Where are those photos from? How recent are they?

It's interesting to note that lately, Edge has not been wearing his beanie in public and has shaved his head bald. I'm looking forward to seeing what their newest look will be. Larry, of course, will still have the same haircut and look fourteen, while Adam will keep the frownsmile and remain the very essence of true 'cool'. Just go watch him on the Where The Streets Have No Name video for COOL.

They were taken here January 17, 2004, (The King Center, Atlanta, GA)

Nice and recent :)

Have you heard of it or seen it before?
Yep, it - along with a couple of others that were then debunked or seen to be too ridiculous - has appeared on the Where The Album Has No Name forum on Interference.com, where I'm quite active.

when I'm waiting for a new album i believe anything people claim
Heh, I'll often just sit back and see what the folks on Interference say because they often have some very good input, and then make up my mind about what to believe. I've just been soaking things in and from what I've read, I'm saying May 10/11 with some confidence.

Oh, my birthday! I should've sent my best friend there to get an autograph for me! She lives not far from Atlanta.

And it's interesting to see Bono's new look, with the hair dye ...

I think he looks rather young, that is when is nice and clean shaven.:)
Is Anton really doing the photographs for it? Isn't he the guy who did the Joshua Tree? I love those shots.

Hmm, Bono dyed his hair. Weird. o_O

I can't wait for the album. If U2 says its great then its gonna be great. (they're usually corrected about these type of things)

Oh and Happy belated b-day Ax!:)

Bono is known for really hyping an album. take his words with a grain of salt

Bono has been known for hyping albums that deserve to be hyped up! Except for zooropa and I don't think he hyped up that album much. IMO :)

We all know how bono said atyclb was to be a ''hard rocking album'' was not really the case but who knows we will just have to see.
No, Bono did not say it would be a hard rocking album, though he did say many things about it that proved to be untrue, or not true in the conventional sense. This time, not only has Bono said it would be a rocking ("it's like punk rock made on Venus") but so has Edge and various other sources. It will most likely be as it is said to be.

can someone posts the anton corbin pics here? for as i am banned from interference.
We don't have any Anton Corbijn pictures, we just know he's been taking photos. The general question asked of a rumoured album cover is "does that look like Corbijn's work?" And you got banned from Interference? Wow. What, for badmouthing Jick? Hehe.

I'm not 100% on what albums he's done, but he's been their photographer for a while, definitely did ATYCLB and I'm pretty sure he did The Joshua Tree. He's definitely doing the photos, that's rather his job.

Oh and Happy belated b-day Ax!
Thank you! Shame there was no single release for my birthday, hehe.

I exclaimed a personal opinion on U2 about 9 months ago and it kinda got on elvis's back so he gave me some email and i gave some to him and then both parties got ****ed off and he banned me. He even found out where I work and gave my superiors the 3rd degree for allowing me to post on my office computer. Elvis a person who would sniff Bono's underwear if he had the chance.

Sheesh, I see. I've never quite been Elvis's biggest fan. A couple of his comments recently about the new album have reeked of arrogance. But I like the place, so I just put up with him.

Whenever anything new comes up, I'll post it. We have nothing but rumour, speculation, and what I've already posted at the moment.

And I'd just like to take this opportunity to draw attention to my nice, new, Edge-y signature.

SEPTEMBER SONGS....?
January 22, 2004
posted by: christianactor

Despite the announcement which remains on Universal Italy's web site that U2 will release its new album in May, the latest signs are all pointing to a release later in the year.

Two Italian fan sites, U2star.com and U2place.com have received emails from Universal Italy this week relaying a quote from U2 manager Paul McGuinness that the album will not be out in May, but will instead be out "after the summer." Adding to that, U2 fans who recently spoke with Bono in the U.S. are reporting on various Forums and mailing lists that Bono said the album would be out in September because the band hit a "snag" in the recording.

These reports coincide with tips we've received this week from other sources also suggesting a September release date. As far as tour dates go, the rumors we're hearing are that there might be a brief series of promotional shows or appearances this fall to support the album, but the formal tour wouldn't start until early 2005. Again, these arerumors. We've contacted official sources and are waiting for a response.

Yes, but Bono has said he wants to tour during the American Presidential election - we all know how political he is - so a May release will allow him to tour then. Releasing it now would be perfect because it'd go number one without even a second glance, though it's almost assured of doing that at any time of the year. ATYCLB went number one in about 33 countries worldwide.

I just long for the glory days of The Joshua Tree ... that went platinum in less than twenty-eight hours in Britain.
