To be honest, and I am not afraid to admit it...I dislike being unattached/single. I seem to see more people here talking about how they prefer to be unattached rather than attached. I do tend to wonder if these initial posts are by those are trying to cope with the loneliness though.
For me it's recognizing my faults and realizing I have nothing to offer someone else. I've got nothing to offer a woman she would want. I'm not a decent human being, nor do I meet the definition of a 'real man', nor am I successful. I'm not physically attractive either.

Even if I wanted a companion, the odds are too stacked against me to bother trying any longer. In that case, the best I can do is learn to be happy with life as it is.

Everyone has their faults. How can you say you're "not a decent human being"...what are you doing, kicking dogs or tripping old people? I dunno, I just sense a lot a negativity in your attitude.

I am curious as to what makes you think that you're "not a decent human being"?

They weren't necessarily forward with the women, they were actually nice guys, both men and women... but they certainly just acted...slow and awkward.

In my experience, when groups of people are involved, social awkwardness is rarely one-sided. If the men are awkward, the women are probably awkward too.

Well, yes, of course. That goes without saying. I was just speaking in dialogue with a woman's experience with the men she's come across that have approached her.

That's a topic for another thread. I could write volumes on the topic, complete with references.
