  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Everytime you see Israel in Scriptures is mainly talking about the Church. I already showed the "chosen race" verse.

Why did the 1st Pope and the Apostles disagree with your interpretation?

“Lord, are you at this time going to restore the kingdom to Israel?” (Acts 1:6)

Because they were still thinking about Christ as a political revolutionary. They didn't even receive the Holy Spirit yet.

Jesus was a Jew of the House of Judah.
"Jew" means Judah. When I was in High School this was a word that they did not like to use. Although today it does not seem to be an issue because this is a word the world knows the meaning of.
Also "Judean"
Jesus' betrayer "Judas" also comes from the word "Judah".....

2455. Ioudas ee-oo-das' of Hebrew origin (3063); Judas (i.e. Jehudah), the name of ten Israelites; also of the posterity of one of them and its region:--Juda(-h, -s); Jude.
2449. Ioudaia ee-oo-dah'-yah feminine of 2453 (with 1093 implied); the Judaean land (i.e. Judaea), a region of Palestine:--Judaea.
2453. Ioudaios ee-oo-dah'-yos from 2448 (in the sense of 2455 as a country); Judaean, i.e. belonging to Jehudah:--Jew(-ess), of Judaea.

History of God's Holy Bible and the so-called Jews

History of God's Holy Bible and the so-called Jews
The Etymology of the Word "Jew"

In his classic Facts are Facts, Jewish historian, researcher and scholar Benjamin Freedman writes:

Jesus is referred as a so-called "Jew" for the first time in the New Testament in the 18th century. Jesus is first referred to as a so-called "Jew" in the revised 18th century editions in the English language of the 14th century first translations of the New Testament into English. The history of the origin of the word "Jew" in the English language leaves no doubt that the 18th century "Jew" is the 18th century contracted and corrupted English word for the 4th century Latin "Iudaeus" found in St. Jerome's Vulgate Edition. Of that there is no longer doubt.

John 7:1, "After these things Jesus walked in Galilee: for He would not walk in Jewry, because the Jews sought to kill Him."

According to Strong's Greek Lexicon, the English word "Jewry" in this verse was translated from the Greek word #2449 Ioudaia {ee-oo-dah'-yah} feminine for the land of Judea. Modern translations no longer use the word "Jewry" but the correct translation, "Judea," as in the New American Standard Bible: "And after these things Jesus was walking in Galilee; for He was unwilling to walk in Judea, because the Jews were seeking to kill Him." The New International Version uses the same word. However, these translations continue to improperly use the word "Jews" in the same verse. A consistent translation would read: ". . . He was unwilling to walk in Judea, because the Judeans were seeking to kill Him."

Today most people think of Jews as the people of Israel, but that is not correct. An Israelite was one who had descended from Jacob. In Jesus' time individual Jews may or may not have descended from Jacob, but they all recognized Pharisaism and not the Law of Moses. A Jew is properly a Judean.

The apostles were wrong about Jesus? We're blessed that you're here to correct them! ^_^

They didn't even receive the Holy Spirit yet.

Yes they had received the Holy Spirit:

And with that he breathed on them and said, “Receive the Holy Spirit" John 20:22

I never said I was better than the Apostles, St.Peter was wrong about circumcision but he wrote of Christians as a "chosen race".

So what was Pentecost if they had the power already?

Us being a chosen race means Israel does not exist? I've got news for you. I have been in Israel. It does exist.

So what was Pentecost if they had the power already?

You said:

I said that was untrue:

Yes they had received the Holy Spirit:

And with that he breathed on them and said, “Receive the Holy Spirit" John 20:22

We have established that they had already received the Holy Spirit when they asked about the return of the Kingdom of Israel in Acts 1:6 and when they were empowered by the Holy Spirit in Acts 2.

When the Apostles asked about the time of the return of the Kingdom of Israel they were standing with Jesus. Jesus was standing with them! Jesus did not say 'The church has replaced Israel'. He said 'Only the Father knows the time'. Only the Father knew the time that Israel would return. You're even disagreeing with the Lord Jesus.

