And I know you missed the write up on U2

Heh, yeah, so true!Janine said:And to quote Bono "God has some really weird children out there"
No, but I do have the last night of Elevation, also at Miami. I have some snippets of the first night, but I haven't really listened to them. Where'd you get the entire concert from? I'd love to hear it.BTW Has anyone one heard the opening night of Miami?
I think they played it a reasonable amount of times, and the way they reinvented it was awesome. I have some great performances of it on some boots. I think they should have played 11 O'clock Tick Tock a bit more; I would've liked to have seen it played a few more times instead of the amount that Out Of Control was played. It's interesting to note they played A Sort Of Homecoming twice and acoustic versions of such songs as In God's Country and Please. And they didnt play the fly much as well; maybe they just didnt suit the set list or something.
Heh, that's opposite to me. I feel pre-JT is what it's all about; they made their best stuff pre-War but the War and UF tour concerts were the best. Gloria and 11 O'clock Tick Tock are simply awesome. I love the 21 November 1984 and 29 April 1987 performances of Gloria.I personally like War and after, anything before that I dont listen too much.
I haven't noticed Streets slowing down, though yes, SBS has gotten a good deal slower. I think it's just they're changing things around, though I'm not really sure. Bono's voice has deteriorated so they've had to tune down some songs to suit his voice, which would explain some of it.Janine said:And another thing I have noticed IMO it seems their older songs are getting slower with time, streets seem to be played at a slower pace on the Elevation tour the same as Sunday bloody Sunday, when you listen to rattle and hum they sound faster. And I dont think it would be an age thing either. Do you understand what Im saying or is it just me?

Haha. Well I'm thinking soon they'll reinvent SBS and other old songs. SBS is the best example: it was fast in the early days, in the JT era they took the first verse slow and then launched into it, on Popmart Edge played it solo, and then they slowed it down for Elevation. They tend to reinvent a few songs each tour.Janine said:Well, just imagine how slow it will be in another 10 years lol.
It's been ongoing really. I think I made a detailed post about it a while ago ...But it's sad that Bono's voice has deteriorated lately.
Yeah, well I'd love to, but I can never seem to get onto Relive The Concert! Gah.And you "MUST" get the Miami soundboard. It would have to be the best concert I have on my computer that I downloaded from relieve the concert.com
Alright, I'll see you over there. I'll pray for you if you would like.I'll see you at Interference axver and others. I wont be posting here for awhile, I need to work out my faith issues, doubt ect, beliefs.
You may find the Goal Is Soul forum at Interference helpful, and I know what you mean about some people ... that's why I have the quote by The Edge in my signature!Janine said:I'll still come here some times, I'm just having trouble completely believing in God, I've been saved for 6 months, i'm just having trouble with what to believe, and many people on the forum seem to take excessive measures to be prude and condemning. i just need a break.
Oh, no need to worry about that. UK Cowboy, Janine got it from www.relivetheconcert.com. I think I know someone here in Australia with a copy of it - and a DVD of one Miami concert, not sure which - so I might do a trade with him. I just got some stuff off him;Axver if you want the Miami soundboard i can post it to you, just PM me your details![]()
Have you heard the remix of With Or Without You, LMC versus U2 'Take Me To The Clouds Above'? Apparently it's gone to number one in Britain, though I hate it.Loki said:I'm listening to With or Without you right now, actually.
Too right. I wish they'd gone with one idea of making it a 2CD set ... some of the b-sides from that era are awesome. I adore Luminous Times (Hold On To Love).IMO, Joshua tree should be listened to straight through, because it works so well in order.
Well then, you're more than welcome here!Sign Of The Fish said:Well I didnt read all the posts, however i LOVE U2
I've got two copies of that. Isn't it AWESOME? Best performances of Beautiful Day, Kite, Angel Of Harlem, Mysterious Ways, and Walk On ever. I'm in love with it. I want to get the bootleg of the first Slane concert from 25 September 2001.I bought their live concert in Dublin
I would love that so much! Im always up for new concerts to see. If you could send me some links it would be great!Axver said:Well then, you're more than welcome here!

The Boston concert ... overall, I think that was better than the Slane concert. While Slane has more 'best evers', Boston was the more solid show in my opinion ... and I just prefer the setlist. Best performance of The Fly, and Bullet The Blue Sky is only just nudged out by a few ZooTV performances, namely Stockholm '92.
If you're interested in more live U2, I could give you some links to where you can download some good concerts in mp3 format.
