Gen 2:4-7 God the Trinity "created" Adam which means that Adam was made immortal on the present 6th Day Gen 1:27 or Spiritually in the Image and likeness of Jesus. Adam will live forever just as God lives forever. Gen 1:26 Gen 5:1-2 and John 14:16

I DO have a problem with over-hyping something and then revealing that the hype was vapor. Even if that happens on 'my side' (as was done with ENCODE, for example, or those claims a few years back that a NASA researcher had discovered a new form of life). You implied that the soul is real and we are "rebootable" because in part of this amazing, tremendous, massive, one-of-a-kind study. I looked into it. I saw a LOT of hyperbole leading up to the study's release. And then, the aftermath was 'more to do, no real conclusions.'

What did you think I would do? Convert on the spot?

LOL, heck no, you had said there was "no evidence" so I just provided you a link to some hopefully unbiased "evidence' in regards to a soul, what you believe or do not believe is up to you. Just stating that I think there are ways to find out that a "soul" is real. I did not think it was that substantial of a study either, just something I found online with a 1 minute search is all, one can find "evidence" to support or deny nearly anything. In light of the condition of the world, in light of goodness and the beauty we see, it makes sense to me, the evidence is there for those who want to see it to see it, what prism one uses to see something thru is there choice.

Genesis 2:16 And the LORD God commanded the man, saying, Of every tree of the garden thou mayest freely eat:
Genesis 2:17 But of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat of it: for in the day that thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely die.

But then we see "Elohim" said it:

Genesis 3:1 Now the serpent was more subtil than any beast of the field which the LORD God had made. And he said unto the woman, Yea, hath God said, Ye shall not eat of every tree of the garden?

How is it in Genesis 2:16 that JEHOVAH Elohim (Jesus) issued the original command; yet Elohim (the Trinity) also gets the credit?

That's because of two things:

1. Elohim and Jesus are interchangeable.

2. Eve didn't know God as JEHOVAH Elohim yet. This wasn't revealed to man until Abraham's time.

I can't agree with your beliefs. No one discovered that we are products of evolution. Evolving is God's hand, but all evolving started after creation. There is a big difference is creation happening and then some evolving, and claiming evolution is creation.
