  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

My daughters and I used to sing this song in the car over and over and even trying to get the talking parts down to a "T". And if we messed up we would re-wind it (back when we had cassette tapes lol) We laughed so hard and it's such a good memory!

I didn't really like the Manafest song (too rock & rollish). The Rose song is nice :).

I posted this song on another thread and I am going to post it again here because I like it. I think it was one of the last Jazz style songs to make it to the Top 40 chart. I was glad to hear it when it originally came out because I was happy to hear a traditional Jazz style song assert itself in a realm mostly reserved for rock and pop so I think it's cool . When I was 10 years old I liked it and still do, I'm not sure what that says about me.

I think that song is way before my time ;) How about this one?

Nice story :). And that song I posted actually came out in the early seventies. So it was kind of an oddity in that respect although it sounds like it could have been recorded around 1940, is wasn't (I'm not that old, lol).

I didn't really like it and I saw the word "partridge" when I glanced at it. For a second I thought it would be something by the Partridge Family and I almost panicked, LOL.

Well, I don't think I have a passing grade at 33%, lol.

I took the day off and walked my favorite trail this afternoon. Actually, I am still on the trail - about a mile before I get to my car. Kind of nice to get away even for a little bit.

Sounds wonderful! I might visit the cemetary after work after I shop for a dryer before I go home. It's always peaceful there.
