I REALLY want the original singles to The Joshua Tree. I heard a clip of "Luminous Times" on the official site, and it sounds beautiful. As I's rather have an original copy of it, I'll look around on I ebay for it when I have the money, as I've seen all of the singles being sold on there.
I've got a full mp3 of it that I could send to you if you want. I'd highly advise looking around on the Internet for somewhere with the original singles cheap. Someone I know thinks www.gemm.com is very good for finding what you need - I've never used it, they just told me it today when I requested a site to find U2 posters.

I Wish U2 were allowed to play at this year's superbowl, as I missed the half time performance they did in 2001, and had to download it on the internet instead. I heard Ol' Blue Eyes asked to play at this year's but wasn't allowed to because he wanted to highlight AIDS.
Yeah, the 2002 Super Bowl Half-Time Show was fantastic. I too downloaded it, I absolutely adore it, the performance of MLK always makes hairs stand up on the back of my neck. I can't believe they turned him down this year. Apparently the reason was that the Show's for entertainment purposes only. So millions of people dying of AIDS is less important than a temporary pleasure? And Bono performing isn't entertaining? It would've been a lot more skillful and a lot less outrageous than what really happened. At least our Bono doesn't lip-synch and flash ...

Someone talking about an important issue does not automatically entitle them to a super bowl appearance. I'm not going to get into a debate about whether or not a person should or should not watch entertainment while millions are dying, but I respect CBS's decision. And I'm no expert on super bowl performances, but the same performer showing up two out of three years is probably rare.

Thanks for the website Ax. I'll check it out. :)
I'm come across some pretty neat U2 posters myself on allposters.com. I especially like the giant Joshua Tree poster.
I think I'll pas you up on the mp3 though. My dad is really strict about people one the internet sending me stuff via e-mail. (and he checks my e-mails)

BTWY, are they rumored to perform at the Grammys, or just attend? If thye were to perform, that'd be awesome.:)

Hi Axver and Indigo tree, I'm back
It's Good to see that more fans have found this thread :)

I decided to return the forum it's a good place to discuss questions ect. I've decided to follow the Bible for what is, not religious teachings.

Has anyone heard that fake 24 second clip of "origin of the species" from interference? It's funny how many fans are making false U2 records, lyrics, Album covers, song titles ect. lol

I've downloading heaps from relievetheconcert.com, here are concerts i have in video mpg. I'm downloading A year in POP now.

UF Dortmund-pro shot
Syracuse Joshua tree-proshot
Lovetown sydney-pro shot-partial
Santiago popmart-pro shot-partial
Roterdam Popmart-pro shot-partial
Ivering plaza-pro shot
Elevation Toronto
Elevation Torino
Elevation Barcelona

And thanks for those Mp3 concert links Axver heres some more.

http://www.zoostation.narod.ru/u2_live.htm about 50 concerts, but half are broken links.

Hey Janine, glad you decided to stay.

Ax, if you can give me a link of where to download "Luminous Times," that'd be great.
Gosh, I should check out those concert vids you got there, Janine.

Anyone here listen to U2 Outloud? Its a little thing you can download of the net, and all it plays is U2 songs. Its really neat, though now I can't get it to work...

Indigo Tree: Sorry, can't help you with a link for Luminous Times, because I downloaded it off WinMX. Shame I can't send it to you, it's one of my favourite b-sides. Though Alex Descends Into Hell For A Bottle Of Milk/Korova 1, Bass Trap (the 5:13 one!), and Always are the best b-sides. If you didn't have such strict rules happening there, I could send you a heap of stuff ...

Janine: Nice to see you back! I've seen those websites you posted, I'm just peeved that first one is missing Bad from Charlotte Elevation. I'm now trying to find an mp3 of that. I'm interested in some of the stuff you've got, so maybe we could organise a trade. I'll PM you.

If anyone else is interested in a trade, there's a list of all my stuff and trading rules at www.geocities.com/u2axver.

Here's some more links you guys might like;

Is the complete set of Joshua Tree singles actually out on CD? Hang on ... yes it is, I know everything back to Gloria (Fire?) is. I wish they'd re-release everything from Boy, I'm dying to get my hands on the 11 O'clock Tick Tock and Another Day singles. I have mp3s of both, but that's not the same. I once saw one vinyl form of 11OTT being sold for over US$1000!

Personally, I'd love the RAH era singles, seeing I don't have many b-sides from that era. All the really good stuff from the UF era (probably my fave) is only on vinyl, not CD - for example, an extended studio version of 11 O'clock Tick Tock appeared as a b-side for Pride somewhere. There's some amazing rarities out there, just I wish they weren't so hard to find and being sold for so much.