Is there not a pastor or an elder you can have a bible study with- this might help you a lot friend. Some of your interpretations are completely off the chart.

God Bless :)

I give up. If you want to believe a secular nationalist state is "God's country" then it is your problem. Not even Orthodox Jews believe in it.

Like I said, the Apostles' perspective was not right or do you believe the Apostles were infallible?

Jesus was present there too. I believe Jesus. Let's recap. This is a New Testament event. This is after the apostles had received the Holy Spirit. This is a conversation between The Apostles and JESUS!

Acts 1:6 Then they gathered around him and asked him, “Lord, are you at this time going to restore the kingdom to Israel?”

Acts 1:7 Jesus said to them: “It is not for you to know the times or dates the Father has set by his own authority"

Jesus did not say that the church had replaced Israel.

Jesus said that only the Father knew when the Kingdom would be restored to Israel.

Jesus believed that the Kingdom would be restored to Israel.

The Lord Jesus, the Son of God, The Holy one of Israel, our Lord and Saviour believed that the Kingdom would be restored to Israel.

The time of the restoration of the Kingdom to Israel is set by the Father's Authority.

The Church did not replace Israel. Israel has been the believers, first the Jews and then the Gentiles.

Jesus believed that the Kingdom would be restored to Israel.
But not to the people currently occupying a small part of the holy land and who falsely claim to be Israel. Jesus told them that the Kingdom was taken from them and given to the people who bear the proper fruit. Matthew 21:43
Colossians 1:12 Give thanks to the Father who has made you [Christians] fit to be part of the heritage of the Kingdom.

lismore; there will be no redemption for those who reject Jesus, your belief of Jewish Israel being saved and restored, isn't Biblical and will not happen.

The Church did not replace Israel. Israel has been the believers, first the Jews and then the Gentiles.
The OC Mosaic Priesthood was replaced with the NC Melchizedek Priesthood of Christ.......:preach:
The OC Priesthood or sacrifices will never ever be accepted by Jesus in the future, Temple or no Temple........

What about Revelation 11:1-2 SANCTUARY, COURT AND HOLY CITY

Revelation 11:
1 And was given to me a reed like-as rod saying "rouse! and measure! the Sanctuary<3485> of God and the Altar[Golden Altar] and those worshiping in it
2 and the Court/Fold<833>[Priests/Lavar/Altar of Sacrifice] outside of the Sanctuary, be casting-out!<1544> out-side<1854> and no it thou should be measuring, that it was given to the Gentiles/Nations.
And the holy City they shall be treading<3961>forty two months.

OC Mosaic Priesthood cursed forever?

Hosea 4:6
My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge. Because you have rejected knowledge, I also will reject you from being priest for Me;
Because you have forgotten the law of your God, I also will forget your children.

Malachi 2
1 “And now, O priests, this command is for you. 2 If you will not listen, if you will not take it to heart to give honor to my name, says the Lord of hosts, then I will send the curse upon you and I will curse your blessings. Indeed, I have already cursed them, because you do not lay it to heart.
3 Behold, I will rebuke your offspring, and spread dung on your faces, the dung of your offerings, and you shall be taken away with it

7 For the lips of a Priest should guard knowledge, and people should seek instruction from his mouth, for he is the messenger of the Lord of hosts.
8 But you have turned aside from the way. You have caused many to stumble by your instruction. You have corrupted the covenant of Levi, says the Lord of hosts, 9 and so I make you despised and abased before all the people, inasmuch as you do not keep my ways but show partiality in your instruction.”
=======================
Hebrews 7:12
For being changed/translated<3346> the Priesthood, out of necessity also, of Law a change/translation<3331> is becoming,

Revelation 1:6
And makes us kings and priests to the God and Father Him. To Him the glory and the might into the ages of the ages. Amen.
Revelation 5:10
And Thou make them kings and priests to our God and we shall be reigning on the land.

The All of Israel that the Lord will save, will be every faithful Christian person; the Overcomers for Him, the Israelites of God, from every tribe [of Israel] every race, nation and language.
The apostate peoples currently living in a part of the holy Land will be gone. Zephaniah 1:14-18, Jeremiah 10:18, +
