Hi Honey Badger:
Just to clarify before I continue, do you know who Depak Chopra is? Did you, by chance, study under him?
no and no ...
i am explaining it ... the two fruits of one tree in another picture are the two sons of Adam as in good son bad son ... or said another way same truth ... Adams two sons are Adams two perceptions of himself, which in bible language is an eating of a tree bearing two fruits ... the eating of which brings about a third part ... or said another way ... when we reason between two a third part comes out from between them ..as in a mixture of both ...
this third part being the perception we have of self ... or a measurement of truth we hold to which becomes a lie/serpent which causes us to stumble ... it is this false perception of self which serves as a comparison to who we really are ...
The future is at the heart of the progressive expansion of opportunities.
The secret of the universe self interacts with the barrier of happiness.
Culture is the wisdom of objective human observation.
Interdependence arises and subsides in incredible mysteries.
Fundamental reality is the path to pure energy.
Perception transforms personal silence.
Orderliness results from spiritual chaos.
These are quotes similar to those of Deepak Chopra. As you can see they are essentially meaningless. They may, at first blush, seem interesting or possibly, to some, profound.
Perhaps you could just focus on what you described as "the law of our mind" and really try to be clear.
yay more bird chatter
you could see the serpent as the highest of angels but in comparison to them over God it is a long and endless falling away from the truth. that is why the son must hand all over to the father, otherwise we make idols out of moon, sun, and stars.
if the serpent is a staff then it becomes the log in our eyes that is removed.
i am ... think of your mind as a garden and what you sow in it you reap ... and now think of from where the seeds come from in relation to a serpent/enemy who enters in from without and sows tares ... our mind is seeded both from within and from without ( duality of mind ) as in an eating of a tree bearing two fruits ... Jesus kept the law "thou shall not eat of it" and therefore he did not make way for a serpent but his garden/mind was seeded only from within ... as in he only ate of that which grew of itself ...
So, metaphorically, my mind is a garden. I can have my own thoughts and I can entertain the thoughts of others. Sure, I'm with you there. I understand that people can try to deceive me for their own ends. That is where my education that includes logic, and critical thinking comes in. The education and experience that I have acquired helps me "weed out" the bad thoughts that others may attempt to plant in the garden of my mind. If Jesus' mind was only seeded from within he would have been cut off from the world and would miss out on novel ideas and concepts. Imagine yourself in solitary confinement, nourished by whatever means you would like to propose, immobile, and denied contact with anyone. Imagine how empty your life would be. Sounds like one of the worst forms of torture. We thrive when we interact with other people, plants, and animals. Rather than live cut off from all people, maybe he should have taken a bite and expanded his world to see what is out there. I know I would.
the tree yielded its fruit to him without him having to touch it ... the bible likens our own reasoning between two as a laboring to bring forth ( Cain in picture ) ... Jesus kept the law so labored for nothing ... all things were his ... worldly things are all of gain ... gain the effect of a sense of lack ... Jesus believed all things were his already ... there are two types of knowledge one of measurement one without measurement ...
thing is ... our own reasoning pictured as a serpent leads us out, but ultimately the end of it leads us back in ... also the reason why the book says that to enter back in one must become like a little child ... little children don't reason ... they in effect keep the law without knowing they are ...
any thought less than one ( as in any thoughts gendered to gain ) are a fly in ones ointment or a speck in ones eye ( a little leaven leavens the whole lump )
Einstein eluded to this inner knowledge in his quote
„The intellect has little to do on the road to discovery. There comes a leap in consciousness, call it Intuition or what you will, the solution comes to you and you don't know how or why.“
Never once in my opening post did I suggest spreading the abstinence of apples to anybody.
Those issues you mentioned are unrelated to to the topic in hand, besides your mention of hunger which I guess needs addressing.
Yes, I imagine 99% of people would choose to eat an offered apple if they were hungry.
But I've made a personal choice. I'd refuse the apple.
Please don't accuse me of preaching, I'm merely discussing my own personal ethics based around what I genuinely to perceive to be to the forbidden fruit.
I'm not absolute in any belief though, hence the open discussion of what could and could not be forbidden fruits according to the laws of Eden.
Right now, we've ruled out Figs, since they share a lot with the Hebrew bible and we've ruled out Pomegranates since they go even further back and both are spoken with positivity and earnest.
If nothing else 'public hermit' don't take life too seriously. I think it's interesting to discuss the symbology of ancient fruit and relative mentions in the books and scriptures.
Wow, I have no words. Wow. Pot is legal in Canada - not my drug of choice. I prefer caffeine during the day and alcohol in the evenings. If you would permit me to ask a personal question, what is your line of work - unless you are now retired. I wonder your educational background. Please grant me this boon.
Thanks I appreciate your honesty. I'm an electronics engineer. I promise not to ask you questions about plumbing. I'll not offer insights into electronics. This may seem like a simplistic question, but I ask it with good intentions: Do you care if your beliefs are true? I have a follow up question depending on your answer.the tree in picture is our soul/women “The woman whom You gave me, she gave me fruit from the tree, and I ate it.”
plumber ....

these things i write go beyond belief ... i see these things in everything all around me and therefor past caring "if they may be true" ... to me its a truth i walk in ...
Ok, correct me if I interpret your answer badly. From your response, I'd say that you do not care if your beliefs are actually true. You seem to garner some enjoyment / fulfillment from them regardless about their validity. Is that assessment fair?
no .... its more of a ... i don't care if others believe these truths i write to be true or not ... although having said that i do feel a sadness that most can not get passed their own reasoning to see what i am seeing, but then again this is Gods doing and He works all things for good, so who am i to judge ... as a whole i do find enjoyment unraveling His word and perhaps some fulfillment in knowing or having a knowledge of the patterns of the process of our souls journey of a there and back, but to me this is just a means to an end and the end a new beginning ...
you see Xavier i see you as i see myself ... the knowledge i have does not make me more than you or you less than me ... we being equal in the eye of God regardless of what we know or do not know here in this wilderness caught between two mountains ....
Ok, but I have to bring you back a step. I asked you the direct question: Do you care if your beliefs are true? You responded that you do not care if others believe the things that you believe. I'll have to ask you again: Do you care if what you believe is true. That is the only question that I would like a reply to just now.
as i said i am past caring ... there is no "if" to me anymore ... my doubt have been removed ... what i believe to be true i see in all things and so all things testify to it ...
your question implies doubt ... i have no doubt ... to me it just is ... you are asking me "if my" beliefs are true ... i have moved past the "my" in your question ... which is to say these truths i write are not of "my own" reasoning as something labored for ... what i write has been freely given to me before i was knitted together in my mothers womb ...
For perspective, I think it might be fair to suggest that @honey badger is something of a mystic.
Ok. So you don't care if your beliefs are correct. You seem to be saying that you are above and beyond the rest of us mere mortals. Are you next going to claim that you are a prophet? Dude, you are a plumber - nothing wrong with that at all. Why are you writing your responses as though you are some great sage of the ages? I've no more reason to believe what you say, given you admit that you do not care if it is true, than I would a sandwich board wielding nut case on the street, "End of Daying" to me and trying to get me to buy a pencil from his cup. Truly, I hope that no one ever buys a pencil from you. And, just to be kind, seriously, you very much need to seed legitimate mental health care before your beliefs become more dangerous than your posts here. Wow, I've never come across someone as damaged as you in real life. Please seek help immediately.
asking me if i care whether my beliefs are true, is like me asking you if you care the sky is up, you know its up because you see its up and so why care if its up when you know its up unless you be blind and doubt its up ...
