I have never found out why scientists even believe in evolution. One thing that people should think about is that if evolution even exists, why aren't we evolving into a more complex being?

You are correct, but that barely scratches the surface. You also have to consider that if evolution is true, how did we (as humans) develop our own free will and survive? We're the only creatures on this planet that has free will. Indeed, this free-will that we humans have wouldn't work in the wild because in the wild, the rules are "Kill or be killed", which leaves no room for compassion or any other "humanitarian" trait. I'd go as far as to say that an animal that developed free-will and compassion would be far more likely to become extinct than other animals simply because compassion means that that species would put the survival of others before itself, so compassion would actually be a regressive trait for a species in the wild, probably to the point that humans wouldn't have survived as a species if we had gained compassion through simple evolution.

they were calling themselves Christian evolutionists, theistic if you will. So i was trying to tell tham that you can't believe that God created the earth and evolution at the same time. That God created the earth and that evolution states that the earth was created by a big bang. That dinosaurs were around at the time of man. it says that in Job. Yet this big I know everything guy came along and said there is no such verse, that evolution does not state that, and that i was bearing false witness and was not going to get past the pearly gates because of it. he said i needed to do my research when he didn't know half of what he was talking about

Yeah, you just have to be patient with those people. It's extremely tempting to just say, "What are you talking about, you're the one who doesn't know what you're talking about, etc.", but that's just going down to their level and you can't teach someone something unless you remain patient and kind. It is difficult and that is why I don't go to the "Dicussion & Debate" forums or other "debate" type forums nearly as much as I used to: I don't have the patience that is required to deal with some of the crazy people and ideals that seem to inhabit that forum anymore.

Yo, SFC. I'm at the wedding rehearsal for Daniel and Christine!!!! I don't know if you coming tommorow and since summer school is over we need to get in touch on here more often because we're probably not going to talk to each other until school starts. We haven't gotten started yet but I'm going to see if Daniel wants to be on here because he'll be moving away and I won't see him for a while. If Daniel does come we need to vote if we want him in the lounge, even though I think it's hands-down yesssss. I'm here while you guys are not, praying for my best friend, whose house burned to the ground this morning. You guys know her very well, so I know that you will pray for her and her family. They really are going through a rough time.

Man...and I was so hyped up about how great counsuling at church camp was...

Hey, I'm leaving sometime tomorrow morning for senior camp at my church camp, so don't freak out or think that I'm missing when I don't log until next weekend. The aforementioned friend will be in my prayers but I do also ask that you guys pray for me as well that I may get something beneficial from camp.

I don't usually ask for prayer on my behalf, but I'm afraid that I've been feeling as though I have no spiritual momentum for a little bit. I would appreciate some prayer. Thank you!
