Hey forum,

I'm with the production team behind the new film "The Good Catholic" starring Danny Glover & John C. McGinley.

I feel the portrayal of the Catholic Church in most forms of media is limited to scandals or stereotypes, fueling a dismissive attitude towards religion from people outside the church. Our goal was to show priests (three of the four main characters are priests), as humans, just as likely to fight over the last piece of bacon as they are take you on a philosophical and emotional journey with a homily on human rights. Part of our mission for making this film was to help create a dialogue between people of faith and those outside the church. For us to understand and respect each other, we need to see each other as people first. If you would be willing, check out the trailer and let us know your thoughts.

From the trailer, what I got out of it is that it's going to be about a priest who falls in love with a woman, and then has to choose between continuing service as a priest, or love.

Though I'm not catholic, I would watch this film. There are so few films these days that even look interesting to me.
