Resurrection!
Daniel 12:6 the angel asks when it will be fulfilled.
Daniel 12:7 the second angel raises both hands to heaven and swears by God and answers the first angel when the Resurrection will be fulfilled.
Still waiting for the scripture that teaches the resurrection was in 70 AD.
At that time Michael shall stand up,
The great prince who stands
watch over the sons of your people;
And there shall be a time of trouble,
Such as never was since there was a nation,
Even to that time.
And at that time your people shall be delivered,
Every one who is found written in the book.
And many of those who sleep in the dust of the earth shall awake,
Some to everlasting life,
Some to shame
and everlasting contempt.
Daniel 12:1-2
The Resurrection is associated with a time of trouble, such as never was, since there was a nation.
Does the sacking of a city qualify as
a time of trouble, such as never was...
Since Jerusalem had been sacked by the Babylonians already, obviously 70 AD does not qualify as
the "time of trouble, such as never was".
At that time, your people will be delivered.
Were the Jews, Daniels people, delivered in 70 AD?
6 And
one said to the man clothed in linen, who
was above the waters of the river, “How long shall the fulfillment of these wonders
be?”
7 Then I heard the man clothed in linen, who
was above the waters of the river, when he held up his right hand and his left hand to heaven, and swore by Him who lives forever, that
it shall be for a time, times, and half a time; and when the power of the holy people has been completely shattered, all these
things shall be finished.
Daniel 12:6-7
This three and a half year period is the last half of Daniels's 70th week.
Shall we discuss Daniel's 70 weeks prophecy?
24 “Seventy weeks are determined
For your people and for your holy city,
To finish the transgression,
To make an end of sins,
To make reconciliation for iniquity,
To bring in everlasting righteousness,
To seal up vision and prophecy,
And to anoint the Most Holy.
25 “Know therefore and understand,
That from the going forth of the command
To restore and build Jerusalem
Until Messiah the Prince,
There shall be seven weeks and sixty-two weeks;
The street shall be built again, and the wall,
Even in troublesome times.
26 “And
after the sixty-two weeks
Messiah shall be cut off, but not for Himself;
And the people of the prince who is to come
Shall destroy the city and the sanctuary.
The end of it
shall be with a flood,
And till the end of the war desolations are determined.
As of this point in the prophetic timeline, the events of 70 AD have taken place, yet the 70th week has not yet begun.
27 Then he shall confirm a covenant with many for one week;
But in the middle of the week
He shall bring an end to sacrifice and offering.
And on the wing of abominations shall be one who makes desolate,
Even until the consummation, which is determined,
Is poured out on the desolate.”
